This book provided an excellent overview of the CASPer test, including why it was created, its testing format, and how it's scored. It also uncovered patterns and common question types you will encounter when writing this test.

I’ve written the CASPer test once before, and the advice that was given consolidated a lot of my own assumptions and experiences. I highly recommend this book to anyone preparing for their CASPer test! Thank you Emerald (and her friends) for recommending I read it! :)

I particularly like how this book emphasized the importance of thinking like a professional and how we should conduct ourselves responsibly, ethically, and empathetically. It was made very clear that we shouldn’t study for the CASPer test for the sake of getting into our respective professional schools and forgetting about what we learned, but rather to start applying and thinking critically about complicated scenarios that we will (undoubtedly) encounter in our future practices. Already, I’ve already encountered some of these kinds of scenarios in my own life. Patient confidentiality, autonomy support, informed consent, conflict of interest — all really fascinating stuff!

A great and helpful read.

This book is purposefully written to make you feel as though you need to purchase their prep course and pay for their services. The answers are unrealistic and at one point in the book, it explicitly states not to seek help from peers because they aren't professionals like them. I only started to feel confident and ready for the CASPer test when I stopped using this book as a resource. Their strategies are ok, but I found strategies I preferred from other resources. Please don't waste your money on this book.

Helpful to give extra scenarios for CASPer practice. However, felt like I was being harassed to buy additional BeMo prep materials the whole time, and I feel like you could get by just as well using youtube videos (all of the tips they provided could be found online as well, anyways).

I had not really prepared for Casper test. I had watched a couple of videos. I used this book as a last-minute resource to familiarize myself with the types of questions and the scoring criteria and it did a fairly good job.

You can skip the first chapters about whether preparing for Casper makes sense or not, if you are in a rush.

Very helpful!! This book got me into the mindset of this exam and helped me score well, however the responses it gives to the scenarios are much too long and detailed for the timed exam. Oh… and there are quite a bit of typos!!

This was very fun to read—you would think a technical book about a controversial test wouldn't be—but it was instructive and showed one how to think.

Used to study for 2022/23 cycle, it gives great advice but I find the questions a little outdated now.

Helpful for the exam! TLDR: always discuss advantages and disadvantages in any scenario and consider all parties
