I'm not sure where to start with this. So many many things wrong with, the MC's had little depth and lots of contrivance in the plot. what a waste of time.

It reads like a fanfic of.. I don't know what.

The writing, the plot, and characters were all bad.

With a strong editor, it could have been a very good read. ie the FMC spends at least five pages "shuffling papers" while having a conversation to "avoid looking into his eyes." FIVE pages!

If you're sensitive to high school-level writing, then this isn't the book for you.

Book Quote: "Somewhere across the water existed a child who... BELONGED to him"

The book is set in New Zealand, a country I have a soft corner for. While a majority of the books which are set in New Zealand try to include some scenic descriptions, this one was pretty businesslike.

This is the first line of the first chapter
“The discreet vibration of his cell interrupted Damon Smith’s stride as he jogged the hard-packed sand of his private island in New Zealand’s Hauraki Gulf.”

And I perk up thinking that Yes! Now the author’s going to describe the Hauraki Gulf and.... Just imagine my disappointment......in finding out the in the whole book, that’s the only mention of Hauraki Gulf.
As to the other places in New Zealand mentioned (Dunedin, Mount Eden and Auckland’s west coast), they might as well be just randomly picked out names from the map. :(

There is a brief sojourn to the Mediterranean island of Medinos, where most of the dramafest takes place.

I am very sceptical about books where the heroine runs and or hides her pregnancy from the hero and find it very difficult to justify such books. And I had the same scepticism for the heroine in this book as to what her reason for running would be and I found myself reluctantly accepting the convoluted tangled back story.

I really enjoyed the story of Zara and Damon. Zara has secrets that she is keeping from Damon and when he find out one of them can he forgive other secrets? Quick cute read. Loved the romance scenes between these two characters.

It wasn’t great and it wasn’t bad. A typical Harlequin book.

I always look forward to the Babies and Billionaires story of the month..This month the book drug by..yes I read it in one day but it just wasn't as good as others I have read. it could have been the setting..it was set in New Zealand so I think that turned me off from the beginning..than some of the words the author used went right over top of my head. I do hope if this author has more books I will be able to enjoy
