Dark, spooky and emotional. This one was hard to put down. The characters are just so colorful and loveable/ hateable. I just adore the way Galenorn portrays mythical beings in modern settings. What an addictive series!

The first thing I have to say is that I really like this series and this author. But there are things I don't like in this book. I like the storyline and I like the characters. And here's what I don't like. There are so many repetitions in this book! Is it just me, or do these make the story so much longer than it had to be? Still all in all it's a series I wil continue with since I want to see where it's headed.

Ember goes through quite a few changes in this book, some of them are good, some it will remain to be seen. But through it all Ember has her friends by her, giving her support as she needs it, especially at the end.
The case the crew worked on was a bit crazy. I was glad that they figured things out, happier still when it seemed like Ember and Angel made a new friend. I think this new person will be an ally to the Wild Hunt Bunch, even if closer ties were turned down.
Ember and Herne's relationship was a bit of a roller coaster in this one, but it made sense. Herne faced a big change to his life, one that affected Ember as well as she is in his life. I think both of them dealt with things in a good way and was glad that both asked for a day to adjust to the changes.

I am really enjoying this series. I love the way that the characters are evolving. The writer is keeping the stories interesting. I’m looking forward to the next book to see where the author takes the character of Ember.

The Cruharach approaches and Ember tries to get ready for this event, a revelation rocks Herne’s world that could damage their relationship. In the middle of this, the Wild Hunt is approached by Raven, one of the Ante-Fae, to investigate the disappearance of her fiancé. As a bone-witch, Raven has been warned by the spirits that something is amiss. The Wild Hunt races across a trail of bones and blood as they try to figure the mystery that soon extends into several unsolved disappearances. A serial killer is targeting the Dark Fae and it is up to the Wild Hunt to stop the murder. But as they race toward the killer, a bombshell erupts that could lead to war between the fae courts and an ancient enemy.
Wow is all I can say after reading A SHADOW OF CROWS. The Wild Hunt is fast becoming one of my favorite series of this author. I can’t get enough of this series. Its full of some of the most amazing cast of characters that just are so unique and intriguing. I mean I never heard of the Ante-Fae until this series and am loving the introduction of Raven into the Wild Hunt series. This new story brings Ember even closer to the Cruharach and her relationship with Herne continues to evolve and get more solid as time goes on but trouble looms as the new case, they take on also introduces some issues that may break Ember and Herne apart. I love this author’s writing and in her new installment in the Wild Hunt series we see her trademark writing style in all its glory and the reader can’t help but enjoy all the fun this author throws at her characters. The story flows swift and there are a few twists I sure did not see coming. I liked the introduction of raven into the mix and think she will bring some amazing energy to the series as well intrigue me in hoping the author writes some books about this character. She is just that darn fun and amazing.
A SHADOW OF CROWS delivers a few twists that will leave you gasping for more especially as revelations come out that will rock the Wild Hunt as well as the Fae courts. Will the wild Hunt solve this new case? Can Ember and Herne survive the bombshells coming? All this and more are in this new book and the author does an amazing job in keeping the tension on slow boil throughout the story and add in a few sexy times with Ember and Herne well, there is enough to keep the reader glued to the pages tillthe very end. I liked the mystery of Raven’s missing fiancé and look forward to more diverse cases for the Wild Hunt to solve. If you enjoy a darker urban fantasy filled with fae, mythology and more then you will enjoy the Wild Hunt series. I can’t wait to see where the author goes next in book five, The Hallowed Hunt. Run-don’t walk-to grab this series and get ready for fun, adventure and lots of pure reading enjoyment.

So, a lot of things happen plotwise, and on the one hand, it does take up some of the plot threads from the earlier books. However, once again, the case itself has very little to do with most of what's going on. And while it does introduce a new character who I hope will be around for a while, there could have been other ways to do that. It also felt like there was really too much going on, and one of the subplots was deeply frustrating. It also was the first time where it felt like Ember's character wasn't consistent. I really wish the author would make up her mind if this is a series with an overarching plot that goes from one book to another or a case of the week mystery series because the books are suffering from trying to be both.
Still, there's a lot of solid worldbuilding here, and each book adds to it in new and interesting ways. And I'm definitely invested in the characters. Their all interesting people even if they sometimes act deeply frustrating. I'm invested in finding out what happens, even if I'm not enjoying the books as much as I want to. Three out of five stars.

This is book 4, and it would be advisable to read the exciting previous books first to get the background, backstories, and character development. There is a useful 'Cast of Characters' in the back but reading the books sequentially is best.
Ember, Herne (her lover), Yutani, and Viktor have an assignment from Cernunnos and Morganna to halt a ceremony to bring a powerful Fae warrior, Callan, back to life. They don’t succeed and Callan escapes into the world. They return to the Wild Hunt’s office to regroup with Angel and Talia. Raven BoneTalker, an Ante-Fae, comes in as a client whose fiance, Ulstair, a Dark Fae, has disappeared. Now Amber must accept the Autumn Stalkers Side of her; in a previous book she accepted the Leannan Sidhe side. There are several exciting adventures as many mysteries are solved, Ember and Herne are firmly committed to each other, Angel gets a boyfriend, Yutani finds out who his father is, and several secrets are revealed. At the end of the book, Amber is ready to face the Cruharach.

