Matoshri
Matoshri is a novel about Radhabai Barwe Bhat (Peshwa).
In reality, Peshwa is the government of Chhatrapati. But the Peshwas of Shrivardhan Bhatt family did such a feat on both the civil and military fronts that people gave them the crown, The Royal. This crown retained for 104 years by the Bhat family. The Peshwa was not the Emperor of Delhi but they were Chhatrapati's loyal and mighty servants.
Radhbai’s husband. Balaji Vishwanath Bhat(who was founder Chittapavan Koknasth Bramhin Peshwa family) assisted a young Maratha Emperor Chhatrapati Shahu, grandson of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, to consolidate his grip on a kingdom that had been racked by civil war and persistent attack by the Mughals under Aurangzeb.
Radhabai was wife of first Bhat family Peshwa Balaji Vishwanath, mother of mighty and undefeatable Peshwa Bajirao and grandmother of Nanasaheb Peshwa. She saw and witnessed the growth the Marathi empire from Attock (Now in Pakistan) to Rameshwaram by her family.
She had two sons and two daughters. To all these children, she had given knowledge of accountancy and military training. She was inborn talented and developed her independent impression in Marathi politics and Bhat family by skillful intelligence, responsible nature due to the various situations, good knowledge of politics and the diplomatic nature.
By her flute and cracking nature, children got a great ritual. From time to time, she helped Bajrirao and Chimajiappa, in politics too. She treated some troubling issues with thoughtful thinking. She enjoyed the home of success, popularity and wealth. After the successive death of her two mighty youths in the period of six months, Radhabai did not get the experience of a tired or drowsy experience. She had digested spectacular success of the Bhat family and she also digested the death of her both sons too!!

Awesome book tell about the story from 1st peshwa(Prime Minister) Balaji Vishwanath Bhat to upto 3rd Peshwa Vishvas Balaji from point of view of Radhabai Balaji Bhat who was the Wife of first Peshwa.
