4D Warfare: A Doctrine for a New Generation of Politics

Rate this book
4D A Doctrine for a New Generation of Politics is a revolutionary guide to applying the basic principles of military intelligence to social media, written by a proven master of the information space. In 4D Warfare, author Jack Posobiec explains how the social media narrative is established and how it is influenced over time by competing parties.

Through utilizing the concepts of effective information management, intelligence, deception, misdirection, and research explained in the book, those who understand and practice the principles of 4DW will be able to obtain and maintain social media superiority in an age of increasingly heated cultural war.

Jack Posobiec is a former U.S. Navy intelligence officer who deployed with the DIA to Guantanamo Bay and around the world with the Office of Naval Intelligence. He is one of the most effective right-wing activists on social media and is followed by hundreds of thousands of people on Facebook and Twitter. He is the author of Citizens for The Inside Story of People's Movement to Take Back America.

Snippets of good historical insight, some pure filler material, very little in the way of any actionable 4D warfare, and quite self-indulgent.

If you like Jack & what he stands for, you'll like the book, otherwise, avoid. Very close to three-star but not quite.

Introduction for people new to information sharing

I chose four stars because the book often left the main point. It was interesting, but the section on the Chinese Cultural Revolution was well done. The book would be useful for those that support President Trump and dismissed by most others.

I wanted to like this book a lot more than I did. There isn't a lot of information here, especially for the price. The book itself is in need of a stronger editor. My biggest concern is that the book does not know who its audience is. The book isn't trying to persuade its readers to join its side-- the author is clear that he is speaking to people already agreeing with him. However, the information provided is perfunctory and already well known to said audience. Since the introductory nature of the information is not useful to the targeted audience and the book isn't trying to educate or persuade neutral or antagonistic readers, it is unclear what this book wants to accomplish.

A great guide to information warfare

Written in accessible and concise English, 4D Warfare gives its readers a great understanding of how the social media wars are being waged today. Presented from the perspective of a Trump supporter, this work reveals how you can influence world affairs by changing and challenging narratives. Anyone who uses social media ought to read this.

Super short, sincere and impactful. Read it.

This is a fast read that Posobiec clearly pumped out fast with little editing.

Don’t let that rawness dissuade you.

This is an executive summary that hasn’t been highly edited. There is real value in that.

Great read! Only 100 pages. But, packed full of current events and strategies in the culture war.

Exceptionally accessible for the content area.

This is a very accessible introduction to what are really important ideas today.

It also shaped my view on Jack. It seems he's more in-line with me than I thought. Some subtle hints, but they're there.
