Barlow was the second book in the Wicked Throttle MC series by Esther Schmidt. The storyline picked up exactly where Xerox left off.
Barlow was an MC member with a painful and mysterious past. Tracy was a DEA agent. Their story started in the previous book, Xerox. We knew immediately they were destined and the Wicked Throttle legend struck again.
Schmidt built the storyline around the relationship development while adding a suspenseful plot into the mix. It was light hearted, a quick read, enjoyable and entertaining. It’s a perfect read for those loving the alpha MC male, a strong woman, a little suspense, and don’t mind over the top writing. It was a great filler for in between dark themed books.
Schmidt also set the stage for Quinn’s story next while providing a teaser for Beecher in the near future. And please let there be a story for Blake, Tracy’s brother, maybe even a spin off series!

For some reason i am enjoying alot of this authors biker books lol. Rare for me. But this one was decent length with some steam.
We saw these two in the last book and barlow got hit with that legendary "love at first site" thing all these bikers are getting. And he is no different even if he has a terrible past. And whats wrong with this is Tracy is a Agent that works for the club and can ruin her job title to. So Barlow does act like a jerk at the beginning of him being release from jail. But he cant stay away from his woman and already ready to claim her as his own. As for Tracy shes also felt that spark and trying to figure out a case her brother is working on and dealing with her biker boo and his hot/cold emotions. Plus shes helping her brother on a serial killer case. Add Barlow finally making his move and that drama..
Also i love Tracy and her connection with the old ladies in the club:) their hen night of drinking and getting to know one another was fun :) wish we got more of that in MC books.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, drama, secondary charas, sexy times, no virgins (idk when he last had a woman)

When you finish esther’s newest book Barlow and absolutely love it,it had the perfect balance of hot sexy scenes banter plus enough action and some suspense to keep you hooked. Barlow was loyal sexy witty and a bit damaged but that's what made him hot as hell.
Tracy has a job that demands for her to be strong no matter what the situation was and sometimes that can take its toll so i loved the fact that we get to see a different side to her through out the book.
I loved the chemistry loyalty and determination both Barlow and Tracy had when it came to each other.
Ooh and wait till you all read the ending of this book damn esther certainly knows how to leave her readers begging for the next instalment of the series.

This series on insta-love because of a MC love legend is awesome. The big tough biker guys are hit hard and fall fast. It's like there is a little cupid following them and when the right girl crosses their path he shoots an arrow straight through the heart!
This one had the addition of a crime mystery and I really enjoyed that!! It kept me turning the pages. I loved that she was the smart one, she was the one putting the pieces together. In her words "He is my personal bodyguard" She was the brains and he was the muscle! And hot as sin muscles they were!! Don't get me wrong he was no dummy, he just let her do her thing and watched her shine.
Cannot wait for the next one! This one left me shaking my head asking What is going on?

What can I say? I don't like to say things that can be considered spoilers, because you know spoilers, so will choose my words wisely. Esther has delivered another hit story that leaves you wanting more. Her dedication, oh my heart, and the blurb are amazing. I fell like these characters are apart of my family and there are others, who I am hoping get their own story. Its a story of how people fall in love and no matter their history, they will come through in the end stronger, if they are supposed to.
Another cannot put it down read and you will not be disappointed.

Omg. i am speachless. What a book, what a writer. I have been waiting for this book for a while. And it did not let me down. I absolutley love MC books. soulmates and angels, but that is another story for Another day.
What I like about this series is about soulmates. That there is someone special out there just for you.
Barlow is a stubborn man who I did want to kick a few times. But the more i read about him I kind of understod where he came from. i would like one of thoose please,
Tracy. kickass woman who takes no names. She is fearless. ANd a rolemodel for all womankind. We need more of thoose woman. Girlpower and all that.
I am so tired of Reading about week female. Who just goes along with the man, no spine. You ge the gist.
So my take on this book is that everybody should read this, breath this and live this. It is a solid 5 star read. The good news is that this book is a part of a series so you get more books. It is a standalone but for your enjoyment read the other ones first for more backstory.

When a DEA agent falls for s man in a biker club with a horrible family history.
Their attraction is instant, it’s combustible. Barlow’s family his mother, and father were not parents, they were murdered with his younger sister. Barlow was only injured. He despises the FBI. Tracy is an FBI agent she is working with the biker club.
When she speaks to Barlow over the phone he literally takes her breath away.
She wants him, but her job may get in the way. I love that Tracy takes no prisoners and she and her brother share a home. To make this story even better their is a psycho on the lose. Killing people by ripping their throats out with his teeth.
I loved that bit of mystery and I immediately knew whom the killer was
This book had me on the edge I wanted to know what’s going to happen next

Oh Barlow ...I love a big strong alpha male with talented hands!! Yes he may be a biker but when he lays eyes on the sassy DEA agent Tracy he knows that she is "the one". It may look like they come from different worlds but they are so much more alike than anyone could imagine. She surprises him at every turn .Barlow may have met his match when it comes to Tracy. They are compatible in every way but the past has a way of rearing it's ugly head and they need to clear it to have a future together. So many outside forces that are causing havoc they will need to sort it all out to hopefully have their HEA !!!!
Loved them, they are so strong, sassy, and their witty banter and sexual chemistry is off the charts!

