All these stories were great. I look forward to reading each of these writers' entire memoir!
Sherrie Miranda's historically based, coming of age, Adventure novel “Secrets & Lies in El Salvador” is about an American girl in war-torn El Salvador:

Memorable selection of moving memoir stories. It's a page-turner of an anthology.

If you love to read memoirs, you'll devour this anthology in one setting. Each story is written in a refreshingly bold and intimate way.

I wrote the story, "Confidence Cape," where I share what prompted me to go through the arduous process of obtaining legal emancipation at sixteen. During this short story, I share an intimate experience with my heroin addicted homeless parents, a disheartening visit to the welfare office and the ultimate miracle.

Some of my other favorite stories include, Mom We Found Her, No Way Back and Harlem in Havana. The stories were written by local writers in San Diego and many of them appeared in the2017 Memoir Showcase. Each story has its own unique sweetness. If you love memoirs, I guarantee this will be a satisfying read and you'll be hungry to read more.
