Remington Kane is an American author that writes action-packed thrillers. The author might be unfamiliar to some people because Remington Kane is actually a pseudonym for Donald Wells.

Donald Wells has garnered a reputation for writing darker and somewhat serious novels about killers. The author was born in New Jersey. He never really left and has since made a home there. Like most of his peers, Donald Wells was an avid reader as a child.

He spent many an hour devouring every book he came across. And it wasn’t long before he began to yearn for the chance to write. Like many aspiring authors, Donald Wells knew he had the capacity to tell stories. However, he was a little hesitant to venture into such uncharted waters, not only because he didn’t know where to start with regards to writing a book but also because he didn’t have confidence in his own ability to produce compelling fiction.

Again, like most notable authors, Donald meandered about for a while. Rather than going into publishing the first chance he got, Donald tried his hand at various odd jobs. He worked as an insurance salesman, a Real Estate Sales person, and even a Retail manager.

The jobs, though seemingly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, did wonders for the author’s writing capabilities. Whether he was driving trucks or cleaning floors, Donald gained insight into the workings of the world.

He met unexpected people and heard their intriguing stories. He came across numerous strange encounters and even participated in some of them. He essentially dipped into so many unique aspects of life that it came as no surprise that he had more than enough stories rattling around his head when it finally came time to write his first novel.

Not that many authors can claim to have been offered a chance to act as bodyguard to a drug dealer. Since getting his first book sold, though, Donald has finally settled in his career. The author loves writing novels and there is nothing he else he would rather be doing. The fact that he has found a way to make money out of his passion makes him one of the luckier individuals in the world.

By the time Donald Wells began writing as Remington Kane, he had already become established as a novelist with numerous thrillers under his name. However, writing as Remington practically took over his life.

This is because Donald has achieved more success writing as Remington Kane than he did producing novels under his real name. Kane is best known for the Tanner series of novels. Tanner is a hit man who accepts a job to take out a mob boss.

When he is betrayed and thrown into prison, Tanner thinks of little else besides getting revenge. And once he finally gets his freedom, the hit man becomes a one man army, engaging in a brutal way against a crime organization known as the Conglomerate.

Each new book sees Tanner raising the stakes by finding a new target that will sting the Conglomerate in ways they couldn’t possibly fathom.

Remington Kane has been praised for the Tanner novels because Tanner is such a refreshing hero. The protagonist is so average physically, devoid of the exaggerated traits that most action heroes seem to bear. If not for his natural fighting and survival instincts, one would be hard pressed to tell Tanner apart from any other ordinary man on the street.

Two for the Kill
A Tanner Novel, Book 8
By: Remington Kane
Narrated by: Daniel Dorse
Tanner lets Sammie go with him to revenge his dad's death. There is other things going on in the town too. The two Arkansas brothers also find two women living in their home. That's a story in itself! Lol!
I wish the narration was a bit better.

Even though I am a fan of continuing characters and I really don't like continuing stories, this series has me hooked for now. It's a no brainer series with lots of action. Reminds me so much of the pulp novels of the late 70's and early 80's. Sex, high body count, and major characters that continually dance between the raindrops.

Just Awesome

Sometimes bad things happen to good people and sometimes good things happen as well. I love that the writer is giving us a more human look at the characters in this series and you not only really like them but you love them as well. The group get too not only experience love but they get to experience somewhat a healing. We see that Tanner is a little more human,as he is just a little vulnerable and its welcomed. Its all love for Merle and Earle and that is the kind of romantic comedy you need to break up the serious of the story. The writing as always is spot on and the action is a nail bitter. I will say again pick up this series and get lost in this series.

Two For The Kill: Book 8

Great book!! This is an interesting book because it contains present actions and at the same time into the past and how Tanner and Joe Pullo met. Then there is Sammy Giacconi. Sammy was introduced in book 7 and his character develops in book 8. And Merle and Earl are a treat to read about their ongoing lives. This is a really fun book with a lot happening and another page Turner at that!

'Two For The Kill' was another great addition to an awesome series. So much happened in this book, I don't know where to start. I liked that Merle and Earl finally got a break, of sorts. Tanner and Sammy wreak havoc where it's definitely deserved. Loved it. I can't wait to read more.

Tanner is ruthless and always wins. He prefers solo, but on occasion will back up someone else. Apparently he also is a ladies man, but unlucky in love. As always, there are plenty of kills in this book.

Another quick read, I got off on a slow start with tanner but I'm enjoying the fast paced action of the novellas. They don't take any brainpower which is what I want at the moment

I loved finding out how Tanner and Joe met. I'm glad they are friends and can still be friends even though Joe is now with Tanner's ex girlfriend. And Earl and Merle, finally acting like real men and falling in love. Very Cool.

Tanner is a force of nature.

I've read most of these books and just when you think you know all about Tanner the author throws in a new twist to the legend that Tanner has become.

These are quick reads but packed with action. The plot lines are generally not very convoluted which makes them enjoyable for a quick escape from reality without having to engage your brain to follow along.

While not my favorite in the series I'd still recommend it to any fan of action/thrillers.

Some of the plot lines suffered some simply because it is a quick read. They would have benefited from a longer story but as they were really sub-plots for some of the characters it doesn't really affect the overall reading pleasure that I get from a Tanner book.

We do find out the beginning history of Pullo and Tanner and the events that cemented the quasi-friendship, but we also lose a memorable character that will be missed by fans.

Two For The Kill (a Tanner novel #8)

Tanner and Sammy team up to go after the man who killed Sammy's father. They end up in Mexico and end up taking down a major drug operation, including the local newspaper owner and editor. Sammy and Tanner return to New York where Sammy's girlfriend is killed when the cartel attacks. This action is paralleled with similar action that Tanner and Joe had encountered in Delaware years earlier. That mission was to kill a man named Conti. It too ended in death, but of an individual who was prostituting two young girls under the age of 10. When they returned to New York, they too had cleansed the area and saved two young girls and murdered their captor. Thanks for another great read.

Great book

Kane is a great writer. The books are fast and easy reading with characters that really come alive. Merle and Erle offer humor and the bad guys are really good guys down deep.

Another great book

As always fast and furious...and much better without Sara. There were more twists in this book than the last. A little harder to guess where the story will end !
