I've read a few books with comparable messages about living in the present, being aware, and appreciative, but this book was unique. Sometimes in our lives we reach a point when everything just feels overwhelming. This is what this book is about. In this brilliant novel Joy Su educates us on the real significance of spirituality. She guides us through the acknowledgment of the ego show us how it destroys our lives. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for the real meaning of their lives and to anyone who is sick and tired of the usual thing. Imagining that your qualities are carved in stone, the unchanging mentality, establishes an importance to prove yourself. If you have only a specific quantity of intellect, a particular individuality, and a certain ethical nature -- well, then you'd better prove you have a strong dose of them. It basically wouldn't do to look or believe inadequate in these most simple traits.
The book discusses various aspects of human behavior, emotions, and self-acceptance. It emphasizes the idea that making mistakes is a natural part of life and that we should not fear being wrong or judged by others. Instead, it encourages self-acceptance and the importance of understanding that we are perfect souls experiencing life in a world of duality. The book also touches on the concept of seeking external validation and how it can lead to feelings of inadequacy and insecurity. It suggests that our true identity should not be dependent on others' opinions but should come from within, recognizing ourselves as part of the universal consciousness. Additionally, the importance of gratitude and the power of positive thinking are highlighted as ways to bring happiness, health, success, and abundance into one's life. Overall, the book offers insights into personal growth, self-awareness, and the pursuit of inner peace and happiness.

Ever since my youth I have read a multitude of what I regard as 'Self-Help' books: Al Koran's Bring out the Magic in your Mind, The Secret, Gregg Braden's The Divine Matrix. But it didn't seem to mater how many I digested, they each and every one of them in the main an expectation for the reader to merely wear the cliched 'Rose coloured spectacles'. Truth vs Illusion does not fall into this category. It is no less than a veritable cornucopia of philosophy and ideas that seem to coalesce into a grand tutorial on how to live a better life. But it, read it, absorb it, benefit from it.
Insightful, deep read … but not for the lazy, casual reader
Truth vs. Illusion is a deeply felt read - well, both the writing and reading seem deeply felt. A introspective look into the mind, the heart, the “soul”, the brain, the nature of both mental and physical feeling. This brings the discourse into thoughts of the ego, of meditation, pf the meaning of life itself. Not an easy read (parts feel like a near version of stream-of-consciousness”, but Joy Su has created a hearrfel meditation with words. Highly recommend for those who really think about ourselves.

What a creative summary of everything you’ve been hearing on the Law of Attraction if you haven’t been living under a rock for the past few years… an entertaining and informative analysis of words we hear all the time such as ‘positive thinking… positive vibes’ …and ‘manifesting’ yet never really quite get- but this book simplifies it … would highly recommend
Su’s book is well-researched & written. The section on brainwaves was particularly interesting… & I really enjoyed the inclusion of personal stories to emphasize key concepts (especially the one where the author talks about how she overcame her sleep problems.)
