Come for Me

Rate this book
She left me. Married another man and ripped my heart out.
Now she’s back and begging for my help.
No way am I getting involved. Except I already am.

Savannah.
Her name still makes my head buzz.
We were in love, or so I thought.
But she broke my heart.

I made the army my home and tried to forget her fresh floral scent.
Her heart-pounding beauty.
The fool who stole her from me.

I thought I’d succeeded.
Until I got the call.

“Jayden, I need your help.”

What could I say?
It’s been years since Savannah begged me for anything.

Her child is missing.
The cops think he’s dead.
Her husband thinks she’s depressed. Crazy.
Maybe she is.

I won’t stop until I find out the truth.
The man who stole her son will pay.
And just maybe Savannah and I can fix what we used to have.

Some plot holes and implausible twists, but overall an ok read.
Likable and real MCs, he wasn't a manwhore and she, despite she didn't leave her cheating asshole of a husband, not a doormat.

I freaking DNFed part 2 about Tommy and Pippa - 2 years separation and she was frozen, but the piece of coward slept around in order to forget her - come on, give me a break! 🙄🙄🙄

This is my first book I've read by Mia and I enjoyed it. I felt bad for Savannah and all that she went through. I was happy that Jayden showed up and helped her. I of course was happy for them and their HEA. I also enjoyed the extra part of the story with Tommy and Pippa. I was also very happy for their wonderful ending too.

Not for me

I’ve tried to finish this book for days. The writing is disjointed. I generally can work with storylines that are over the top but this was just ridiculous. The relationship didn’t seem realistic and the heroine has a drinking problem that disappears over night.

Come for me

I went into this book thinking it would be great. You have a great storyline poorly written. I’m no expert at writing a book, but I had issues with all the people thinking the main character Savanna was nuts. I get the husband leads everyone to believe it but her best friend and ex believe it as well?! We have no leading into a relationship with Savanna and her ex. It’s said that they liked each other and cared but the back story was really dry with no real emotions. I read over half of the book and just had to quit it. I couldn’t connect with any of the characters. I really wasn’t a fan of Savanna either. Sorry for the bad review but this book had so much potential with the storyline, but just didn’t make it with the execution.

Come for Me by Mia Ford Come for Me By: Mia Ford
Just How Far Will He GO... As Far As It Takes!!
Her life was falling apart...
Everyone around her didn't believe her...
They ALL believed her husband's lies!
Her husband... a true psychopath!
She just needed someone to believe in her!
In a moment of weakness, she calls a friend from college...
Someone who was always there for her...
The ONE who got away!
He shoulda been her husband, but circumstances forced her hand in another miserable direction...
Now, just as always, no questions asked, he drops everything to come to her aide...
While everyone around her is betraying her, it seems there's ONLY TWO standing true!!
When the Secrets, Lies, & Betrayals come crawling from the darkness, will she be able to accept the Truths & move on into the future with a forgiving heart?!
Or, will she walk away from everything once it's all said & done?!
I was granted an ARC of Mia Ford's "Come for Me," & I happily recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time... Happy Reading!

Come for Me is like nothing I've ever had the pleasure of reading by Ms. Ford. We all know how incredibly talented she is as an Author, but I am beyond grateful for this riveting book. In her latest release you meet Savannah, married to a horrible man and recently deceived by all those around her in the most horrific way. Having no one left to believe her and what is in her heart and soul, she calls the one person she has always loved. Jayden lost Savannah ten years ago but has always loved no one but her. Regardless of how he has tried, Savannah has always been 'the one', his true love so when she calls, he goes. What he finds upon reaching her is like nothing he could of prepared himself for. He is one incredibly determined man, and this soldier will let nothing get in his way. He will make it right. With the help of his Army Brother, Tommy and Savannah's best friend, Pippa; they will solve this amazing mystery and save the day. What I loved about this book is that after Jayden and Savannah get their hard won, HEA, there is a bonus book for Tommy and Pippa. Each and every romance reader out there is in for a real gift/treat with this unforgettable tale. Thank you to Ms. Mia Ford, you once again prove how superb you are at your craft.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Come for Me in exchange for my honest opinion and I couldn't put it down, nor did I want to. I highly recommend anything by Ms. Ford, she breaks the mold in romance.

