Holy sweet sugary goodness! Harlow Layne you get over here and give me more right now! This was my first time reading Harlow and it’s definitely not going to be the last. I need more of Alex and Luke RIGHT MEOW please! Seriously. It’s a need. I may actually wither away without more. You don’t want me to wither do you? If you can’t tell I really, REALLY, big loved this book. Always a sucker for super sweet and an even bigger sucker for a Hollywood romance, and the ultimate junkie of single parent romance I was beyond in love with everything about Hollywood Redemption.
From the instant sparks to navigating the waters on a long distance relationship both Alex and Luke remain adorably sweet and absolutely perfect together. Even during harder times you still feel how strong the love between them is. I found myself almost immediately hooked to their story. Don’t let their sweetness fool you, they also bring some scorching heat to the table with that off the charts chemistry they have!
From start to finish I loved everything Alex and Luke. Now I’m off to bounce around impatiently waiting for the next book!

The heroine is Alex, a ingle mother. Our hot hero, Luke is an actor. The story seemed to drag on forever. I can appreciate how the characters took their time getting to know each other. But it still felt like forever. I kept putting to down and coming back to it. Connecting to the character was difficult for me. Alex had lots insecurities and baggage overall and Luke was very understanding of them. Book 2 will continue their journey with their relationship

OMG this is my first book I have read by Harlow Layne and I am in love. I couldn't put this book down. The story between Luke and Alex left me wanting more. I cried with them through this book.
Alex a single mother who struggles with her crazy ex who constantly harasses her. Luke the hot up and coming actor from Sweden.
I relate to Alex in the sense of how hard to be in a new relationship when you were emotionally abused in the last one. How she does think highly of herself because of her ex Decker. Then Luke come's along and shows her that there are good loving men out there that will treat you like a queen. Luke and Alex fell in love. He constantly shows her that he loves her and Mason.

Cute and Sweet, Hollywood Redemption was a great read. Hollywood meets a single mom, regular Jane, Luke and Alex have sparks flying from the moment they meet. The chemistry continues through their story, and Hollywood Redemption runs the gambit of emotions. I loved watching the two of them learn more about each other.
Hollywood Redemption is a great story that is paced well and keeps you hooked. There *is* a cliffhanger that leaves you salivating for the next installment!

HOLY ABSOLUTE SWEETNESS BATMAN! Hollywood Redemption was a fantastic read that I had no problem getting fully invested from the very get go. It's the story of single mother Alex, who has been hurt in her past relationships, especially her marriage, so meeting Luke when she went to visit her friend, was almost too good to be true. Luke is an up & coming actor in Hollywood, who isn't a man whore, completely unselfish, and really wants the whole family thing. They start getting to know each other, but living across the country from each other, definitely made for some more difficult issues, but somehow, they're making it work. I really loved the fact that they took time to get to know each other, and of course, with him working on location a lot, they had no other choice. And when they finally did act on their sizzling chemistry, they lit the sheets on fire during sexy times, although there was growing pains in bed as well. I guess that's what made it more realistic for me, was all of the growing pains that they went through while trying to start a relationship especially with some of her hangups from past baggage. There's a cast of secondaries that added in more depth, as some were amazing, while others are still a question mark for me, due to the decisions they made to create drama. And those decisions made for a twist or two that had me dropping loud f-bombs, not to mention more colorful metaphors. I'm fully invested in Luke & Alex so CANNOT WAIT for the next book! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Alex and Luke are really one of these couples that captivate you and draw you into there world. Two different worlds collide and they become entangled. I actually loved this story it was not only a story of love but a look at second chances at love. I love the authors writing, the characters intrigued me, and the plot drew me in. Love like theirs is such a once in a life time experience. I really enjoyed every second of the roller coaster of emotions from the characters. I would so recommend this story to anyone who loves second chance romances, they will love this story

I am a Hollywood romance stories addict, Harlow Layne delivered with a cherry on top. I am so glad I got this book. Alex and Luke have a chemistry off the charts, they are perfect for each other. I was dragged into this story and wasn't allowed to stop until the end, the emotions, their own insecurities and how they tackled them was just perfect, kudos for the amazing story line. I need the next book now!

I loved this debut novel from Harlow Layne. It was a real love story with realistic issues. I thought the author did a great job of building up the characters Alex and Luke. I love a slow burn and that's what I got. I can't wait to see what happens next. Kudos, Mrs. Layne!!!

Alex is single mom with a host of insecurities and has given up on finding love. Luke is an actor in Hollywood. The two meet over a drink and the sparks between them fly high. Will texts and phone calls be enough to keep them together? Will the distance be too much? I can't wait to read the next book to find out.

As single mother with a horrible ex, Alex has always assumed she would never find anyone who she could connect with. But a simple encounter over a few drinks brings Luke, an actor, into her life. When the sparks fly can the two find their way being miles apart? Will the hours spent together over the phone and via emails and texts be enough? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that was completely honest and raw this was a great book. This is my first by this author but it will not be my last!!

What an awesome book from Harlow Layne! I loved Luke and Alex's story. It was filled with lots of sweet heat and I loved the realness of Alex's emotions and insecurities. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I need the resolution to that cliffhanger now!

This is a well written story which is Alex and Luke’s story, and how from the moment they met there was an instant connection. However, can their relationship survive the distance and fame? No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed! I was intrigued and hooked throughout, and look forward to reading more in this series.

