Pace: A Book About Running Not Running and Taming my Inner Asshole

Rate this book
By applying core basics from running, such as pace, recovery, fit, and form into a work environment, research suggests people can exist more comfortably and gain more energy. This made me wonder, could I improve my own 'type A' personality life by applying these concepts? Perhaps I could also improve my running experience by applying life stuff? Wait... Could all of this make me run faster? This book is about my personal evolution, in both running and not running. I include some research, talk from other runners, and some thoughts from my 'inner asshole'. My siblings will say I talk too much about my personal life. I'm okay with that. Just wait until they read what I wrote about them!

Who is this book for? This book is for runners, people thinking about taking up running, people confined by horrible little cubicles and long work hours and people interested in applying endurance sports principles to work and life.

As a runner , I didn’t find this book useful. Mildly entertaining, something I could read during my kid’s swimming lesson .

Just what I needed

I was having issues with motivation. This book helped. Provided inspiration. Also tied struggles with running to struggles with life. Very readable. Not boring. Would HIGHLY recommend ‼️

Great Life Lessons

Ann is a witty writer. I enjoyed her humor and her honestl. Chapter 10 was my personal favorite. She really spoke to me. I have been a runner most of my life so reading and story and other Runners stories was very applicable.

Paced game life

Pace is an excellent book for anyone... you don’t have to be a runner. It did open my eyes to where I need to pace in my life... not just my runs

Inspiring and funny

Very relatable. A bit choppy in some places. As a runner, I would recommend it and would give 4.5 stars.