Wow this is a MC with a difference, I love the way this story includes all the guys. Barlow is hot and sexy and Tracy is a fierce DEA agent who when they talk on the phone it’s love something clicks between them. There love story unfolds as they are on the search for a serial killer. I read this book without putting it down I was so into the story I wanted more and more when the got to the end. It left me not wanting so much more and I can’t wait for Quill’s story.

Barlow is book two in the wicked throttle mc series. This story is short, fast paced and action packed. I devoured this book in one sitting and was hooked from start to end.
The chemistry between Barlow and Tracy was clear to see and I loved them as a couple. I loved how Tracy responded to Barlow’s past. She loved him and she didn’t care about his past or what his name used to be. I liked that Barlow finally realised that Tracy wasn’t going to leave him no matter what.
The action and danger in this story had me on the edge of my seat throughout. I really disliked Ronnie and his brother – Scott/trench.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series. I need Quill’s story now!

A great read! The continuing story line of the Wicked Throttle MC, is really strong and continues to grip and hold your attention and interest.
The characters are strong, idiotic and funny, in their views and actions.
He is worried about the curse, but not enough to not go after the girl. He goes all alpha male and she’s not interested, at first. He slowly wares her down.
Together they work it out and fall for each other.loved the whole story and series, Please keep up the work.. I cant wait for the next open to come out.

With the memories of his lost family put behind him but never forgotten, Barlow is given the task of being the contact person between the MC and the DEA, specifically Agent Tracey Neeson. He's quite attracted to the beautiful and smart agent, but he refuses to do anything about it because...the Legend! No, that thing about finding your one and only crap isn't going to fly with him. Nope..not until it hits him square in the chest and puts a strangle hold on his heart. Yea..he's taken. But being cold to her when he is released from jail for killing the drug kingpin who was going to kill the feisty agent isn't right and his Prez lets him know that real quick and orders him to go and apologize to her before anything else. And their story begins, and what a ride it is. Exciting, intriguing, romantic, funny with the quips between some of the characters and a mystery that comes to an end, all rolled up into a fantastic read that you will not put down until you reach the end.
Esther E. Schmidt always delivers a wonderfully written story that captures you and has you hanging on for dear life as you turn each page, and this book is no exception. It has a great story line that brings to light Barlow's past, brings closure to him and also brings the light of love from the woman who is meant to be his one and only. This author, Esther E. Schmidt doesn't fail to deliver another incredible, exciting and hot story to us, her readers and fans :)
This story I've been anticipating since reading the last one from the series when Barlow killed that disgusting disgrace of a human being, Nero and was arrested. The moment Tracy, who's an FBI agent bent down and whispered in his ears, he instantly calmed down, I knew that he was hit with the legend, that Tracy was his one and I wasn't mistaken!!
Now, the romance between these two could be seen as forbidden because well, Barlow is a biker and in a MC and Tracy is a FBI agent but don't worry, these two try to make themselves come to the conclusion that any relationship with each other will ruin some aspect of their lives', but that doesn't last long, especially in Tracy's case which is awesome because she's a badass heroine, determined to get her man at all costs and nothing is going to stand in her way, not even Barlow... He has demons from the past that make him feel that he will taint Tracy and that he's not good enough but our head-strong girl is stubborn and forces his eyes to the truth of them truly belonging together no matter the past, present or future... they're forever <3
Now, this story does have some interesting and unexpected surprises thrown at us, right, left and center and I was on the edge of my bed a few times but this was definitely worth more than 5 stars anywhere.
The chemistry and the sexy intensity of Barlow and Tracy was super freaking hot to read about because... well, I can't spoil it for you guys so you'll find out when this comes out but you'll definitely feel tingly ;)
You're such a tease to us, Esther E. Schmidt, the last two chapters were great but what really got me intrigued is the next story of this series with our beloved Quill and his mystery girl. I've got to admit I cried when something happened, something tragically and I don't know how this story will start when it does come out but I know our girl, Esther E. No one quite tells a story like Esther Schmidt. Her characters always reach out from the pages, grab the reader and worm their way into your heart. So much so that you’ll feel like you’re right there living and feeling the story with them. Nothing could be truer than with Barlow. He’s is such a lovable “Orc”.
Barlow was given the task of being the contact person between his MC and the DEA. This is not a good thing for several reasons. First off his past which no one, not even his MC brothers, know the full story or even his real name, and secondly would be his attraction to Tracey. From the first time her heard Agent Tracey Neeson voice the attraction began, let alone when she whispers in his ear about “any time”. Barlow feels the legends pull with Tracey but fights it (that would be the MC’s legend about instantly knowing when you find your one and only) or should I say he tries to fight it. But when danger threatens Tracey and her brother, katie bar the door. Barlow has lost enough in his life and he’s not about to lose any more. These two are a powerful force when the work together, in more ways than one “wink wink”.
Ms. Schmidt delivers another suspenseful and heartfelt storyline that is both intriguing and sexy. If you haven’t started the Wicked Throttle MC Series I highly recommend it. 2 Thumbs Up and OMG This reader is so anxious for Book 3 in the series…. It’s going to be a dandy…