I listened to this book as opposed to reading it. While I liked that the narrator had different voices, her voice for Ember came across as whiny and weak.
I took a break from this series and Yasmine Galenorn because I wasn't enjoying the writing/series. I wanted to see if it was my frame of mind at the time I started reading Galenorn, but nope. While I like the world she's built with this series, there's a lot of filler. I don't care that Ember fed the cat and gave it water. I don't care that she wears a black pair of jeans with a purple sparkly corset top and a black jean jacket over it with black ankle boots. I don't care that they order pizza and sit there and eat it. So, for this too descriptive writing that adds nothing to the story, I'm going to pass on future Galenorn.

I put off reading this book because I was worried about the relationship issue between Ember and Herne. It's fine. An ex-lover of Herne's suddenly tells him that he has a daughter. This is a huge shock. The daughter is 60, but to fae she's only a teenager. What I don't understand is that Ember is 30, but she doesn't act like a teenager.
Herne is shocked and needs time to deal with this. He feels guilty for not being there for his daughter. He's desperately worried that Ember will give him an ultimatum or just flat out dump him. I really liked that his vulnerability was so clear. He asked Ember over and over again if she was ok, if she was going to dump him, and if she still loves him. It was really nice.
As usual, this book was well written and the plot moved along quickly.

Incredible character and world building.
A Shadow of Crows was interesting to read. It starts off with a bang when Herne learns things that could possibly ruin what he and Ember have. Not to mention a new case of a missing person.
Ember is still in limbo with all of the changes that are coming to her. and her grandfather is still trying to ruin her... literally.
There is alot of content in this book that is an interesting concept for a book and it is choreographed perfectly. The introduction of new characters was a perfectly planned. This series has to be read to understand how amazing it is.
I loved every moment in this book.

Wow is all I can say after reading A Shadow of Crows. The Wild Hunt is fast becoming one of my favorite series. In the middle of this we are introduced to a new character Raven, a bone-witch who is quickly becoming one of my favorite support characters in the series. I can't wait to see more of her in this series. I have already picked up the next in the series and expect it to be just as good as the rest!

The Wild Hunt has taken on the case of a missing person. Raven Bonetalker is an antifae who is missing her fiance.
The blood of Embers parents rise within her as she approaches Cruharach, the Second Puberty of the Fae (?) Ember is being stalked by her ex-boyfriend, and Herne discovers he is a father. Just enough stress for this group to handle. I would explode.
Yasmine's version of a Leanansidhe was an interesting take I hadn't seen before.

Absolutely fantastic!
I have read most of Yasmine Galenorn's books, but I think this series, and even this book, might be my favourite.
I love the characters. Ember is a fantastic heroine, but all of the others are real and vital and I want to know more. I have read this in 24 hours, more devoured than read really. I cannot recommend this highly enough. The best.

This book had me on the edge of my seat. Ember and her friends are in search of a missing Fae. And that's the easy task. Her lover, Herne, is going through a major personal situation and another friend finds out a bombshell. But the group is there for each other. I don't want to say anymore, or I'll give away too much, this is a must read. Ms. Galenorn hits it out of the park with this one.

Captivating
I loved this story. Once again Yasmine Galenorn has written a fantastic book. The characters were entertaining, I always love Ember. The storyline was enthralling, without any spoilers it was a lovely beginning and a fantastic end. Can't wait for the next one.

Loving the World of the Wild Hunt

Love Ember and her adventures!
So many good things to say about this book. The characters and story drew me in and I love how the mythology is incorporated throughout. It's just a great read and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Another Great Book
Yasmine Galenorn takes us deeper into Embers wild and dangerous world. Ember gets further involved with the Wild Hunt and it's incredible leader. Which also takes her farther into danger.

I loved the inclusion of the crows and The Morrigan in this book. I’m fascinated by her. Raven is very interesting as well. Yutani finally discovers who his father REALLY is in this book. Overall this book is jam packed with action and adventure. As well as some romance thrown in. I love it!

Once again the Wild Hunt is on a dangerous case & it's a wild ride. The team is expanding even if it's not officially and each member, old & new has something unique to offer. There's more going on than meets eye & all bets are off when the God's get involved.

Great read
I am still enjoying reading this series. The storyline keeps you reading more than a few chapters at a time. The personalities of the characters often make me laugh. I will be downloading the next book.

Fantastic read

This one was really enjoyable. I didn’t realize how big this series is but I’m invested now. I would enjoy more smut between mmc and fmc here but the storyline makes up for this. Half dark/light fae and a Demi god. Great combo.

Love the characters and their real-life struggles. And the action and pacing keep you on your toes. The steamy bits aren't bad either.
