Hot Shot Dragons!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💋💋💋💋💋
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘📔
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: ☺️🥸😎😘

Aidan she’d already named “McSerious” yesterday, so she stuck to that.
Levi was “The Golden Viking.” Make that “The Happy Golden Viking,”she amended as he grinned and tipped his beer to her.
She already had a soft spot for Titus, who she thought of as “The Quiet Man.” Leaner than the others, his fathomless black eyes were a tad intimidating, but she got the impression that he didn’t miss anything. He ducked his head when she nodded his way.
Drake she mentally labeled “The Glowerer” because he sat the farthest away, even putting space between himself and the others at the table, and barely acknowledged her. Whatever the case, he was annoyingly gorgeous just like all of them, and his red-tinted eyes fascinated her.
The other two, Rivin and Keighan, she’d dubbed “The Trouble Twins.”

The heroine: Delaney Hamilton - she works for a vineyard and wakes up in the middle of a fire. It turns out this same thing has happened to her more than once. She was in a car accident four years ago and since then has epilepsy. It seems that whenever she has a seizure she blacks out and wakes up in the midst of a fire.

The Hero(es): Finn Conleth - he is the leader of the Huracán Enforcers, dragons from different clans that monitor the western half of North America. They watch for fires set by rogue dragons and work to put them out and to catch the rogue dragons. They are in charge of making sure the humans don’t have any proof of the existence of dragons.

The story: When Finn and his crew are called to help put out a dragon fire at a winery very near their own headquarters, they worry that a rogue dragon is nearby. What they find is Delaney attempting to put out the fire herself.

After getting more information on Delaney’s background, Finn is determined to protect the human even though she isn’t a possible dragon mate. Delaney has a dangerous stalker who has been harassing her for years. She moved across the country but the stalker seems to have followed her.

Finn has issues of his own. First and foremost is the fact that he is very attracted to Delaney, but he once had a possible mate who died in the mating process. Finn can’t go through that again and even just being intimate with a woman is difficult since he sees that woman’s death every time he is with another woman.

Finn also has a former teammate named Rune who went rogue and is fighting the establishment because of the mating system they have in place. Each time a possible mate is found (a human who has a mark on the back of her neck when she is near a dragon), the law forces them to bring the female to the mating council and the mating council decides who her mate will be.

Because of the fact that few possible mates are found and the mating council is often biased and gives the potential mates to high ranking dragons from the clans, there is little chance for many dragons to ever get mated. Also, the mating council is often wrong so many of the potential mates are killed in the mating process when the dragon breathes fire into them. If it is a true mate, she will turn into a dragon herself, if not she dies.

Rune and those following him are of the mind that if you find your mate, you should be able to take her as your mate and it should not be under the direction of any mating council. A lot of dragons are beginning to feel this way, and someone in Finn’s crew agrees and begins to help Rune.

Finn Conleth, enforcer dragon shifter leader, had his chance at finding his mate, but it ended in heartbreak and death. They chose wrong and he will never risk that mistake again.

Delaney Hamilton is on the run from her own flaming nightmares, but it seems even fleeing across the country isn’t far enough. When another mysterious fire erupts, Finn’s team is called in and things will begin to get a lot hotter as Delaney’s life is threatened by a dragon willing to risk her life to find his mate.

Meanwhile, Finn feels the heat of desire for the beautiful Delaney, but the only way to keep her safe is to ignore the fire between them until a larger threat looms on the horizon.

Hot, Very Hot passions ignite, as this scared, strong and feisty woman, who may or may not be a dragon shifter and this hard-nosed alpha dragon become engulfed in an inferno of lust…or is it the love Finn refuses to acknowledge?

THE BOSS by Abigail Owen has it all, heat, suspense, heat, an amazing team of dragon shifters, heat, humor, heat…and a tremendously talented author to pull it all together into an amazing escape from our reality and into hers!

So, thanks to Abigail Owen, I’ve found that dragon-shifter firefighters are as hot and alpha-sexy as or maybe even hotter and alpha-sexier than men-in-kilts….just saying…

Hey I'm starting to think that my kind of paranormal romance is about aliens (especially Rubi Dixon's) hehe, because I couldn't get into this book, I got very bored and of vampires or werewolves hmm like I don't get attention yet any series, and this one was of dragons shape-shifters but it didn't work for me.