A complete heart warming overwhelming second chance romantic suspense from Mia Ford

I have read and reviewed few books of Mia Ford before, but this book really stole my heart. This one is a unique in its own way, this is a second chance romance between Jayden and Savannah.
They loved each other during their college but before things get processed, Savannah is married to a rich person, Bryan, after her first year of college and Jayden leaves to serve the nation heart broken. After 10 years, being in a love less married life and when her son is kidnapped, Savannah calls Jayden for help, as no one, including her best friend Pippa, doesn't believes her, that her 4 year old son is not killed in an accident but was kidnapped by the persons riding in the van.
Following events turn up very fast and interesting, discovered who is the actual kidnapper and why they kidnap her son, how Savannah and Jayden save her son and get back together and how she gets rid of Bryan are scripted in a mild blowing way. It was like watching a full length suspense movie with romance inbetween.
I could say this is one of Mia's most amazing books and she has nailed it and once her proved her writing skills, I'm giving this as my true honest review and not just because I received this book as an ARC.
Also, the two main characters who traveled throughout the story are Pippa and Tommy, dedicating the Part-2 for them was amazing too.

Savannah and Jayden met at college and fell in love. But her authoritative father came and took her away saying that she was to be married to Bryan. Bryan seemed nice, at first, but soon the marriage was in trouble with his abusive behaviour. They have a son, Peter, and this is where she shows that she isn't a total doormat and loves her son with a passion. When he goes missing, Bryan makes out that she crazy and that Peter is dead. He has everyone, including her father, believing him?? |What's wrong with those people??? Savannah is a wimp to let her father and Bryan walk all over her. |Why not refuse to be married to Bryan?? It's the 21st century for heavens sake! Her father was a rotten piece of work [admittedly not as bad as Bryan]. Thank heavens she gets drunk and phones up Jayden, after ten years of no contact, and he agrees to help her. I loved Jayden, his best friend Johnny, and Savannah's best friend Pippa and I do wonder if they will get their own book? There was so much good in this storyline - apart from Savannah. I just can't get my head round why she'd just marry a man because her father said so or why she stayed with that psychopath of a husband. But will they find Peter? Will he be alive? Is Bryan involved in this mystery? Why take a little boy? Why does everyone but Jayden and Savannah believe Bryan? I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Def. Recommended

Savannah is at a point in her life where all is lost. She can't find her six year old son, the police think he's dead, they've had the funeral and her husband is always angry with her now because she won't let this go. She wants her son Peter, but everyone is on his side. No one will believe her and her Pippa has tried to help her, but can't. Has failed every time. She needs help. There is no one left she can turn to, except … maybe? Jayden was part of her life BEFORE. He wasn't hers, but if she called, maybe?? Just maybe??
It's been ten years since Jayden's heard from Savannah. He's in the Army when he answers a call from her. He's always been one to help people, but Savannah was in a class all her own. She sounds drunk, pleading for his help, saying there isn't anyone else and she can only trust him. Claiming her husband drugged her, her son is dead and she never should have married him. Proclaiming it should have been Jayden.
This was a great story with characters that were interactive with each other and made you feel like they were including the reader in the conversations. Mia Ford took a first time love and brought to life the loyalty and devotion of a truly fated pair going through all the turmoil and angst without giving up on their feelings. The HEAs abound in this book, but they are definitely worked for. What a great book.

This is one astounding, no holds barred, nailbiting, cheating spouses, emotionally challenged, not sure who to trust, lies, betrayal, deceit and everyone thinking you're insane. Mia is phenomenal as she brings a nightmare to life in this suspense filled, terrifying, dangerous, page turning, explosive tale that will bring you to your knees. Armed with an incredible plot that leaves you reeling as the tale unfolds. A strong storyline that really takes on a life of its own. The characters and their personalities are so realistic and believable. The scenes are graphic and descriptive it totally blew me away. Twists and turns, secrets unleashed, nerve racking surprises that leaves such shock in its wake holds your attention until the last word. I would recommend this read to anyone who loves a great read. Savannah and Jayden have loved each other for a long time. Just as they were getting together Savnnah's weak mindedness sets them apart. And so they were for 10 long years, when Savnnah, in despair, seeks Jayden's help.... So Jayden goes to her rescue, like a real hero. Or so it is said and supposed, while in reality I didn't feel him as a hero, as much as I tried.
The idea is very intriguing, which motivated me to read on and find out how everything developed. But I found it a bit tedious and, to be honest, had to skip some parts in order to go on. To me personally, the way the story is told, alternating Savannah's and Jayden's point of view, does not help the plot. It leaves blank spots in some parts of the plot and exagerrates too much in others.
I felt relief when I finally reached the end, but the book left me wanting and a bit disappointed. I really expected more of it. The word "amazing" was used too often, but, unfortunately, amazing I did not find it.

