اگر کتاب‌های مرجع مذاکره که در دانشگاه تدریس می‌شود را خوانده باشید احتمالاً درباره‌ی این کتاب یک‌جور حس جزوه‌ی خلاصه‌نویسی‌شده را خواهید داشت. در واقع کتاب حرف جدید و متفاوتی ندارد و البته ادعایش را هم ندارد و بیش‌تر یک‌جور دفترچه‌ی راه‌نمای سریع برای مذاکره است.
ترجمه خوب و سرراست است و کتاب‌سازی برخلاف سایر آثار آریاناقلم آزاردهنده نیست.

اطلاعات کتاب زیاد عمیق نیست و صرفا اطلاعاتی سطحی ارائه می دهد. مذاکره فرآیندی پیچیده است و نباید از کتاب با این حجم کم توقع زیادی داشت.

You can treat this book as a vade mecum for negotiators. It is one of those books that has been written and structured in such a manner that you can quickly grab and make reference to features of effective negotiation, learn how to avoid conflict and build an alliance and understand how to deal with suppliers and multiparty discussions.

به طور کلی با کتابهایی که نصیحت وار صحبت می کنند و مخاطب خود را یک دانش آموز کلاس اول دبستانی فرض می کنند، نمی توانم ارتباط زیادی برقرار کنم

Broad generalities with over little detail.

I could not provide very many takeaways from this book. It provided general statements without specific examples on how to achieve it. I have taken negotiating classes and read many books on the subject. If you haven't read any other books on negotiating I would not read this one first. If you have read others I would think you are wasting your time reading this one.
