Politics, discussions and alliances. Mark doesn’t care about any of it. When did it matters when the artillery falls and blood is spilled?
All that matters is who stands beside you when blood is spilled and hell lays all around you.
Centurion Victor, has a nice ring to it, Major Victor, Corporal Victor, Private Victor, his path has not been a short one. Brothers and sisters have fallen beside him, casualties of war. He thought Tyler and Alexis were just casualties of war, he accepted that.
Politics, discussions and alliances, killed them and should have killed him. Mark Victor is on a warpath, a path that leads to the top.
The secretive Roma Union has stepped forward. The warlike Maraukian’s are coming and humanity must rally together or shatter into oblivion.
Alliances, position, power, when a Victor has your name and a blood debt to be paid, it will be paid.
Michael Chatfield is a Canadian Army veteran and international bestselling author who writes the kind of books he always wanted to read—character-driven, gritty, tactical, and grounded in reality.
He doesn’t write one-dimensional killers wrapped in plot armor, charging toward an objective without thought. His stories are built for readers who want earned progression, tight, understandable logic, and realistic strategy. Every stat system has structure. Every decision is deliberate (except when there is Jaeger involved).
And the pacing? It's locked at two hundred percent. From alleyway brawls to starship armadas clashing over galactic sovereignty, from tactical dungeon assaults to city-states warring over a continent’s fate—Chatfield commits to every battle like it’s his last.
With millions of books and audiobooks sold, and tens of thousands of reviews his work spans LitRPG, military sci-fi, fantasy, and post-apocalyptic survival. He writes for readers who value systems that make sense, loyalty that lasts, and power that’s earned, not handed out.
Whether you're listening on a long drive, grinding through a shift, or up past midnight planning the next in-game raid—this is where you’ll find sagas to binge. Where strength is earned, logic rules, and camaraderie is forged in fire.

Was pleasantly surprised book two came out so quickly. Just as good as the first. I just hope book 3 comes out just as quick. This author non LITRPG books are still under Kindle Unlimited. If not read any of his books I highly recommend you try harmony books first. I also like his Free Fleet books. However the author best work came later with Trapped Mind Project LITRPG book series. The bad new Amazon has caused many LITRPG authors to leave KU after they banned several authors. Amazon gave no reason so many feared they were next, some are starting to come back. TMP was my first time I read LITRPG book and grew to love them even though I'm not a gamer. If you want to try his best work it's his newest LITRPG book series Ten Realms. Loved it and even though I had to buy it was priced right vs page count. Some LITRPG authors that left KU wanted to much for the work and page count. Now with Ten Realms well worth the cost. If like me and you a sifi fan but haven't tried a LITRPG book yet that's one I recommend.
Ok exactly what I was expecting from this author! Raw emotion, clever plotting, and hella ton of action! I can’t give it a 5 out of five because of grammar, spelling and word choice (don’t know if it’s a cultural thing with the word choices or if it’s an autocorrect problem). Either way I will continue to read this series and can’t wait for what’s next!
- Minus first star for the many spelling errors, typos, and misused words - Minus second star for the unrealistic numbers, distances, and days/ hours/ minutes. The "nearby" stadium at 200km, the trapped city built within a few days (especially when hours is all they should have had). The authors tried to include too much in this book. - Minus third star for the plot errors compared to the ending of the first book. Did they come straight from earth, or stop at Roma? Where did the additional mergers come from? On earth they started with 49, and many were killed. Where did the tank mergers come from, and why weren't they included in the final battle or counted as survivors?
All these errors make it difficult to enjoy. I will continue the series, but if this continues in the next book I'll likely quit.
I started reading this story back with the Harmony War series and the books keep getting better and better for me. This one was no exception and I ended up staying up all night to finish it. Great read! I can't wait for the next one.
I love this series. I got confused in a few places as people seemed to be in 2 or 3 places at once and some events happened a few chapters after they had been referred to but overall still a really good book.
Plodding, predictable, not tightly written. Frequent typos & grammar errors.
Plodding style. Plot lines could have been more tightly connected. Lots of typos and grammar errors. Author needs a serious proofreader before releasing any more work.
The 2nd book in this new series carries on at the same speed of the first. Big battle scenes wrapped around the emotions of a few struggling to survive whilst facing betrayal. Well written and equally gripping, already ro start the 3rd!
The pacing was excellent. The plot line well written. The political rigamarole....predictable but enjoyable. All in all a well written book that will keep the reader engaged and turning those pages.
