How To Think: A Crash Course in Critical Thinking

Rate this book
We live in a world where people are spoon fed WHAT to think, but are seldom taught HOW to think. It is easier and far less demanding to be told what to think than to have to engage in the rational exercises of critical thinking and analysis. Nowhere is this more important than in the pursuit of truth. Anyone can give us a list of things that are supposedly true, but how do we know if they are actually true?

This book is, as the title suggests, a crash course in critical thinking aimed at equipping the reader with the necessary tools to engage and evaluate ideas in search of truth.

Critical Thinking Principles
Logic and Rational Arguments
Obstacles to Critical Thinking
Identifying Logical Fallacies
The content of this book may be challenging, but the reader will find it extremely rewarding. There is freedom in being able to differentiate between what is true and what is not. There is freedom in knowing the truth and being able to support it with sound reason. In the words of Jesus, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” (John 8:32)

El autor ofrece un panorama general de la lógica con ejemplos accesibles a quien se está iniciando en esta rama. Un excelente recurso para aprender a argumentar con bases sólidas.