Slow burn with lots of heat
This was my first time reading this author and I’ll admit that as I first got into the story it was a little confusing. There were so many characters and names it was hard to keep track. Ultimately I did enjoy the story of Alex and Luke, and I plan to continue reading the series. As the story progressed it’s obvious this writer has talent and the confusion didn’t return. The character of Alex is very relatable but I do have questions about her past. Her time with Luke be it together or long distance is very sweet, and as she says many times perfect. The cliffhanger got me as these characters have been very open and honest with communication and I feel like Alex doesn’t give Luke the same courtesy to express himself without judgement like he has done for her. There are some parts of the story that seem a little rushed, and others that drag on but overall a good story that I plan to continue.
**update.. I didn’t realize there was a prequel. Had I read that book first it may have cleared up my slow to engage response on the first part of this book

I gotta say, this book was everything and nothing like I expected. I could not put it down once I started it and did not want it to end when I got there.
A captivating very well written read! An intense emotionally heartfelt story-line that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout this beautifully written story!

I’m going to start off by saying even thought you can read this as a stand alone I really suggest reading the prequel. In the start of this it gives a fast paced break down of that but I was totally lost, so had to read it to know what really happened and a sense of knowing. So read With Love, Alex first.
This book was a perfect Hollywood Star meets small town girl. The banter between the characters was cute and I liked most of the secondary characters. I liked the issues that the characters faced and while most of them were pretty simple the ending has me craving more. I think for this authors first books that she really great job at keeping me hooked.
I will say that some of the dialogue between the characters seemed a little stiff but the author was able to put it back into an easy banter most of the time. It does end on a cliff hanger so he warned. It wasn’t a super bad one that leaves me angry but at the same times I’m really annoyed with Alex. I do plan to read the next one. 3.5 stars #2OCCJD

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I am glad that I did. The story flows well and I found it to be an easy and enjoyable read.
Alex has had her fair share of heartbreak in her life and is focused on her son and herself. Luke is an actor who is very private and likes to keep to himself. When they first meet the attraction is instant. I love how they manage to get to know each other, despite the long distance and Luke's very hectic schedule, I think it makes them both stronger and more able to trust each other.
You cant help but love both Alex and Luke and find yourself hoping that the relationship works. I would recommend the book and looking forward to the next in the series.

I recommend reading the novella first to understand where Alex is coming from, but I really liked this book. She and Luke have different views on life, and have definitely had different life experiences, based on where and how they were raised, but the friends-to-lovers transition was a slow burn while not seeming slow at the same time. That sounds funny, but I was halfway through the book before I realized it and we were only scratching the surface of Alex and Luke’s relationship and I couldn’t stop reading!
This book does end in a cliffhanger, so I can’t wait to read the conclusion. Also, this novel was reminiscent of Nicole French’s Discreet, so I’d give this author a shot if you enjoyed that book. I know I’ll be back for more.

I quite enjoyed this book - it was so nice for Alex to meet Luke when she least expected it; she trusted herself with building a friendship first. She knew that she needed to get to know Luke better before she committed full on to a relationship, as she had to think about her son Mason. The friendship did indeed develop, it was nice to see him taking her feelings into consideration - he made her feel so good, she cried (too many times). She introduced Luke to Mason, and they hit it off wonderfully. Alex has a nasty ex-husband, Decker, I kept waiting for him to make her life miserable, really miserable - the memories were bad enough, but I think he's capable of doing some really rotten stuff to her. Thankfully she has Mason's grandparents to look after him, she needs time for herself and her love life, which has grown to LOVE!! They really are a nice couple.

I absolutely loved this one. This is about Alex getting another chance at a another start to a new life. She believed that she had finally found someone that she could have something with but she was so wrong . But then she goes to LA to see one of her new friends Anna and there she meets someone that specials her. Knocks the wind out of her so to speak. Luke ladies I want a Luke. There is just something about him that makes you want to swoon. I absolutely loved watching these two get together. Even long distance and over many months they worked hard at it and never gave up and what they wanted. It was instant chemistry for these two. You could easily see it. I absolutely loved the way that he was with Alex's son Mason. The fact that he wanted to not only protect her but him and be there for him. Yep swoon. This was such a well written storyline. With two amazing characters who have such great chemistry. The ending I will warn you does leave you wanting more. But overall love Alex and Luke.

Enjoyed reading Alex and Luke’s love story. Emotional read. Divorcee and single mother Alex have been through a lot and is not looking for a relationship until Luke sat across from her. Luke is an up and coming movie star who doesn’t have time for a relationship until he meets Alex. As they settle on a relationship insecurities, job obligations challenges their relationship. It’s a cliffhanger. Engaging. Recommend read

This was a great read. It was sweet, hot and kept me wanting more. Alex and Luke make a great couple. The side characters add depth to the story. This long distance romance had a few hiccups along the way. It was a getting to know each other story and a hot connection. Can they make it work? it was worth the read. It does end on a cliffhanger so I can't wait to read the next. I received it from booksprout and voluntarily left my review.

Alex and Luke are 2 characters you can't help but love. I really loved their story once I figured everything out. I feel like at the beginning I was struggling to understand who each character was and how they were connected. It was a bit random. The main characters' conversations are a bit wordy and somewhat unrealistic but I think it's necessary for the author to keep the story moving along. All in all, I did enjoy it but the cliffhanger kills me!

Until she meets Luke a hot swedish actor who makes Alexander Skarsgard look like a desperate wannabe. This story is hot steamy and add just a touch of humor. Luke and Alex are such an adorable couple! I really love how sweet Luke is and how their relationship progresses. I can't wait to read the sequel!! Having a long-distance relationship mustn't be easy, but I'm so glad to see that they make it even though there are surely some twists. I adore how Luke and Mason bonds. (swoon) Don't miss Hollywood Redemption!!
