Ferdinand Roberts pees off his back porch. A lot. He does it in full view of his neighbor and former business partner, Harold Pittock. Has Ferdinand gone senile? No, his toilet is broken and plumbers cost money, and he hasn't got much, not any longer.
Harold's wife refuses to buy a word of it. Plumbers don't cost that much. Even if they did, what about Junior, that worthless son of his? Why doesn't he fix it for him? Or why can't he use a bucket and dump it out at night, when nobody will see him?
Things would be a lot better if his wife were still alive. She'd put a stop to that disgusting behavior. She'd rein him in.
Well, what about his children? Why aren't they paying closer any attention?
The argument went round and round, month after month . . . until the day Ferdinand Roberts died.