Jayden had feeling for Savannah but was heartbroken when she married someone else after their first year of college. Jayden joins the military to get some distance between them. Now years later Savannah is still married to Bryan and needs help but no one will believe her against her husband. When something happens to her son she turns to Jayden for help when no one else will help her. Jayden helps even after she had broken his heart. Things get intense between them and Savannah knows that she needs to end things with her husband because Jayden is the man she should be with. Can Jayden and Savannah make a real go at a relationship with all of their baggage?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any of my book friends.

This is a definite page turner with suspense and some very interesting twists and turns. I really enjoyed this captivating read! I liked the story-line and characters. The story was a little different with some surprises I did not see coming. I loved Jayden and Savannah's story! It does contain cheating but who can blame her based on who Bryan, her husband, was. I also liked the secondary characters: Pippa and Tommy. I loved the added bonus story. I thought both were well written. My only thing that I kept pondering over was the fact Tommy and Jayden were military. I did not see that part as believable based on facts in the book and what I know about working for the military. However, this is a work of fiction so it's the authors discretion.

Savanah and Jayden were sort of, kind of a thing in college something that could have turned into more had she not been ripped away from her collegial studies and away from Jayden himself only to be married off to a man that couldn’t care less about her and was only in the marriage for one thing and one thing only. Savanah had been through a lot in the ten years that she was separated from Jayden and she couldn’t trust anyone to help her it was either Jayden or no one at all because essentially everyone that should be on her side was on the wrong side of the tracks and she needed someone from her past to help her find the truth and Jayden couldn’t leave her so he had to help her.

So many feels and emotions disclaimer I received an arc copy for an honest and voluntary review.

A very well written, fast-paced novel. The story flowed smoothly and garnered this reader's interest from start to finish and beyond. The characterizations were great. There was wonderful camaraderie between the two main male and female characters and their two best friends. This story had so many elements to it from action, adventure, betrayal, lying cheating, drama, angst and some romance thrown in as well.

Time well spent reading this story and the extra add-on regarding the romance of the main male and female's best friends. Sigh ... happy endings all! :)

I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.

I’m a big fan of Mia Ford’s stories and this one Come for Me is no exception. Savannah and Jayden met in college and they fell in love but before they had a chance to go further her father makes her marry another man. Broken hearted Savannah has no choice but to marry him, later the marriage seems to be going fine and she has a baby boy. One day her son is kidnaped and her husband says that he is dead but Savannah believes differently so she contacts her old flame Jayden to see if he can help her find her child and he does. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but there is so much more to this story I loved it. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Another great book by Mia Ford that will certainly keep you turning the pages. Savannah thinks she’s going crazy after her son goes missing & everyone is telling her he was killed in an accident. She reaches out to Jayden, who friend & first love from college, as she knows he’ll be able to help her. Jayden does a little digging & believes everyone else that her son was killed until he stumbles on a clue. With the help of friends, he breaks Savannah out of the institution her husband put her in and they start unraveling this mystery. The chemistry between the two is still as strong as ever but can they overcome all the obstacles in their way?

Savannah is forced into a marriage by her father. Years later her son is kidnapped and she is told he died. For some reason her husband would rather everyone thinks she is unstable than pry into his dodgy business. Left with no option she phones Jayden, the only person she can trust that isn’t under her husbands thumb. After some investigation he concludes that Savannah is indeed unstable and in need of medical help. With the help of her best friend they take her to a centre where she is drugged up and Jayden can go back to his army life.
Short and sweet read, true love that lasts 10 years apart. Leaves you with a warm feeling inside.

She’s crazy, she has lost the plot, she is delusional...that’s what everyone thinks of Savannah when she knows her son Peter has been kidnapped and her abusive husband Bryan has something to do with it. Even her best friend Pippa has doubts but still supports her. Now Savannah only has one choice.... to contact her high school sweetheart Jayden to help. She loved him but her father made her marry Brian. A fast paced drama of all four of them, Savannah, Jayden, best friends Pippa and Tommy all trying to find out what happened to Peter and keeping safe. Lots of drama, danger, secrets and so much more. Loved it
The ending novella of Tommy and Pippa was a special added bonus.

