Masters of Stone and Steel

Rate this book
The dwarfs are a stoic and long-lived race. Their unbending will and pride serve them as fearsome warriors on the battlefield and the greatest craftsmen across the Old World. But cross them at your peril, as a dwarf grudge is never forgotten, a quest for revenge handed down from generation to generation until the debt is settled in blood - In this action-packed omnibus, the bravery and resilience of the dwarfs is brought to life as they wage war against the twisted powers of Chaos, vile skaven ratmen, brutal orcs, cunning goblins and their oldest adversaries, the mysterious and powerful elves. From the ancient dwarf holds, in the wake of the War of Vengeance to the killing fields of the Empire, battle will be fought in the name of Grungni, Grimnir and Valaya, and no foe shall forget the day they met these unbreakable warriors in battle.

This was a husband pick and I have to say I really enjoyed the story. I usually prefer character driven books, but this worked for me since we had a touch of romance and the plot was action-packed. Go hubby. 😘

If you love the Warhammer chronicles and dwarves, this omnibus is a must read. It has all the excitement and darkness of the Warhammer universe that you would expect. Character development is exceptional, and each story builds upon the existing lore. You can expect the stubborn pride of the dwarves, a wicked and cruel enemy, politics, wealth, action, and an unprecedented amount of lore.

Deeds of the Dawi

Awesome book. I always wanted to know about the final deeds of the dwarfs and some of the stories of them before the war of the beard. This has it all and even shows you how they started to fall apart after that Great War.

Tapes of a people whose time has come and gone

The book covers multiple stories if the dwarves of the Warhammer universe. Throughout you get a sense of the duty they uphold.

The war of vengeance is explained which was a solid read.

Overall the book is a fun read if you are a fan of dwarves, and duty.

Three books and a bunch of short stories about dwarfs in the Warhammer Fantasy setting. You really gotta like dwarfs being underground and stuff. I do, so I like it. But if you don't like little hairy dudes running around mines it probably ain't for you.

Dwarfs baby, don't ya love it?
