One word for this book? MASTERPIECE.

If you are looking to start reading about philosophy about prevalent and past challenges of muslims, this book will guide you with through with it, with history. Or if you want to start somewhere to read about Iqbal this book serve as the basics of Iqbal's philosophy. As the book is made easily understandable the complex concepts, equally good for people from all fields and ages.

I feel like I should write some details as to explain what it is about because Iqbal has been forgotten by our nation for like a very long time, and apart from few pieces of poetry that we read in textbooks. We do not know what his writings or philosophy was. What were his ideologies? What was the concepty behind Pakistan and Muslim state.

Flow of this books absolutely magnificient. Starting with Individual Khudi of a Muslim, the going towards societal and Collective Khudi of nation. What 'khudi' actually means in his infamous poetry 'khudi ko kar buland itna'. It then speaks about negative forces that destroy 'khudi' of a person. And how to strengthen your 'khudi'. and implement collectively as a society and nation.

This books also adequately explains the ideas of western philosophies with respect to Iqbalian Philosphy. It addresses causes of Decadence and downfall of Muslim as an ummah. And what needs to be done for revival. Discusses many difficult concepts of life with rather ease.

Has famous dialogue of Satan and God. This deals with in born nature of humans reagarding concept of Good and Evil. Deals with cocepts of time and space. How much role has 'Taqdeer and Kismet' in a our lives. What is life after death. And lastly on the concepts of Muslim State and Secularism in Iqbal's philosophy which might require further and deeper explanations.

I suggest you read it and note down certain points that need further clarification.

As he was labelled by many orthodox Clergy Mullahs as a deviated person. The works and words he had spoken are not really understood and explained to us. To avoid any conflict of thoughts. Given that even if you are not able to unable Iqbal's concept of Muslim State and Laws there is a lot more to learn from him.

Although his works should be read by all Muslims over the globe. But those who are Pakistani's especially do not justify their lives, without reading this book.

In the end I would like to credits to Dr. Javid Iqbal for such a beautiful piece of work and explanation summed up in Urdu "Afkaar e Iqbaal". And to Brig(R). Taimur Afzal Khan for translating it so well in English, making it available and handy for majority to read.

Will definitely read it again.