This book was a big fat disappointment. The story line was decent but all the characters were just "off". I had minor issues with all the characters but the worst was the H. The way he would talk had me rolling my eyes constantly. His excessive use of "oh wow" and then when he asked "is that a knocking at the door?" Seriously? Who the heck talks like that? I also had a problem with the fact that a military man didn't own a gun or take one to confront the bad guys and the way the H and Tommy almost soiled themselves when someone else started waving a gun around. Although the biggest disappointment was when the H, being a soldier for ten years had his ass handed to him by a suit. Un-freaking-believable! This one just didn't do it for me.

This is absolutely not one of Mia Fords usual theme and stories. I like that it is different and that makes it much more captivating and engaging. Very well written with nice story line and plot. A romance that is enjoyable and sweet. It is different and that makes it better. I just love these second chance romances.
A story of a nice length. Likeable well described characters that develops through the story. Amazing chemistry and passion. I like the unexpected twists and turns. Captivating and enjoyable read. Steamy scenes that are realistic and hot. The mix of drama, secrets, passion and twists makes it a great read.
Recommendable.

Jayden and Savannah are the perfect book couple. Jayden is so down to earth and swoon worthy. I love when the heroes are more real. When the story first starts you really don’t know what to make of Savannah and I think that is Ms. Fords goal but to see how it works out for her is refreshing. Where this story goes and ends up is so unexpected and the bonus novella at the end is incredible. Hang on tight because this one is a ride, it keeps you guessing as to what’s real and where it’s going to turn next. Definitely a page turner that is worth the read!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Oh my goodness… This second chance romance has you rooting for the hero and heroine. Falling in love in college, their love is killed on the spot when Sav's dad takes her out of college to get married. Jayden is devastated. He joins the army. Something is amiss, however, as Sav's husband tells her her son is dead. She does not believe it. While drunk, she calls Jayden to help her. As he still has love in his heart for her, he does. So they find Peter? What do they do about the love they still feel, and has grown through their time together? Fantastic second chance, suspense romance!

Come For Me is the second chance love story between Jayden and Savannah. While the story is dramatic and ultimately sweet, I could not connect with either of the main characters. Savannah while persistent in her quest for her son, was a bit too airy, naive. Meanwhile Jayden, being active military, came off a bit bumbling. I did not find a dominant, strong or smart character in this book. Even the antagonist while seemingly clever, had is plenty of idiotic moments. I enjoy Ford’s work, but this one just didn’t do it for me. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

Breathtaking, a captivating story about Savannah. A woman married to an awful man who does everything to belittle her and tries forcing her to believe their son is dead. In desperation she reaches out to the man she has always loved for help in finding her son Peter. These two face multiple disasters yet rekindle the live they thought they both lost. The story flowed well and their best friends added great depth to the story. The most amazing part was the additional story of Pippa and Tommy and what they endured to find their HEA.

Savannah and Jayden were seeing each other when they were young. But one day after class her father came to take her home to get married. Jayden has never forgiven her for that but when she calls ten years after in tears begging for his help he can't say no. She claims that her son is kidnapped and nor dead as everybody says and she is miserable and scared in her marriage. Is she telling the truth or is she going mad like everyone says ? Wow this book was so exiting. Didn't know what to belive. I am glad that she has Jayden to fight for her. I loved every single minute of it

Wow!! This one is a roller coaster ride! It's a fabulous second chance romance full of emotions, danger, drama, intrigue, guilt, but also is sweet, passionate and heartfelt. Savannah was forced into a marriage she didn't want, but never forgot Jayden. When her life spirals out of control, he is the only one she thinks that can help. Though Jayden was hurt by her, he can't help but come for her when she calls. The story line is fabulous and the supporting characters are so great, I highly recommend this one!

I liked this second chance romance. Jayden and Savanah were falling for each other in college until her dad comes and takes her away and forces her to marry someone else. Neither Savanah or Jayden ever really get over each other and he is the first person she calls when she is in trouble. Will he help? This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama and emotion. I liked the characters as well as the story. Great chemistry and the story really keep you on the edge of your seat. I liked it.
