Great clinical approach to aromatherapy for childbirth. Really great information. I would have liked more specific recipes though versus types for formulating your own blend.

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. I was really excited to receive it because I’d like to use essential oils more in my life. The book speaks about essential oil’s for childbirth and beyond. Unlike other books that I’ve read that only taut the benefits this book does a great job of discussing the dangers of misusing essential oils. Each section is clearly laid out and has plenty of documented information throughout. Each chapter in the book discusses a part of pregnancy or childbirth, the most interesting of these for me was chapter 3 which discusses blends for labor. The last quarter of the book is full of resources and footnotes to help you on your journey.

Whether you’re new to essential oils or have been using them for a long time I suggest you read this book if you’d like to use them both with your infant or on yourself during pregnancy and labor. It is extremely well laid out, and easy to follow.
