Now, she’s moved to Rivers End for good, and he and his six-year-old daughter, Sara, couldn’t be happier. Isaac knows what he wants. But he can’t seem to find the perfect moment to pop the question.

But how can she, when all she wants is to be a part of Isaac and Sara’s life?

Hey neighbour! I’m a lifelong fan of stories where everyone gets their happily-ever-after and have been a voracious reader of everything romance since I was tall enough to reach my mom’s bookshelf. I write small town romance with plenty of heart, humour and a dash of heat. Sometimes with a dash of magic, mystery or suspense.

C. J. Hunt has written a series of books set in Rivers End. Although there are different names for each series, the characters are shared throughout the stories. Most of the characters do not share today's typical stupid formula of not communicating when there's trouble or imagined trouble; instead are likable and realistic. All the books are well written, fast paced, interesting and have humor. Some of the books are clean; some have cursing or vulgar language; and/ have sex. Personally, I don't think the sex and vulgar language actually fit in with the sweetness and love that these romances share. I think the sexual tension is more important than what technique so-and-so used; plus written sex is boring. These are quickly read books and are perfect for a couple hours of relaxation.

The MacAllisters Series:
Silver Bells #1 - Heartwarming and fun, and a magical Christmas time frame. A well written, funny, interesting small town romance. There's plenty of sexual tension, but the story is clean and fast paced. The characters are interesting, realistic and didn't do stupid dialog or actions. This should be an entertaining small town series. 4*

Tipsy #2 - Picks up the same week as Silver Bells ends, on New Year's eve. Well written and interesting with humor and set at a fast pace, along with likable characters. I didn't care that there was a lack of communication instead of a different form of creating a problem between the main characters. I didn't care for the sex and bad language and think clean works better for this story. That aside I like the story and with the addition of Oona, how The MacAllisters is connected to A Touch of Magic. 4*

Reindeer Games #3 - This cover is too cute. This book starts on Christmas day, where Silver Bells ended. Well written and interesting with the truth about a bad brother from another book. The pace is fast and the characters are believable and there's a dark side to some of them. I didn't care for the vulgar language, but the storylines are good. 4*

Wedding Bells #4 - This book picks up in May and adds to the story of the main characters from Silver Bells. Well written, likable characters and a fast pace make this a quick read. There's a little bit of suspense concerning one character, but it adds to the other storylines. I didn't care for the vulgar language; find it out of place. 4*

The Witches of River Bend Series:
Merry #1 - We're still in Rivers End, but now there's a touch of magic in this story. This is a well written, funny and heartwarming romance set in a small town. The characters were interesting and had realistic dialog. The cousins are a lot of fun and give good gifts. I didn't care for the infrequent vulgar language, that started with mild cussing; it felt out of place in this type of story. Same with the explicit sex; it was awkward and boring, as is all written sex to me, boorrring. Sexual tension is so much more interesting. I did enjoy the magical potion and think it was a good mix of romance with witches. Since this is my third book by this author and first of the "touch of magic", I hope there's more. 4*

Oona #2 - Another well written romance concerning a witch, with a bakery, and an architect. Interesting and fast pace with likable characters, and lots of happenings. 4*

Everyone deserves a happy ending (an audio review)

I first visited Rivers End about a year ago, listening to Jenna and Isaac’s story. Recently I’ve picked up the series again and am bingeing on the audios. I was thrilled to see that this book is the culmination of this through-line and a happily ever after for my favorite couple. Isaac owns the Big River Lodge and runs it while caring for his daughter Sara. He’d been a single dad for almost as long as Sara had been alive, so when a guest arrived who knocked him for a loop, he was careful about giving up his heart and letting Jenna come close to Sara. Didn’t take long for him to fall in love and dream of making them a real family.

There are a few things holding him back, not the least his ex-wife Lauren. Just when he’s on the verge of asking Jenna to move in, Lauren turns up. To say she has ill intentions would be an understatement. I’m not always a fan of making a female character the complete villain in the story and there was some dimensionality to Lauren, but not much. She is a truly vile woman who doesn’t care who she hurt. Her indifference to Sara hurt my heart. I’m not a mother, but I like to believe most women love their children. That she’d left when Sara was infant was probably a good hint that the maternal gene passed her over.

This book is a chance to also catch up on other couples. Lucas and Shannon play a big role in this book. Shannon is Isaac’s younger sister and Lucas is Lauren’s brother. He’s a good guy, but wants nothing to do with his sister’s manipulations of those around him. We also see Jenna’s brother Eli and his girlfriend Ginger. Eli had his redemption in the last story and his gift to Jenna shows how much he’s grown as a man.

