If a Pride and Prejudice/Bridget Jones’s Diary mash-up but with more sex, sexual tension, and sexy sex, sounds good to you, you've come to the right place!

It is truth universally acknowledged, that a single woman in possession of a dead-end job, shoebox studio apartment, and zany, intensely loyal friends, must be in want of a man.

But in my wildest dreams, I never expected that man to remember me selling overpriced KoolAid in my Rainbow Brite underpants when I was six years old. Life is unpredictable.

Fraser Drake was the least sexy boy when we were growing up: all elbows and knees and khaki pleats and debate club. But right now, in my mother's kitchen, he's never looked hotter, more irresistible. Granted, he's looking down on me as I expertly dance the sock hop scene from Grease. But behind those layers of haughty indifference, I detect the hint of lust.

He is everything I never knew I wanted. Since I met him, my feet haven't touched the ground and my smile hasn't left my face. His laugh is like a well-aged scotch, and I have a feeling I could get drunk on it.

*This is a STANDALONE romantic comedy, with a hell of a lot of heart, and a lot of heat. Complete with some loud LOLs and an even better HEA!

A sizzling enemies-to-lovers romance that will make you come undone!

I’m OBSESSED with Poppy Dunne’s books! And my love for her stories have only grown stronger (if that’s even possible) after reading Come Again!

I’m not a huge fan of British accents, but all I kept thinking while reading this book was “I HOPE IT RELEASES IN AUDIO!!!” cause, DAYUM….I need to hear Fraser Drake’s voice with my own ears!

And Emma…..OMG, I’m still laughing over her quirky and feisty personality! She mixes with Fraser like oil and water, which only makes their interactions together that much more memorable. Stick-up-his-you-know-where Fraser and kooky-to-her-core Emma are one of the most unique and diverse couples I’ve ever read. Their relationship together quickly transforms from hate to one of complete fascination. How two people who appear to be complete opposites seem to blend and compliment each other so well is a true testament to superb writing skills and an immensely remarkable imagination.

This unique tale of love, hurt, and change is the perfect twist on the classic love/hate relationship. The dynamic between Fraser and Emma radiates originality and heat, while maintaining a lovable and carefree romance that will leave you in a swoony pile of emotions.

My favorite Poppy Dunne book, hands down!!!

Emma sometimes has to coax her man into things, “you’re the hottest man I’ve ever seen.” Emma breathes these words into my mouth, as she leans down to kiss me again. My hands tighten their grip on her waist. “And you’re the biggest man I’ve ever been with. Really, really huge.” Fraser gives his woman compliments when she does something really fascinating, "...Fraser says something that sets all the hairs on the back of my neck rising. “That was the sexiest effing thing I’ve ever seen.” His voice is little more than a growl, his gaze molten." I really liked this book, I loved Fraser.

Absolutely loved this story. Poppy Dunne is a one click author for me. Hilarious dialogue, lovable characters and LOL situations. I adored Fraser and his stoic British ways. Emma is smart, funny and completely inappropriate. They are a perfect match ❤️

Definitely recommend if you're looking for a bust out laughing read.

Romantic comedies can be tough. In order to be funny, the characters have to be a little silly, or over the top...and this can make them hard to relate to. In order for the characters to be both relateable and feel like you are reading a romance, the humor and the romance have to work together.

This is a tough challenge, and one that Poppy Dunne masters very well. As always.

Fraser and Emma knew one another when they were younger. But, as happens when the geeky friend becomes the hot guy in the kitchen, she doesn't immediately recognize him. Although she immediately lusts after him.

Fraser feels the same way, he is bemused by Emma, and I think a little surprised that he is as attracted to her as he is, and this lets him see all of her quirks and amusing thought patterns as amusing rather than off putting.

Add in trust issues after a situation in Fraser's past, a lecherous boss, and a mother who is, well, not exactly supportive of Emma and her life choices and you have a couple of people who are both a little guarded. While the funny thoughts are Emma, they are also Emma's way of hiding behind the humor. Fraser sees her for who she is, and likes her, while forgetting that it is possible for Emma to see him, and like him, for who he is.

Watching Emma figure out she is lovable even if she isn't being funny and watching Fraser figure out that in order for someone to trust him, he has to be willing to trust them makes for a fun ride...and for one that is just a little deeper than you think it is going to be when you start the book.

Also, thanks Poppy. I snort laughed while drinking a margarita at the Fight Club reference.

I laughed and cried my way through this title. I enjoyed it, and I recommend it.

Yes, I have heard of Poppy Dunne, even have a few of her books on my Kindle app, I just had not gotten around to reading her yet. Let me tell you, I am now going back and reading all her books! Come Again was sweet and funny and just an overall great read!

