A church burns down and a body is found. Texas Ranger Lieutenant Sarah Armstrong tries to put pieces together on what and when, then onto who and why made this happen. The book starts off slowly, gives you a touch of information, the scene of the incident, then hits a fast moving pace that will not let you go. Then right in the middle of all that a few Mom and Daughter moments. I found that to be a nice touch, keeps Sarah human and real. I enjoyed the fact that there was not tons of twists but enough to keep you guessing. LOVED the ending of the book, just a touch of romance.
This book is another great story in the Sarah Armstrong Texas Ranger series, if you like strong women who aren’t afraid to stand on there own and work in a mans world then you will love this series. She’s a hard working Ranger that can hold her own and has earned the respect of law enforcement far and wide in Texas as one of the few women in the rangers and the only profiler she gets the job done while trying to raise her daughter after the death of her husband.
Five stars for a wonderful last book on a great series. I loved the tenacity of the heroine and that it had a mostly happy ending. The only wish I had was that she was allowed to find love, but maybe that will happen in another book! The author kept me on the edge of my seat and you never knew what would happen next. I highly recommend this book and the series to anyone who loves a good mystery!
Another Great Addition to Sarah Armstrong Mysteries
I glad we have had another Sarah Armstrong book. I've enjoyed them all and this is my favorite of the series. Good story line, loved the two cases. Story moved along at a quick pace. Characters were all well developed. I had a hard time putting this book down. I hope there will be more.
This book has a good, strong and complicated mystery woven through it with many different strands! Ms Casey's books have alot that I like in them. One of which is a good strong woman hero! She's what we want from all officers- someone who works tirelessly and doesn't give up on doing the right thing! Bravo!
Just finished the fourth Sarah Armstrong mystery. It is riveting. I could not put it down. I’m now want another one. I am hoping Kathryn Casey will publish the fifth.
Great read! Wish there were more books in the series. Sarah is a really strong character that does whatever it takes to take care of her family and get the job done!!
This is the fourth in the Sarah Armstrong series. Someone is setting churches on fire and in the latest fire the pastor is killed. Sarah helps the local police and they soon focus on Beau Whittle as the one responsible. Along with trying to find Beaus, Sarah has been tasked with talking with death row inmate and serial killer, Liam Kneehoff, to draw his victim so they can be recovered. Liam is cooperating in order to delay his execution. Sara is racing against the clock in finding Beaus before he kills a victim that Liam targeted. Here’s hoping for the fifth book
I had thought this was the last book in this series because Goodreads only has the 4 listed, however, at the end of this book it says there is another one coming out in 2019. Being that it is 2024, I assume it was released. No matter. I won't be reading it. I am done with this series and this author. She just isn't for me.
It is 2am and I had to stay up to finish this book. Casey makes her characters come alive. I’m always excited to find a Kathryn Casey book I haven’t read.