I love the town of Rivers End. I grew up in a town much like it and remember clearly how close-knit the community really was. I miss that sometimes, although having people always up in your business isn’t always great. But there are times when those close to you can rally around you. Isaac’s employee Teri and her son Max benefit from having those around them who care.

Suzanne T. Fortin narrated this book along with most of the other books in the series and she’s a great choice. This book is set in a small Canadian town and her lack of distinctive accent works well for these books. I’ve enjoyed my time with these characters and there are more books that I’ll be diving into.

All Jenny and Isaac want are to live with each other professing their undying fidelity to love one another which doesn't include Isaac's meddling ex-wife Lauren. Isaac was married to Lauren and had a child who he now looks after. Lauren, his wife at the time, ran off with his best friend 5 years ago, leaving her daughter Sara behind as well.

It was an unforgivable mistake, but when she comes back insinuating herself into his and her daughter's life, Jenny is forced to back off. So she decides to enlist the help of her brother Eli and his girlfriend Ginger, Shannon and Lucas, to help unpack her things and settle into her apartment. Waiting for Isaac to ask her to move in might never happen.

Isaac had every intention to ask Jenny to move in with him and Sara, in fact, he never wanted to see her apart but when she was forced to back off because of Lauren, she found perspective. It would mean more to Jenny to be married instead. She needed a strong and more definite agreement on Isaac's part. She already loved him and Sara to pieces and needed to be sure it is what Isaac wanted, wrapped up in a pretty bow with a ring on her finger. They got married on Christmas Eve.

FYI, I don't think Christmas is a good time to be married. IMO it doesn't make it any more special if that's what the allure is about.

Love these Holiday themed books in small towns with romance and some drama thrown in. This book takes place in the same small town as all the others in Rivers End and is a follow up to Jenna and Isaac's story from a previous book titled Silver Bells. For anyone not having read the other 3 books this book let's you get to know the other characters from the previous books but it dose give away things so if you like to read books in order I would start with first book in the series.

Isaac has a six year old daughter Sarah who is cute and precocious. Isaac runs the local Big River Lodge all while raising his daughter after his wife left 5 years ago Isaac thinks that it's time to move forward with his and Jenna relationship but just as hes read to move forward trouble comes back to town his ex Lauran has just come back and she will bring plenty of drama and heartache with her. Jenna has had to deal with some major disappointments from her childhood and her brothers antics as well she's now a grown women with a thriving business and she thinks she's found Mr. Wright in Isaac but know that's up in the air now with Lauran back in town Jenna can either make a stand or move on from Isaac and his little girl. I dont want to reveal anymore it would spoil the book for anyone else.

Seeing the HEA that Jenna deserves was better than I was expecting. I also misinterpreted something, in my excitement, I thought it was Jenna's ex that came back but it was Sara's mother. Ugh! I barely could stand that woman.

The characters were known to me since I've read Silver Bells in the past, which is the beginning of Jenna and Issac story. It was great to see them again though and I had fun.

The story flowed without a hitch. From beginning to end it was one beautiful story with some, not some pleasant people showing up, but when they went away all was good again.

I can't get into detail because I feel like I would let some spoiler slip and that's not good. What I will say is that you can read this book even if you haven't read the previous ones, but for your better enjoyment I recommend you do read them before.

I always picked CJ Hunt's stories because they make me feel the happiness of the couples and the growth of the relationships like I was watching a great movie.

I'm so happy that Jenna and Issac now are where they were supposed to be. Sure, more problems could come up later but they'll face them together.

🎀Happy finish to wrap up a cute, romantic set of ❄⛄ holiday novellas😊
May 18, 2019
Format: Kindle Edition
👍💕👪
Cute, quick novella with mild heat and a nice touch of adversity mixed with frustration leading to the Wedding Bells of the title. I was not expecting a return romance for hotelier Isaac and his web designing girlfriend Jenna after they ended starry-eyed and a couple in Silver Bells, the first book in this novella series, but their new troubles and efforts to resolve them made for a good, enjoyable story. A persistent blast from Isaac's past causes headaches when he thought only lovely romance and blue skies were in the forecast. The story's short format did not leave me worrying about the setbacks for too long and the ending happy union is short but sweet. Little Sara, Isaac's six-year-old, has been an important character throughout the series and remains as precious and bubbly as ever😇.

This and the other three preceding stories left me with a happy sigh. Nice!😊

I read a complimentary copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

I would suggest reading Silver Bells, the first book in the series before reading this. That book is the beginning of Issac & Jennas story. If you like reading a whole series that is up to you however you can still be abreast of what's been happening without doing so.