If you love insta love MC reads then this author and this story is for you! Filled with mystery and action, passion and lust; this book was a joy to read. I loved Barlow and am listing him as a favorite. I just love aggressive and possessive MC men.
This is the story of Barlow and Tracy. Barlow is the typical alpha MC man; he is gruff, growls and is determined to make his woman see that he is the only man for her. He is slightly damaged (the best ones are) and he falls for Tracy fast and hard. I loved his passion towards her and his ability to protect her (even though she doesn’t necessarily need it). Tracy is strong willed and so very smart. I loved that she was not a door mat, that she held her own against Barlow and only did what she wanted. It is difficult at times to find a heroine who is strong and balanced.
Barlow is in the MC while Tracy is DEA, yes it does work, and I loved the dialogue between these two. What I loved most about this book, was the way these two characters bonded together, worked together and their ultimate kindle melting passion. I cannot get enough of this author’s characters. I like the different take on this story, both Barlow and Tracy are hunting a killer, and it was fun to read a different aspect of the MC men and the DEA interactions. This was such a fun read. I received and ARC and am leaving an honest review.

The single men of the Throttle MC are terrified of the legend, so much so one threatens to lock himself in his room to avoid it! Barlow fights what he already knows just from hearing her voice on the phone - the legend has found him. Tracy, a DEA agent we previously met, freely accepts that she is drawn to the biker, but after getting a rude brush off decides he's not interested. What follows is an action packed whodunnit with some racy moments. I really enjoyed this for a couple of reasons, the first being a very strong and likable female lead. Tracy is the beauty and Barlow is the brawn. The second is the suspenseful part of the story line, it's great when the mind is engaged in a story. Now to Barlow himself, I will admit that he had to grow on me. Seriously some of the idiotic things that came out of his mouth - I thought legend or no legend, no woman is going to put up with this attitude! It was really heartwarming to see Barlow be able to put a part of his past to rest. I also find it quite unique the way this group of men earn money for the club. With the way this one wrapped up we are all eagerly awaiting the next installment.

I fell hard for Barlow.
Barlow is sexy, an artist (yes, an MC guy artist). He gets involved with DEA agent Tracy when he shoots the bad guy to save her life. She's not just grateful but hot for him. He's just not gonna get involved with any woman especially a cop of any kind. Right. You know how it goes, the harder they fight it the harder they fall.
They do have steam together. They also have enemies. No player card to tell the bad guys from the good guys. The MC members are supposed to all be criminals. Yet, no one besides her brother has ever had her back like this.
The "curse" for the club has to do with them falling fast and hard for the right woman. Protesting is futile. Is Barlow going to fall under the curse?
I loved them together. The steam. The relationships with family and the club. The characters, all of them. Even the bad guys I loved to hate them. This is not one of the dark MC's but one where the guys have jobs yet still club rules that at least straddle the line of law and order. I strongly recommend this one.

Holy smokes what can I say about this book hmmm..... I absolutely loved it, Barlow has been caught by the love bug, no seriously legend has it that the men of Wicked Throttle MC know right away when they've found the"one", But I love how this story unfolds Barlow a biker and Tracy a DEA agent, you can't ask for anything better, this book has all the good stuff in it, banter between them, action , all the good sexiness, you get to know some of the other characters, Esther has a way with her words that just keep you coming back for more, when you start this book you'll have a very hard time putting it down.
Barlow might be a biker but when it comes to Tracy there is nothing he won't do, Tracy is a strong independent person , that's what draws me to this book two strong people who are very independent but care so deeply on each other ,also rely on one another. Absolutely loved the ending of this book, yeah baby can't wait for the next one😁😁 Barlow just might be my favorite biker yet well at least until the next book,😂😂😂

