A DR. SYFY. Novel (FMB.- 2)/Once A Marine Always A Marine/First to Fight/Last to Surrender

DR. has. penned the second novel about the men of the Space Marines who, at the beginning are in prison, (*When in prison the Marines first objective is to escape), and plans are in the finishing state for this Marine group to escape. The first problem is solved the minute they arrive. The second is the plan and the third is the action and it is paramount that they escape so Earth and it's colonists can be warned about the impending invasion of the Milky Way star cluster by aliens. They arrive home with a bounty on their heads and no one will listen to them except the Marine Commandant. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

The first book was a horror story. This one was a soap opera. The plot armor thickened, but the plot itself was telegraphic. I'm still waiting for the whole space marine images I was sold on. The book cover space battles have zero to do with the story. I got the omnibus, so I'll struggle through two more books, but my expectations are way low now. I'm not even sure if four books tells the whole story, or if I'll be strung along for ten more entries until I finally get to the finale. There's a good premise here, just less than desirable execution. I hope the next books will course correct.

Amazing as always

So this picks up right where the last one left off. And its a thrill ride from beginning to end. Can't wait to find the next one and see what happens with Quinn and his team.

Really good book

I think the action and characters are really first rate. The marines lead by Quinn and their group of friends and aquitenances. How do they stop the alien invasion. I look forward to the next book

Good writing, fun story

Lost a star for lacking character depth, but otherwise, it’s a fun action adventure book with good writing. I’d like to see the pacing pick up a bit too, but again, it’s good writing.

Want to see more Space Marine action!

I like these Space Fugitive Marine thrillers. But I want to see more military attraction by the whole team. The title of the series features Marines, so let's see them act as Marines!

Great characters always help plotting a good story. Some tension but resolution also, I think the pacing is good and look 👀 forward to the next book

After their escape from Oberon One our heroes come back to Earth to gather allies in their fight for survival of mankind.
As entertaining and funny as book 1. All I want from a good story: it interests me, it entertains me and I like the characters.
Til the next one

Good Story

Lots of action in this book. The characters are all interesting and fit into the plot well. The concept of an alien invasion isn't new but this is a good version of the theme.