Emma was such a great character. She was fun to be around, silly and just going about living her life. Even as her family seemed to be doing everything right, she just wanted to do her own thing. Fraser Drake was her older brother’s friend and someone Emma never really noticed. But she is noticing now.

Fraser went to live in London when he was younger. He is back and so very different than Emma remembers him. He is sexy, hot and very rich man. But he also seems guarded. The last thing he needs in life is the crazy that is Emma. Which made watching him fall for Emma all that much better.

Emma and Fraser could not be more opposite from each other if they tried. Which made every time they interacted hilarious. I loved these characters so much. Their banter and chemistry, even when they were bantering against each other was everything. Their pairing was definitely slow burning, but so worth watching them fall.

I had a lot of fun reading this book. It was funny, romantic and had some laugh out loud moments. I am so happy I found this author and look forward to reading more of her books!

It is truth universally acknowledged, that I can’t get enough of Poppy Dunne’s RomComs! They keep me off balance with her unique humor.
Emma is a off-beat, funny and quirky heroine who’s thoughts constantly go off on hilarious tangents.

“It’s like I finally found the clumsy, studly, perfect man to dance the naked mambo with. And the naked mambo is my favorite dance.”...
“He doesn’t see me as just a funny, dorky, kind of ridiculous person.”

Fraser Drake is the friend of Emma’s brother Justin. He is a bit of a stiff and staid, proper British gentlemen, the complete opposite in personality to Emma.

“Oh hoooo,” I say, articulate as always. “Come again?” he asks. I’ll never tire of how sexy he looks when he’s utterly confused by me.”

I just loved every character in this story. They all had so much personality and came to life right off the page. And all the Pride and Prejudice parallels were like treasures to discover as I read along!

Poppy Dunne has become one of my "go-to" authors. I can always count on her books to lift my spirits and touch my heart. Come Again is the story of Emma, who works for a publishing firm and Fraser, extremely well to do friend of Emma's older brother Justin. Emma was not a fan of Fraser when they were younger but now that Fraser has grown into a man, Emma has seen him through fresh eyes. Can these two learn to see "eye to eye"? Come Again deals with second chances but also the dynamics of being the middle child. It includes humor as well as angst. It has a little something for everyone.

Let me first say that I have found my new book boyfriend: Fraser Drake. He's not smooth, he's not your typical book hunk (but he does have the bod). He's a little a closed off because he's been hurt, and he's rocking the uptight prepschool turned man vibe...and I dig it. He was once a nerd and is now a man - a real man who isn't going to jerk a woman around. He's the perfect blend of Mr. Darcy & Mark Darcy (yes, insert swoon here). Just reading his thoughts about Emma gets you all tingly.

Okay, now that we have that out of the way (I think I firmly established how much I adore Fraser), I can talk about Dunne's story. The plot does a good job of recreating the tension we loved so much in Pride and Prejudice and Bridget Jones's Diary. The fresh take in this story is Emma and her perspective; she is what makes this mash-up feel fresh, fun, and quirky. Her blend of sexuality, sense of humor, and nonstop mental undressing of Fraser make you quickly realize what a perfect these two make; he is the yin to her yang.

Dunne manages to make you laugh, keep you engaged in all of her characters (even the ones who make you want to wring their neck at times..ahem...Delia), and gets you invested from the very first scene. In a world of thousands of book options, you must choose wisely because there is nothing worse than a DNF. This is a different type of DNF - Do Not Forget to read!!

Dunne has quickly been added to my go-to authors to read. I hope you love Fraser as much as me...but I call dibs!

One more great book by Poppy Dunne

What can I say ?? Poppy Dunne is THE master of Romantic Comedies.

Her characters as in each and every one of her books have a life of their own, she makes them real, interesting, romantic, funny, sexy, feisty.

I love her writing style, always making some comments about what is happening in the real world, smart I always add new words to my vocabulary that I’ve never heard of , funny, she writes both POV and the inner dialogs that Emma has are FABULOUS, she has become one of my favorite heroines, it would be so much fun to sit with her and chat while drinking coffee or even “wine from a box on a plastic cup”.

And Fraser….. oh sexy, uptight McDouchebag gentleman, with a British accent, he didn’t even know what or why it happened, but after seeing Emma after all those years apart, his life changed, ¿“Come Again “ ?

Thank you again Poppy Dunne for all the smiles, waking up the dog and my husband with my laughs, I hope I won’t be dreaming about Gorillas.

What happens when you pair a quirky, under-appreciated woman who has no filter and a sexy, proud Cambridge grade? Well, you get a hilarious, modern, Pride and Prejudice inspired romance that will keep a smile on your face and a warmth in your heart.