This picks up where Corban stops. Barlow's character is tough on the outside but like all the guys before he has a devastating background that just has your heart melting for him, it leaves him vulnerable. Tracy is strong and feisty, she has the sass needed to deal with Barlow and her DEA career. I loved this book as I seem to love all Esther's books, they are always interesting and different but also have some depth. Her writing style pulls you in from the first line and keeps you gripped to the last, there is just enough suspense and heat to have you both on edge and squirming in your seat, the flow is both steady and constant. Whenever I hear a new book is coming I wait impatiently for pre order and click as soon as it comes up, I then wait with anticipation and excitement for the book to arrive. I never doubt that it is worth the wait because never once have I been let down or disappointed, this one is no exception and I wait with baited breathe for the next book to come be it this series or one of her others. Awesome read just doesn't quite express how much I enjoyed it.

Another amazing book by Esther! First off I loved the dedication of the book and what Esther wrote it definitely summed up the book perfectly. Barlow first fell for Tracy(Peaches) just by hearing her voice over the phone and the same could be said for Tracy as well. I loved how their relationship started off and they took the time to get to know each other before rushing into anything physical, but once they did let me tell you it was HOT HOT. I did not want to put the book down once i started to read it. I loved the serial killer aspect of the book and how Barlow's past was part of it as well. Getting to know a little bit about Quill especially with how Barlow ended has me dying to get my hands on his book now and Beecher boy I cant wait to know more about his no touching rule!!! Also I loved Tracy's brother Blake and hope he gets a book as well!

Freaking loved it...
Barlow is a MC..Traci is a DEA agent..but when the curse hits you, what can you do?! Will these two find a way to merge their lives and quench their lust, or will it all burn and fail with one of them dead?!
Loved Traci and Barlow..watching him woo a woman without knowing that that is what he was doing..watching her realize that she knows his past and wants him anyway...it was awesome.
Loved the adrenaline rush about the serial killer..I wish this was the kind of book that delved into the story more..I had more questions about that swirling around in my head, but again, this isn’t that type of book ☺️
I loved this installment and can’t wait for Quill’s book. Seeing how he finds his woman and her secrets and finding the reason he paints with blood (Ew!) is going to be awesome..I just know it.

5 Short hot/sweet with just enough action stars . I would defiantly recommend this book to any one unlike some next in series stand alone books this book actually stands on it own without needing an information dump on past happenings. I really enjoyed the book as a whole I just wish it was longer.
DISCLAIMER: this is all in my opinion, Esther E. Schmidts work Is brilliant so I will always be guilty of wanting more.....needing more. If you're new to Esther E. Schmidt's work this would be the perfect book to start with if you didn't want to dive into a complex world. ( because this author has some awesome word building skills that show in some of her other books) this is the perfect book to give you a taste of what she can do and most likely will get you hooked!

The more I read from Esther E Schmidt, the more I love her stories! Barlow was so resistant to the Wicked Throttle curse of soulmates in the previous book. He came across as being scared of being tied down to one woman for life, etc. When it happened, when he met the one he knew it would be hard if not impossible to be with her. Tracy's job as a DEA agent would keep them apart. His background would destroy any attraction she may have felt for him. When he gets his act together and approaches her, the spark between them explodes and I couldn't put it down. These two, like the previous couples really are meant to be. You can see the meshing of their lives and the contentment they find with each other. Really sweet and sexy, quite addictive actually I'm off to read the next in the series!

Will Barlow accept that the legend has fallen upon him now? Will Tracy figure out who the killers are before it is to late?
LOVED these two! I loved how Tracy was determined to focus on the two of them and what matter most. Loved Barlow's protective side and how once he accepted what she meant to him, he automatically stepped up to the plate. Great read and cannot wait to see the other men get their stories!

Oh my word I loved this book. It was funny, sexy, steamy, and so much more.
I lol, in the beginning of the book. Barlow was freaking hilarious. And he was a bit hesitant, because how could he be falling for a DEA Agent. But when the curse hits you it hits you hard. And in their club it is legend and there was no escaping for him.
The chemistry between Tracy and Barlow was freaking hot and Tracy was her own badass, she could definitely hold her own.
I loved this story from the start and it kept me entertained right through. It had everything you would want in a MC story and some mystery added into the mix. I need more of this MC Series :-)

This was just as juicy as I thought it would be!
We meet these two characters in a previous novel so the build up wasn't understated. It is very strong.
Tracy is the gun wearing DEA agent. Barlow is in jail for saving her life.
When Barlow gets out he is kind of a butt. He plays the I'm not going to ruin her reputation card to get her to stay away from him. Which lasts all of two seconds. The pull is too strong.
Weird coincidence cases with even more suspicious activity going around, leave the two pulling their heads together.
I love this storyline. The reader gets a lot packed into this smaller novel.
