Rate this book
It fall, y’all and it’s time for the annual It’s Fall Y’all Festival in Bramblett County Georgia!

And that’s a big deal!

The It’s Fall Y’all Festival is the biggest festival in the tri-county area, and everyone in Bramblett County is geared up for a great time!
Pumpkin carving, bobbing for apples, a petting zoo, and of course, a good old-fashioned BBQ are just a few of the events scheduled at Abernathy Farm.
But the big event, the one Lily Sprayberry is most excited about, is the haunted corn maze.
When bad things happen to scarecrows scattered throughout the maze, county residents run screaming, threatening the success of the festival. Determined to figure out what’s going on, Lily decides to check it out for herself and fears the corn maze just might actually be haunted.

The Scarecrow Snuff Out by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson is a Halloween novella based in the Lily Sprayberry Realtor series and was a fun little read for an afternoon.

Lily, Belle, Matthew and Dylan are attending Bramblett County's "It's Fall Y'all" Festival which includes a haunted corn maze at Abernathy Farm. However, this year is different as what is usually a "scary good time" turns into something that is more terrifying and creepy. Soon they are all on the hunt for who has turned wholesome family Halloween fun into a nightmare. Bonnie and Henrietta are back in this novella and I laughed so hard at them at the dunking booth. I want to meet these ladies and spend some time with them. An easy read to kick off the Halloween season.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. All of the above opinions are my own.

A great novella to keep the mystery with Lily and gang rolling! It's time for the annual Corn Maze event and someone is messing with things to ruin it for the entire town, Lily and gang need to figure out what is going on before someone gets seriously hurt or worse. Great characters, fun plot and great story telling keep the momentum rolling while the reader furiously turns pages to see what happens next. This is a fun cozy mystery and I suggest you start with book one to get the full enjoyment and entertainment the series has to offer!

Wow, what a wonderful Halloween novella! I got so excited when I downloaded my copy on release day, and put aside the book I was reading because I absolutely LOVE Lily Sprayberry and couldn't wait to get started! This was just delightful, full of Halloween ghoulish fun and excitement! Lily and Belle always seem to get into the strangest things! I just love haunted houses and corn mazes, and this adds a nice twist! I have to wonder, what will Lily and Belle get into next? Can't wait to see! Whether you've read the first two books in the Lily Sprayberry series, I definitely recommend this nice little shorty for Halloween. Of course, if you have NOT read the first two books in the Lily Sprayberry series, you SHOULD! Nice, fun read.

This was my first time reading this author. I chose this book for its Halloween theme not realizing it was from a series. I did not need to read previous books. It does make for good Halloween reading and, in my opinion, can be enjoyed by preteen and up.
I enjoyed the characters in this book. I felt very much at home with them. I admit I did get excited over the use of might could. I speak like that but rarely come across it in books, (or really in real life unless I’m talking with family). I enjoyed the slow paced build up on this mystery. At first it read like it was going to be a good time Halloween tale, (which it is), but then came the mystery solving and a pick up on the pacing.
If you are looking for a Halloween scare, then come spend some time lost in the corn maze.

Its October and whats better than a fun Halloween Novella? A Lily Sprayberry Realtor Mystery Novella, thats what! This is a stand alone Novella, but I highly recomend checking out the other two Books in this series, they are fantastic and fun!

This Novella surrounds the "Its Fall Y'all festival ", and Lilly is super excited about the haunted corn maze until some creepy things start happening. Lily starts investigating before the whole festival is ruined.

This southern cozy mystery novella is the perfect fun Halloween read! Highly recommend it!

The Scarecrow Snuff Out was a cute little novella. It’s Halloween and the gang decides to go to a corn maze. The owners of the maze usually set it up to be scary, terrifying and creepy. What’s supposed to be harmless fun turns out nerve racking for Lily and Belle. Bonnie’s grandson is with her, a little boy can’t find his father, pumpkin heads are rolling around with deer blood and everyone get uncomfortable and starts to leave. Who is causing the problems? Will Dylan and Matthew find and arrest the villains? Must read to find out!

A corn maze gone crazy!

This is a short story about one scary corn maze that is out of control. Lily and her friends just wanted to enjoy the local haunted corn maze in Bramblett County as had been the tradition as long as Lily could remember. But this year, a few attendees thought they had something to prove by hijacking the event into a terrifying experience for all.

This novella is easily read in one sitting and I will describe it as a “cozy thriller” for lack of a better description. A good read.

The Scarecrow Snuff Out (Lily Sprayberry Realtor #1.5), my third highly enjoyable read from author Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. Well-written & enjoyable, again reminiscent of the early writing of Karin Slaughter. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. I own 10 other books by her up next is Bidding War Break-In (Lily Sprayberry Realtor #4). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

It's the opening night of the haunted corn maize in Bramblett County.
A few of the patrons have decided to make the normally haunted maize into a maize of terror. Completely shutting down the maize and breaking a few laws in the process.
This is a short story. Although I usually don't read them, it was one of the better stories I have read.

A real enjoyable read with lots of laughs, smiles, shudders and just some good ole' fun. Once again we have Lily and Dylan joining with Belle and Matthew for a trip through the scarecrow maze on Halloween. The night turns into more than everyone expected because of some pranks that got a wee bit out of hand. An easy to read novella length story to fill a few hours.

A perfect title for a creepy and spooky story!!

The characters were amazing and it's always fun to read about what the old ladies are up to. I think they are my favorite characters.

The storyline was creepy with a bit of Comedy thrown in to break up the edge of my seat suspense!! It's a great short Halloween read and I highly recommend it!!

This was the perfect Halloween short story and things were getting seriously scary in the annual haunted corn maze. Was the legend finally turning real or was there someone trying to amp up the scare factor behind the usual classic type scares? A fun little novella with Lily, Belle and their sheriff’s department boyfriends doing the maze.

Short book with lots of action and scare crammed in. Great description because I was scared out of my wits while Lily and company walked through the haunted corn maze. I definitely won't be going into any corn mazes anytime soon.

I wasn't a fan of the first Lily Sprayberry book, as I loved Angela Panther so much it was hard for me to get used to somebody else.
Decided to try this one and I'm completely turned around. It's a nice novella, scary but I liked it a lot and read it all in one go! Need more!

Had me scared just reading it so I'm not going into any haunted houses this Halloween. I wish the author had said what the lesson was supposed to.
The book is well written, the characters are well developed.

Going through the corn maze turned out to be more than they expected when a group of people decided to make it much scarier but one of them went way too far but Dylan and Lily caught them in the end,

Interesting short story. I had a hard time trying to figure out who was who. The ending reason for the snuff out didn’t make much sense.