DNF at 32% I know it's not much progress, but I wasn't enjoying it and besides it's a long book.

p.s. If anyone knows of any very very good paranormal series, the recommendation is welcome.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Boss was a great starter to the Fire's Edge series. In it, you will meet Delaney and Finn. Delaney has moved a couple of times trying to get away from her past.. yet it somehow always catches up to her. Then there's Finn who is a dragon shifter and the boss of a group of dragons. If you knew them, you'd think they are apart of a firefighter's department..but if you really knew them, you'd know they are dragons.

When Finn and Delaney meet, it's because of random fire. Now Delaney has black out moments where she doesn't know how she got some where but there always seems to be fire around. Enter Finn who yells at her for standing in the middle of a barn that's on fire..

From that first moment, I loved them together. However, both had a past that they had to overcome. They could only lean on each other to make their future better. Their chemistry and sexual tension was so freaking good as well. When they started to act on their feelings - damn, was it good.

The villain in this book was good because he was crazy and obsessive. I liked the little fight scene that I got as well - however, the ending was the best part. I need to know who the new villain is and why they are going after Delaney's coworker/boss Sera. I need the next book ASAP!

The Boss is the first story in Abigail Owen’s dragon shifter series, Fire’s Edge. It’s a smart and sexy story about Finn Conleth, leader of several dragon shifters from different European clans who’ve relocated to America. His mixed clan uses the cover of being smoke jumpers/wildfire firefighters to practice their fire-making skills in the immense California forests. They are responsible, putting out any fires they start and working with local fire authorities (who are unaware of their shifter nature) to combat any wildfires that threaten the population. Finn encounters a young woman, Delaney Hamilton, who is on the run from a stalker but also from a frightening experience that keeps happening to her: she finds herself blacking out and waking up in the middle of a fire. She’s managed to escape every time, but the more often it happens, the more she wonders if she is somehow responsible. Lucky for her, Finn might be the one man who can find out the answers and save her life.

I really enjoyed this unique story and found the plot device of having dragon shifters act as firefighters in their human form to be an excellent way to explain their presence. There’s some good worldbuilding, too, explaining the dragon shifter origins and how the clans work, as well as the mating rules. In this story, female mates are humans who have dragon shifter abilities though they don’t come out until they are exposed to a dragon shifter male. If a mistake is made and the wrong mate is chosen, the human female will be incinerated so there is no room for error. Finn already lost one woman that way, so he’s very leery of getting involved again, even though he is drawn to Delaney from the moment they meet.

Delaney has nothing to lose by confiding her crazy experiences to Finn since he’s the one who rescues her from the fire at her friend’s winery, her most recent hiding place. She knows her story sounds insane and that someone might think that she is an arsonist based on her proximity to recent unexplainable fires. When Finn finds out about Delaney’s stalker, he becomes protective; and keeping her in close proximity also means she’s bound to find out about the true nature of Finn and his crew. It turns out that the stalker after her has a specific agenda and there are some suspenseful, action filled scenes as the story plays out.

Not to be outdone by the rest of the story, the romance between Finn and Delaney is pretty steamy! There’s an element of mutual exhibitionism kink that heats things up as they fall for each other. Finn can have sex with a woman without mating with her, but the more he finds out about Delaney and she about him, the more difficult he finds it to keep her (figuratively if not literally) at arm’s length. There’s an exciting conclusion to the novel, and while this couple gets their happy ending, there’s a hint of more trouble to come to entice readers to pick up the next in series. The Boss is a fiery (in more ways than one), action packed, sometimes suspenseful and thoroughly entertaining paranormal romance.

2.9 'Zon; 2.4 GR. How dragon-shifters' bonds work makes no emotional or evolutionary sense!

I like the leads (though not everything they do), I generally like the rest of the team, and rogue Rune seems intriguing, too, but I'm NOT going to continue with this series for a couple reasons, mainly to do with the foundational rules of this world.

