I downloaded this book thinking it was another with a similar name and I’m very glad I did. I enjoyed the characters both main and ancillary and the surprises that came along. A HEA ending with no cliffhanger.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, and no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I have bought this book because I loved it, and I own most of Zoe’s books!
The cover is matches with the rest of the series perfectly!
This is the 5th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content. While not required, I highly recommend reading this series in order because they do bring up events from previous books.
Zoe Chant is one of my favorite authors. She always gets the mix of action to romance just right where you can’t put the book down because you are compelled to keep reading it.
This is Jared’s story, and he meets his mate Chiara. She has had a negative experience with the paranormal world on multiple occasions, and Jared needs to change her mind. They have a bumpy road along the way, but together they can do anything. I’m hoping the end is foreshadowing what I think will happen in Gareth’s story. I can’t wait to find out!
I highly recommend to any shifter fan who loves complex shifter worlds filled with unique shifters especially if you already love Zoe’s work! I can’t wait for more!

I received a free copy and voluntarily leave my honest review!
Ok I like this one well enough BUT not as much as I was hoping too (maybe my expectations were on the high side). It flowed along ok with the usual good character development but I had high hopes for Jared being the only Griffin among the Dragons but I was a little disappointed.
Chiara was on the wacky side or maybe a bit quirky with her belief in Aliens, conspiracies and supernatural beings after experiencing an attack from a werewolf. I guess it made it hard to take her seriously at the beginning, she did grow on me towards the end though.
Jared had some things happen along the way that were a little predictable but still enjoyable to read about. Not really sure I felt the connection between this couple like I have with the previous ones.
Looking forward to the final book in the series which is about the Chimera and his fated mate who, after hints in other books, could be with the Firebird.
Overall an ok addition to the series.

Will update when I can finish this book.
I am struggling to keep reading this due to the beginning just seeming so unbelievable.
Apart from the plot discrepancies in the first two chapters I just struggled with how simplistic and silly the beginning of this book was.
Chiara is a woman who believes and is trying to prove, others e.g. werewolves, vampires, cat shifters, aliens exist.
She accepts a drink from a stranger in a bar and then dismisses his eyes changing. Doesn’t even give it any credence and of course he is a baddie.
She is then saved by Jared and shows him her secret map straight away.
Jared like most male shifters, doesn’t come clean straight away to his mate about being a shifter, allowing the usual they are monsters crap to be said.
Jared then thinks about her only knowing about bad shifters due to her being attacked. He was never told by Chiara that she was attacked by a werewolf.

Loved the twists and turns especially the wonderful surprises that Jared got. It was great to catch up with old characters and meet new ones. Looking to Gareth's story.

The Elemental Mates series has gotten juicier and more exciting with each book and this penultimate book is no exception. The noble Jared has been a steadfast and steady presence in all the novels and this book, Mated to the Griffin is his time to shine. With his mate, beautiful Ciara with the mermaid hair and the mysterious map, will they discover the meaning of the fifth plinth that has appeared in the council chamber at Sky Home? Will it lead Jared to answers about his own mysterious past? Will Ciara accept that there is more to the supernatural world than werewolves and aliens? So many questions at the start...so many answers at the end, and still more questions. What a great series! Well written with an extraordinarily well developed world and great characters you will love to read about. Bravo, once again.

Chiara is a woman on a mission. She had been kidnapped by a werewolf but luckily escaped. She quit her job, sold her car, and headed out to prove werewolves were real. Jared is a Griffin shifter and working for the elemental council, he happens to see Chiara being attacked and saves her. When he sees Chiara he knows she is his mate. She thought all shifters were monsters and when she finds out Jared is a shifter she is furious. But after he saved her and they spend time together she realizes she loves him. Through a few adventures they work together with the elemental dragons, to help save shifters and humans alike. This is a wonderful series and I hope to read more about these shifters. Definitely recommend it.

Yay! Jared finally gets a mate!
And what a mate she is! Chiara writes about werewolves, aliens and conspiracies! They are perfect for each other! And I think I know the 2 main characters in what I believe will be the last book in this series. I can't wait to see if I'm right!
This story has a breakneck pace, a hopeful tone, a character and action oriented storyline with steamy scenes and vivacious characters who you love. You do want to read these in order, to get the whole picture. If you haven't yet, and this one sounds good, then give it a try! This is a super series about mythological shifters and their fight to keep shifters and humans safe. Enjoy!

Though every book in the series is a stand-alone story, you get much more if you've read the books - Mated to the Storm Dragon, Mated to the Earth, Mated to the Ocean Dragon, and Mated to the Fire Dragon. In this book we're finally getting the story of the only known Griffin shifter and messenger of the Council of elements, Jared. Due to the events at the end of Mated to the Fire Dragon, Jared is on a journey for answers. This journey leads him to Chiara, his mate, but it's not a safe journey by any means. There is a HUGE reveal within these pages and I for one am quite excited for book 6, the chimera's story!

Now he is in France to hopefully find out more about the medallion and find the fifth elemental dragon. Chiara, human, was in France following a map to, hopefully, find something to support her theories about werewolves and aliens. Jared knows Chiara is his mate and together they follow the path of the old map, fighting off shadow dragons and finding much more than treasure at the end.

Jared has always longed for a family of his own after not knowing his own growing up. Chiara knows that there is something other than humans out there and is determined to prove it. Some are determined to stop them. Will Chiara accept that not all shifters are bad? Will Jared find out the secrets to his past?
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED seeing Jared his mate. After meeting Jared in the previous books, I knew he was going to be a good mate and he did not disappoint. I loved how determined Chiara was and how she was able to accept that not all shifters were like she had known. Great read!

Wonderful
Finally Jared got his story and found his mate. On the search for What is thought to be the fifth elemental dragon Jared met chiara who is on the hunt for aliens and werewolves after being attacked by a werewolf. Chiara is protected by Jared after being attacked by someone who wants the map she has. They found out there's not a fifth elemental dragon but a fifth element that is light and also Jared's parents

I love Jared
I loved this book. Jared didn't have any powers he was "just" a griffin. I liked Chiara too. She was not wimpy nor was she a female jock. She hiked and did what she had to do. Their love story is very sweet. Not as hot as some but they didn't pretend they didn't have feelings for each other. I guessed what they were going find in the lighted cave. That was obvious to me. I am also thinking I know why the Firebird made a fast appearance.

Another story I couldn't stop reading from start to finish. Everyone knows Jared finds his Mate so not a spoiler there. That's all I am going to say. Some twists & turns as you would expect in one of Zoe's books but can't wait for the final book. Hope eventually there will be a story about Jayden. You have to read the book to find out who Jayden is!!!🐲🐅

This book is so incredibly good. I was hoping that the author would find a mate for Jared, and she wrote the perfect story. I absolutely love the characters and the storyline in this book. The whole series is great, but this is definitely my favorite. There is a tease at the end about Gareth that I hope means a book for his character. I will certainly buy that one if the author writes it.

Mated to the Griffin book 5 Elemental Mates by Zoe Chant. This was one of those books that I kept telling myself one more page. It's a remarkable story that touches the heart. I

Awesome book

Loved it!
As always Zoe Chant has written a beautiful story full of love ,adventure and excitement!! Her ability to weave a fascinating tale never ceases to amaze me!! Can't wait for the final book in this world!!

I thought the old Phoenix had left the fire dragons. I wonder when the showdown is going to be with the five and the darkness. I didn't think those statues were Jared's parenrs.