While I adored Emma in all her clumsy cuteness, it was Fraser who sold this story for me. He was this weird combination of both alpha and beta male and I loved him for it. Was he a stuffy, sometimes pretentious guy? Sure. Did I kind of want to punch him in his face for wanting to keep his past hidden from everyone, most especially Emma? Absolutely! However, there was just something refreshing about his mysterious vulnerability. It probably helped that he was such a stand-up guy when it really, really counted too.

This story was well-written, entertaining and sexy. I highly suggest it for people who may be wary of romantic comedies because they can sometimes be too much. This one was just the right amount of fun without being silly.

I liked it.

Were the Mc's perfect? No

The H was a stubborn ass but he makes up for it
The h was pretty cool, she didn't fall for the villain's lies, whose main intention was to break the couple up.

She was funny and it was cool the way she stood up to her mom.
The family dynamic was fleshed out and I really liked the secondary characters (her sister in law Charlotte: THE BEST)

The MC's knew each other since high school but he was never this gorgeous guy, he took some time to grow into his skinny body. She didn't find him very attractive and would not have dated him back then.

Each had relationships during their time of separation but H was NOT a manwhore and she was not a virgin !!!

Oh how I love Poppy Dunne's writing. This rom com was exactly what I needed to read right now. It was sweet, smart and oh so very funny. Poppy Dunne is a one click author for me and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Emma is by far one of my favorite female characters I've read. She's quirky. She's smart. She's funny as all get out. Her humor is her defense and that worked for her really well. This is a character I'd want to be friends with, someone I'd want to go grab a drink with and just have a good time.

Fraser was equally great. I admire authors who can get inside the male POV and I think Poppy did a wonderful job with that here. He's been hurt in the past and that colors his judgment for a bit, but haven't we all been there? He provides a great balance to Poppy and it just works.

The banter between these two had me in stitches. They have a fantastic chemistry between them as well and the banter just adds to that. I appreciated their connection and I loved watching them navigate their way through their relationship.

The secondary characters in this book enhance Emma and Fraser. They give us an understanding as to why Fraser and Emma became the people that they became. While I wanted to slap some of them at times, they truly served their purpose well.

The writing here was on point. It flowed so very well. The pacing worked and honestly, I just loved this plot. I just loved it.

This book was fabulous. It's my favorite from this author yet. It was laugh out loud funny and had me swooning and sighing. I loved this book and absolutely recommend it.

This was my first Poppy Dunne book, and it did not disappoint. Oh my gosh this book had me laughing nonstop! And I had a permanent smile on my face. Emma was so freaking witty and her inner ramblings were hilarious. The things she thought about and came up with had me shaking my head, but in a good way. I liked her sass and her good person quality. She was a hoot and I couldn't get enough of her. And then Fraser, oh my freaking heart. That man, oh that man was scrumptious. It didn't hurt that he had a British accent either. He was brooding and charming at the same time. A perfect calmness to Emma's crazy. These two were quite the pair. They complimented each other so well. Emma taught Fraser not to take everything so seriously. And in turn, Fraser taught Emma to be more honest. They were so good for each other in so many ways. These two had me laughing, swooning and smiling a whole lot, to the point that I wanted more after I was done reading. Come Again was the perfect mix of humor and hotness. It was definitely what I needed at just the right time. If British accented men and eccentric lovable heroines is up your alley, then Come Again is exactly for you.

Come Again is the best awkward comedy. Random nonsensical sayings, gorillas, and breasts make repeated appearances. As does an overbearing hag, also know as Mom. It's got the stoic British, a douchey American, and plenty of unfiltered lust. Wants not to enjoy!?!

Did I mention the awkward? I feel that mentioning it twice might help emphasise how potent that awkwardness can be. Come Again has only the coolest and most refined conversations....coughs, not. It brings levity and ridiculously entertaining situations to an otherwise boring day. I have a feeling you will Come Again.

they say opposites attract and it's so true with Emma and Fraser. Fraser left the last year of high to travel to London and now he's back and his changed some, but having Emma in his life , he isn't sure if he can handle her but he's drawn to her. Emma is fun, laid back girl and when Fraser was around as a kid she didn't want anything to do with him, but now she can't be around him enough.