First, there's the way too many dragon shifters wind up horribly killing women they mistakenly think are their mates, as witnessed right in the prologue. As the story progresses, we find out that, worse yet, the Council decides who will be among the candidate dragons presented to the still-human "dragon mate", and they may decide to leave someone out for political reasons or for having broken rules; it makes no sense that that they would be allowed to carry on like that, with dragon mates being in such scarce supply, and failures being so damaging (leaving the woman dead, one male spiritually maimed, and presumably another male w/o his destined mate). Of course, the mate marks that usually identify women as being destined for and capable of being turned don't make much sense, anyway: they indicate which clan of dragons she's meant for, but then she, the candidates, and the Council have to rely on uncertain instinct to choose which one?! (Maybe the author wanted to avoid simplistic insta-mating, but this is NOT the way!) Yet despite his own post-tragedy trauma, Finn believes in following the established process, at least for others. I, OTOH, would like to hear more about what Rune believes, and evaluate whether his methods and morals are any better than the ruthlessness accepted to keep some order among bellicose dragons of the various kingdoms.

Female born-dragons (No, AutoCorrupt, I did NOT mean to say "high-ranking"! Good grief, how'd it even get that idea?) are "sterile", which sounds even more definitive than how in many werewolf universes females are unable to carry to term, given the need to shift. We're also told that no male dragon would be willing to raise another male's child, orphaned when a mated pair dies (since one can't live w/o the other), so most orphans wind up dead. Seriously? They sound like real winners, don't they?! I hate to believe it of the ones we've come to know. Seems to me that even living for hundreds of years, dragons would be deservedly extinct by now!

Another thing I didn't enjoy was the voyeuristic little "dirty fantasy" Finn and Delaney shared during the period after she finally convinced him to get past some of his psycho-emotional issues so they could be at least friends-with-benefits, and she had to adjust to the embarrassing/ titillating knowledge that they were having sex in close proximity to a team full of other dragon shifters with keen ears and noses. NOT sexy to me, I'm sorry.

The action/suspense plot had exciting moments (which I don't want to give spoilers of), but there are still some questions unresolved in the end. Apparently there was more than one dragon with stalker-y thoughts, or is Graff not really dead?! (We readers didn't see the body, but it sounded like the team did deal with it.) Why did Delaney not have a mate mark? Who's the mole for the rogue dragons? It looks like team-newbie Aidan and Delaney's single-mother friend/employer Sera are going to be the focus of a later book, so I won't count whatever's going on there as another loose end.

I just didn't find the good elements of this book enough to outweigh the basic problems for me. The writing was fine overall, though I did catch a handful or so of goofs: a missing word ("to"), "about" where the syntax required "that", a switch into and then back out of first-person pronouns in one of the stalker passages (which, if intentional, should've reversed the italicization, to indicate a thought, not mere narration), etc., but again, the style was not stellar enough to weigh in favor of reading more. Oh, well; you have to try new authors to find which ones are right for you. Sorry, Ms. Owen, but we're not a match.

The dragons in the Fire’s Edge series are firefighters. They handle fires that were started by dragons, getting in and out before being discovered for what they really are…dragons.

Abigail Owen has come up with a fresh, original take on shapeshifting dragons. I do love my dragons, so I am super excited to be reading the series and meeting each and every one.

Finn is in charge of training. He is The Boss. These dragons absorb fire. Fire is a living, breathing thing, but they are stronger.

Heading out to fight a fire, Finn rescues Delaney, picking her up and carrying her out of the burning barn…away from the fire that she started. The attraction was immediate and mutual, but Finn fought it, tooth and nail. He had lost his wife, Phoebe, when the mating process killed her. He had been so sure that she was the one, but he had been wrong. He wouldn’t be responsible for making another mistake and taking another life.

Delaney had moved from Vermont to get away from the fires, but they followed her to California. She felt the need to tell him. Tell him about the ‘blackouts, spontaneous fires and her stalker.’ Delaney and Finn both had losses that made them build walls, never wanting to suffer like that again. But, you know that saying, the heart wants what the heart wants…and it will not be denied.

Finn fights the attraction, but not Delaney. She actively pursues him, not taking no for an answer. I love her strong, feisty personality. Afraid, yes, but that doesn’t stop her from pursuing happiness. Hmmm…what’s that? I think I see another romance blooming, but I’m anticipating learning more about that later. I look forward to finding out if I am correct in that assumption.

Delaney does need protecting and Finn doesn’t have a problem with that. He explains to her that they are Enforcers, like our special forces and they would take care of her stalker. They don’t realize it, but there is something very special about Delaney.

Sera is her best friend and her boss. She is exactly what you would want in a friend. Open, honest, eager to help, not turning away in times of trouble. The characters are deep and well developed, sexy and strong, all with their own little quirks in their personalities, making them very interesting. The world is wild, magical, and I loved visiting it. I love visualizing them flying, soaring through the air, absorbing the fire into their bodies, and the battles…

I loved this unputdownable, exhiliarating, exciting, breathtaking romance filled with hot and sexy firefighting dragons and the women who love them.