More dramas for poor Issac with his ex appearing out of nowhere putting a wedge between him & Jenna. Jenna's business is keeping her busy & her mind off all her problems. One can only hope they sort it out as this couple make a wonderful family with Sara. The other characters & family are a good mix & appear regularly in the tale.

The books in this series aren't particularly long but they cover enough to keep you interested. It reminds me a bit of the older style romances leaving you with that warm & happy feeling after reading them.

Jenna and Issac are happy together along with his daughter Sara that is until his ex wife Laura returns after five years and wants to get back together. Laura left Issac for his best friend Brad but now she tells him they are actually still married and is not leaving. He tries to get along with her so she will sign the divorce papers he now has prepared and to make things worse he wanted to ask Jenna to move in him and she has told him when he gets his life in order to call her. He finally gets Laura and Brad back together and she signed to divorce papers but when he ask Jenna to move with him she turned him down telling him she is tired waiting on men to be sure of what they want. He knows he has made a terrible mistake by asking her to move in when he really wanted to ask her to marry him. Can Issac and Sara convince Jenna to marry them?

usually when you are dating and very young, your main concerns are how relationships affect you - maybe your family or relative position in a community.

but as we age, we tend to have homes, businesses, children - and bruises that are the ghosts of relationships past.

trust and commitment become issues for those who want greater signs of investment are those who have suffered at the hands of past relationships gone awry

can Isaac and Jenna show each other they are all-in, or will their love fall apart for lack of faith, or lack of signs of their devotion to each other and their relationship/family?

complicated love can still be fun to read about when someone else has to live with their drama, and you just get to watch

Wow. What a way to wrap up the MacAllisters. There’s drama and angst, but plenty of fun and silliness too. Just when everything looks like it’s all finally going to work out the way they want it, Sara’s mother shows up after five years, bringing chaos in her wake. What will it take for Jenna and Isaac to get the happy ever after they’ve been dreaming about? I still love Isaac in this book, but he falls from Perfect Book Boyfriend to mere mortal for some of his behavior here. I adored watching Jenna as she focused on what she wanted and needed in her life. That’s a lesson more of us woman should probably learn. The ending is perfectly adorable and I hope we get to see more of the MacAllisters in future stories.

Wedding Bells is the follow up to the wonderful Silver Bells and part of the MacAllisters of River's End Series. Will Jenna and Isaac get their HEA or will unexpected circumstances and misunderstandings get in the way? Despite everything else Sara and Hope bring joy and laughter and a touch of sparkle. This is a lovely return to River's End and a chance to catch up with the main characters from the other great books in this series. I definitely recommend this book and the entire series ..get this book and enjoy small town life.

Jenna came to Rivers End a few months ago to meet up with her brother and stayed, deeply in love with Isaac McAllister and his daughter.
Trouble comes in the form of his ex, who after 5 years of absence returns to claim her husband and daughter.
Isaac had been deeply hurt by his ex and has trust issues. Whenever he wants to take the next step with Jenna, something makes him back down.
Finding their Happily Ever After is not easy.
A nice, clean story with a catching plot, an enjoyable story

Rivers End…. I must say this is another fictional small town that I either want to visit or live. This author has created a beautiful world full of believable characters with true to life problems. Jenna, Isaac and Sara have been living a happy life together until Isaac's ex comes to town to cause trouble. This is an emotional story full of heartache, drama, love, passion and so much more. I definitely recommend you read the first three books in this series to get the full Rivers End story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This story is a sweet little treat. Jenna and Isaac’s journey towards the altar comes with a few speed bumps and misunderstandings. When his ex shows up to cause trouble, Isaac is a little slow to clear things up, and to make his intentions known to Jenna. Read this fast-paced, funny and entertaining book to see how this couple achieves their happily ever after.

I love the Rivers End characters and this story is no exception. You'll come away with a smile, a warm feeling that makes you go aawwweee. It's the perfect quick weekend read. Jenna, Isaac, Sara, and Hope are such sweet characters, too bad Rivers End isn't a real place. I'd move in a heartbeat. You'll definitely want to add this book to your "must read" list. Great story as always C.J. Hunt, thanks!

This is exciting, heartwarming, heartbreaking, suspenseful, fun and so many more things. She has moved there to be with him. He moving forward after a divorce with her. But things get complicated when his ex comes back to town. I highly recommend reading the others before this one and then this one in order. I really enjoyed them all. She has a way of grabbing you and taking you to a good place. I was given a review copy on booksprout and voluntarily review it.

Jenna, Isaac, and Sara made the perfect family unit. All that was missing was that Jenna didnt actually live there. But Isaac had finally decided that he would change that as soon as he had her alone later. Then the knock on the door changed everything!
This was a delightful conclusion to Silver Bells and I think it is worth the time to read it.