It's always a little confusing when your internal monologue is put into print without you knowing.
Those ridiculous, cult-referencing, nonsensical-but-totally-sensical-to-me ramblings that plunder their way through my brainpan on a day to day basis are all here, just in somebody else's voice.
It's a little disturbing if I'm honest.
And awesome.
Definitely awesome.
I spent 90% of this cackling because yeah, Emma, yeah, that's what I'm totally thinking too.
Every indecent, early 2000s movie reference, childish as all fuck ponderance.
It's comforting to know I'm not the only one who thinks like this, especially when it comes in the form of a kickass lady package.
I lovvved Emma.
Yes, she's mildly ridiculous but she gets shit done, she's exactly who she is, and she's fucking hilarious.
I just wish Fraser had equalled her general awesomeness but I'm sorry to say, he was just too uptight for my liking.
I mean, I'm all for grumpy, brooding alpha-mallows as much as the next person. There's nothing quite like watching a heroine tear down all their defences and make the grumpy Sasquatches crack a smile.
But Fraser? Hmm. If someone could've removed the entire stick from his butt, not just a section, he would have been an A-class hero.
But alas, the stick is firmly rooted.
Shame, really.
But in the end, it didn't really affect my enjoyment of the story too much. Sometimes I don't need the hero to be my ideal male specimen. Sometimes I just need the heroine to hold all my attention.
And Emma certainly does.
Possibly because the woman is never quiet.
But I like that about her.

If you're into a gibberish-spewing, Miss Congeniality worshipping heroines, then Emma's your girl.
...
I think I found a new favourite author.

Ps. Why are all the mothers in fiction so terrible right now? I don't get it. Why are we hating on the maters these days?

Emma has a mouth on her and the thoughts that run through her head are downright hilarious and some thoughts I’ve had before. She is just going through life and working a job she’s not thrilled about mainly because the boss is a grade A smarmy jerk. During a family gathering with her vapid airhead sister, her always proper brother, totally not with us dad and a mother that would make any child run for therapy pronto she meets a friend of her brothers. When she finally realizes the hot stuffy stud is a blast from her past she realizes she can’t get him out of her head. They embark on a very bumpy yet crazy relationship.

Fraser is the epitome of stuffy or is it stodgy or is it just because he’s British? Regardless he likes his life neat and orderly and well a force like Emma doesn’t fit into his world. He’s hesitant at first but quickly learns his way around Emma. In more ways than one. Yet he refuses to open up about his past and when past and future collide he has some serious choices to make.

I’m going to admit at times Emma seemed a bit much. Her inner dialogue and even the stuff that came out of her mouth was a bit overboard but that’s who Emma is. The book still made me laugh often and just what I needed. Gavin the smarmy jerk made me want to Sparta kick his butt off a cliff. I loved all the secondary characters weaved in. I mean why can’t someone give me a bust of Eddie Redmaynes head? Also,Fraser and his blurting out the wrong things at crazy times made me laugh. Gorillas you need to read this book!!

What is it about a proper Brit that makes me want to lose my mind?

And trust me, Fraser will make you want to lose your mind. And I mean that in both a good and bad way. One minute you'll want to shake him. The next minute you will want to kiss him. He's mysterious, brooding, a little too stuffy for his own good, but somehow all the undeniable sexiness he possesses stays right at the front. He's irresistible, and oh so yummy.

Emma is fantastic! She's quirky, funny, a bit of a mess but with a good head on her shoulders. She's tough, awkward, and incredibly smart. I love all the parts of her personality. For all her crazy internal ramblings, she always manages to get to the heart of the issue at hand and never is at a loss for words while doing it.

Put them together, and Fraser and Emma couldn't be more different. Despite those differences, they also share plenty of similarities. They balance each other out and compliment one another. This story is full of fun and feels. Their journey is definitely an entertaining one, and once you add in the other secondary characters to the mix, you have a fantastic story that you can't put down. I highly recommend this book!

I can't stop fawning over the ending of Come Again! This a total reread for me! Come Again is a friends to lovers, romantic comedy that had me at Hottie McDouchebag. The main characters prove that opposites can attract.

Fraser Drake has returned to Los Angeles. Now that he's back Fraser reacquaints himself with best friend from middle school and finds himself rather smitten with his younger sister, Emma Brightman. The same younger sister who had infuriated him in the past, he now finds arousing. Talk about total opposites. Fraser a humorless, closed off android finds himself enchanted with Emma, who on the other hand, lets it all hang out.

The story had me smiling, laughing and throwing a few punches all while falling in love with Fraser and Emma. 5 Stars!

Poppy Dunne never disappoints & COME AGAIN is no exception.
This is yet again another incredible read in the uniqueness that is Poppy Dunne's style.
Her characters & storylines are just incredible & so believable that she'll have you hooked with her story telling right from the begin.
I loved Emma's quirky qualities & Fraser, well there were times I just wanted to kick him up the backside. But he is also one of the most loyal guys I've read in awhile too.
They just work together even though they are so opposite to each other. But as the saying goes.........opposites attract.
If you haven't yet one clicked this book then do it right now!
Congratulations on another awesome read Poppy