What could be more hot and bothersome than dragon-shifters? None other than hot and bothersome firefighter dragon-shifters.
Come to mama.

description

These MEN (because they are MEN through and through) can come to my resue any day.
description

On second thought, maybe the fire isn't my only problem...
description

description

It was the year 2017, and I read all the possible Dragon-shifter books I was been able to get my hands on. Except, now it's 2018 and this beautiful gem falls into my lap. Just when I thought I read all and any possible plot or scenario and conflict that could ever be bestowed upon a dragon-shifter, I'm the pleasure of experiencing the fresh and revitalizing take that is, The Boss.

This was exciting and entertaining yet incredibly steamy. The push and pull between hero and heroine were addicting and compelling and I refused to stop until I got the ending I knew they'd have and deserved.

Plusssssssssssssssss, the dragon mate scene- you know the one, the one where he has to do something to make his girl his- was utterly perfect. I swoon for that shit. I live for it.

description

The authors take on dragons and their little society of shifters was intriguing and fresh. Here you've got clans of dragons that all have one thing in common (at the very least)-mates. And even though the term seems simple enough, it's all rather complicated and scary for the males of this shifter community.

Cause dragons never have it simple. As if it wasn't already a trying time for women in today's world, but if you've got the misfortune of falling for the wrong boy. Gurl, let's just say...

description

And leave it as such.

Super eager to continue to delve deeper into dragon politics and intrigue and read about Rune (who, I'm pretty sure was behind the last tidbit we got in the end...fingers crossed that's the next story!).

If you're looking for a new dragon romance book with just enough action to keep things entertaining (or nail-biting, depending on how you look at it) then this book is for you! A little fluff here. A little push and pull there. Some action is thrown into the bunch, with a dash of some steamy sexy times, and you've got a winner.

Dragon shifters that happen to be firefighters, jeez this book knows what I like!

This is a scorcher of a start to a new series.

Finn is a dragon shifter, his the top guy in his group of dragons. The group fight fires that are started by dragons.

Delaney is happy in her new start, when a minor disaster happens and another fire happens. This fire isn't good but it does bring her face to face with Finn and his group of firefighters.

I liked the sexual tension between Finn and Delaney. The relationship developed at a good pace and I grew to care about the pair of them and wanted them to have a happy ever after.

Danger, of course we have danger, there is the issue with mating the wrong partner - that doesn't end well, then there are there are the rogues that don't want to follow rules and the top brass dragons that rule over all the other dragons.

A must read for Dragon Shifter fans.

This is my first read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be looking out for more books in this series.

The Boss by Abigail Owen is book One in the Fire's Edge series. This is the story of Finn Conleth and Delaney Hamilton.
Abigail moves to escape the fires that seem start around her. But when in this new town it happens again. Finn and his team are firefighters but are also dragons. But Finn was once married and his wife died...which he blames himself. So he goes full force trying to fight his growing feelings for Abigail.

Great start to a new series! Love the premise of dragons being 'fire fighters' not only for dragon fire but to the human world, they also support the forest fire teams. Finn is there leader and he is growly and stubborn and very determined not to have his heart break again. He lost one mate and isn't interested in any more tries.

Delaney has had strange fires following her for awhile. When Finn's crew steps in to help at the winery where she works, sparks start to fly between these two. But there is a lot of politics and heartache preventing them fro being together.

Great intro to the whole team and the wonderful setting that the story takes place. Loved the secondary characters. Even the rogue who left the team seems to have more to him than meets the eye.

Looking forward to reading more about this Dragon world.

Intersting take on dragon shifters. I felt like some more of the background should have been explained a tad more. There was dragon fights and fire and alpha males just taking control. It was a good read overall. I would like to read the next to see which dragon would be next. There is a need for some more background info on the council and this king changing idea. The mate idea seems a tad archaic and not to the woman's favor.

