A mate on the run… Frost ran the moment he saw the unthinkable happen—a man transformed into a dragon, and his boss disappeared into thin air. But it wasn’t the dragon that stuck in his mind, it was the man with the piercing blue eyes that captivated Frost’s attention. He hid away in an abandoned cabin, never imagining that he’d be found by the man he couldn’t stop thinking about and be pulled into a world he had no idea existed.
A dragon on the hunt… Gale’s ice dragon demanded he go north. Gale assumed the winter snow will satisfy his beast, but he found so much more hidden in his cabin.
An enemy still at large… Determined to keep his mate safe from Molpe, Gale and the other dragons accept help and information from an unlikely source. Unfortunately, their enemies will stop at nothing to capture what they desire most. **** This is a short, sweet romance with a HEA. It contains mpreg and is the second book in the Dragons Series. This book can be read as a standalone, but would be best read in series order
Jena began writing in January of 2013 as a New Year's Resolution--and so far she has stuck to it!
She lives in Michigan. By day she works as a web developer, and at night she writes. Born and raised on a farm, she spends most of her free time outdoors, playing in the garden, or riding her horses. She also helps run the family dairy farm.
Obviously, based on my rating this book was markedly better than book one. There are still some issues (stilted writing, character development that is better but can still be improved and a bit of a rushed ending) however the story wins out over all of that. The world the author has placed this story in is growing in diversity and complexity and I love it. The overall series story arc is fleshing out and I can't wait to see what happens next in the following books! If the author continues to improve in the next books like she did in this one then they will be full 4 star and maybe even 5 star worthy. She has shown thatshe definitely can spin and awesome yarn and I can't wait to read some more of her work.
To my ratings (thanks to amazon I had to change it again and 'upgrade' it a little bit):
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like 'Liberty' from Seth King, 'Save the kids' series from EM Leya or 'Jesse's Smile' from Angelique Jurd), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, but not really an often reread book
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
. . . É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . . Amei! Bjs. . . Boa Leitura 😘
The ice dragon, Gale, finds his mate, Frost, who is on the run from an evil siren, not to mention some of the things that he had accidentally seen from book one of the series. I like the way that the dragons and their human mates stick together and support each other as a family. The story progresses at a smooth and even pace with my mandatory happy ending. =) The background plot is also becoming even more compelling with each book. I'm excited to read Broderick's story next.
I liked this story but every time I read a new chapter, or even within the chapter, it seemed more time went by than what happened as they talked. I was so confused. Frost goes from just becoming pregnant to giving birth. The stories need to have more background and a more fluid time frame. But even with all that the basic story is good. I'll see about the next book if this improves.
Gale, the ice dragon finds his mate. Frost takes off after he witness something he shouldn’t and of all places to take cover is the cabin owned by Gale. Things start to get real with Molpe and her vampire helper.
Fue interesante el libro, pero sentí que repitió la misma estructura que Dragon's Fire. Es interesante que agregaran a los hombres lobo y ya en el final se sepa la pareja del próximo libro.