Good read. Received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Finn is a dragon shifter and Boss of a Fire Team. Fire is detected that shows being set by a rogue dragon. Besides saving lives and property; this team must keep their race a secret from humans. Delaney is a women on the run from a stalker and the mysterious fires that are always igniting close by. Owen spent a lot of time on the characters and this Dragon Team and their struggles to find a mate. I just did not have the deep feelings for them that is always hoped for. Much action and the story moved along nicely. "A copy of this book was provided by Entangled Publishing, LLC via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

Holy Dragon Love!!! OMG!!! I'm literally at a loss right now because this was soooooo freakin good!!!!! Hold on....I need to pull myself together....(sigh)

What a debut for a series! You know those shifter books that unfortunately only have the shifter shifting once, maybe twice the entire book? Yeah, that's not this book. This is jam packed with shifting, drama, lust, love, humor...geez...everything a PNR should consist of. Did I mention DRAGONS??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Delaney has spent the last few years confused and running from a stalker. Why confused? Because every so often, she'll wake up in a random location surrounded by fire, not knowing how she got there. She actually thinks it's her stalker setting her up. But now after she's moved, again, she finds herself back in the same predicament. Only this time, there is a firefighter that she seems to trust for some reason. Someone she feels she can tell the truth of her past to. But why him? And why now?

Finn is the lead dragon to a special enforcer group tasked to basically keep rogue dragons from doing stupid things (I know, that was pretty bluntly described). Anyway, this enforcer group has a human cover of being hotspot firemen. So when a suspicious dragon caused fire at a winery appears on his radar, he finds himself saving a human woman. But he can tell that there's more than meets the eye. And since this involves his kind, it's his job to find out what it is.

I'm not even exaggerating when I say that I was turning these pages, non stop, not wanting to adult at all. The mystery of the fires, the stalker and the Delaney's true identity is so compelling that you almost forget you're reading a story. And then add in the fact that Finn has his own issues, but is trying his hardest to move forward. And these enforcers!!!!! LOVE THEM ALL!!! Even the ones that might be bad...but I digress.

The chemistry between Delaney and Finn is obviously hot. But the relationships Delaney builds with these enforcers is precious. And Delaney's friend! Oh my! Ok, I need to stop before I start giving the story away. Pick this up! You'll love it!!!

It has been a long time since I read a PNR that I truly enjoyed so I am glad to have come across this series.
Finn was deliciously alpha and protective. Delaney was a great female lead: strong and level headed.
There was no stupid moments or drama between the 2. The story was well balanced between action and romance.
The camaraderie between the guys was great and I loved how Delaney was quickly integrated in their group.

Next up!

There was so much about this book that I liked, it was hard to pinpoint what part I enjoyed the most. From the immediate suspense in the beginning to the smoldering heat between the two main characters, there was a lot going on that packed a punch. I have read many books featuring dragon shifters, and I think this will be my favorite series among them. I loved the interaction they had with regular humans, despite the dangers of putting themselves in harm's way, and while they were leery of letting anyone know what they are, they also recognized that a human's safety was sometimes more important than their secret. Their strength in character as a group was evident early on.

Finn Conleth has lived for centuries with the knowledge that he can never have a mate of his own. After his dragon's fire consumes his first mate during a mating ritual, he vows that he would not risk the same thing happening again. But when mysterious fires begin appearing in his territory, with Delaney Hamilton at the center of it, he realizes that it might be harder than ever to keep history from repeating itself. Delaney has been followed by fire for months now, not knowing if she is starting them and worried that it may be the work of a stalker. Meeting Finn turns her world upside down, and things only become stranger when he insists on protecting her. Now her life depends on trusting him - but is he really who he says he is, or is there more going on?

Both Finn and Delaney were fantastic characters! I loved the depth we got from them almost immediately, learning their backstories and seeing their POVs alternating throughout the book. I felt very in tune with what their fears, desires, goals, etc. were, and it made for a rich read. Finn couldn't help being attracted to Delaney, and she felt the same way, even though both felt they had excellent reasons to stay away from each other. I loved the slow burn of their romance, and the time it took between meeting and getting into bed together was perfect. It didn't feel too rushed, and it also made the chemistry between them all the hotter. Definitely an excellent example of a slow burn romance done right.

This was the first book I have read by Abigail Owen, and I am super eager to read more! I'm ecstatic that this is the first in a series, since that means I get more dragon shifters in my future.

The Boss (Fire's Edge #1) by Abigail Owen was a steamy, addicting, fast pace read that had me not only hooked but, I had me reading this book in one sitting!

My first read by this author and for this series, there is a prequel that I need to get my hands on. I was engrossed right away. I love dragons, and when I find a book about them, I snatch it up. This was quite the original fresh take and it really brought something different to the normal shifter world trops.

I will say that, as much as I love and devoured this books there were somethings that did bother me. In the beginning, not the proloud cause that was heartbreaking and I damn near cried, but the first chapter was a bit of a info dump and felt a little rushed and, all over the place. Now this did even out as the story went on, but for me that first little bit was, messy. Especially after that heart shattering opening. There were some pacing issues, but other then that, I was, am, fully on board with this series. Also there are some glimpse of what's to come and I can't wait!

Our MCs are great and very well developed. Both have hurt regarding to fire, and though Finn tries to push Delaney away, she's isn't having it. I loved that about her, and for her as a MC. She knew what she wanted and wasn't going to let Finn's past/ego get in her way. Right from the first time she's introduced, I knew I was going to like her. Well for one, she saved a cat, if that isn't a sign of someone's character I don't know what is (I'm a cat lover, so that maybe a little bais..lol). She loyal, smart, and has a big heart, despite all the mysterious things that happen to her.

Finn, oh Finn.. That opening set his character, not so much of how we met him again, but of what he could have been and what he could be again. It made me dismiss his stupid overprotectiveness, and snappness. It gave us that insight about him and why he's apprehensive about loving someone. Because what he went through was truly termatic, and I don't think anyone could really come back from something like that. Finn's character growth is big, and to see the change in him, made this story shine.

Overall, if you haven't guessed I give this book my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. This is a series to watch out for and one that you must read no matter if you like shifter, dragons, or drama. It's that good.

P.S. There dragons are also firefighters... hot, hot, hot!

Happy Reading

The Fire’s Edge series is off to a great start, not only was the prequel fantastic but the first book is as well. This fiery romance engages readers from the very first page and holds their attention throughout with bold, convincing characters that are easily connected to and their romance is sweet, full of sizzling chemistry and emotional turmoil that is quite different from other issues that couples may face. The decision to risk one’s heart after all is one that readers everywhere can relate Finn’s reasons for his reluctance to act on the sparks burning between him and Delany is an especially traumatic one and really the situation Delany finds herself in would traumatize most, so this couple is one that readers really want to get their happily ever after.

The fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of thrilling suspense, exciting between dragons and nail biting anticipation. The Mate and The Boss take place simultaneously, so the events that take place in the prequel affect the characters in this story, so readers get an overall picture of the political unrest that will upset the dragon world but since this story is longer and gives more detail of this fascinating world and of course readers are introduced more of the dragons that inhabit this world, the readers are better able to understand the world and some of the motivations of the characters. Once again, I was thrilled with the new world that has sexy dragon firefighters and unique mating elements that add danger, spice and tension to matings and makes for a fascinating read, so I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.

I gave it 3.5

With plenty of action and a nice pace, THE BOSS was a pleasant read.

A few things stuck out to me when I was done reading THE BOSS. I really enjoyed the authors take on the dragon shifters. I really enjoyed the job they perform and the way they work together. There was plenty of action in THE BOSS between the firefights and fighting the bad guys. The secondary characters brought a lot to the table and I want to know more about them.

A few things I didn't love. We were kinda thrown into things without a whole lot of background given. I would have liked to know more about the dragons and even Delaney. The romance between Delaney and Finn started off pretty fast, but I didn't necessarily FEEL their connection as fiercely as it was explained.

I would read more in this world and I wouldn't mind seeing the other dragons find their mates.

This had an interesting storyline and concept. Im not gonna lie i had to double check to make sure i had the first one in the series because the backstory it mates and the councils and the kings and clans. It feels very limited and i do like to have some backstory. All in all it was a good book and Finn and his team are a great bunch of characters. the double trouble twins are great for relief and then we have Delaney.

She is a pretty solid heroine. For all that is going down she has her crap together and it makes her a very likeable character.

Paranormal romance doesn't get much better than The Boss. A sexy shifter hero, a spunky, no-nonsense heroine, heart-clenching emotion, and world-building at its best. This story nearly set my Kindle on fire. Bring on the next book cause I can't wait!

Wait. What she's introducing ANOTHER unknown creepy multiple murderer at the end? Seriously?
Have to admit that the crew is entertaining enough that I am curious to see who will match up next.

Not too deep but entertaining. The characters stereotypical , the plot predictable , yet I enjoyed it . Sometimes that's all you need .
