The Baking CookBook: The Science of Quality Baking Recipes

Rate this book
The Savour Press's Baking Book has it all—sweet recipes for all your favorite muffins, breads, pies, tarts, and more, along with kitchen-tested techniques that will transform your baking. Recipes range from easy (drop cookies and no-knead bread) to more ambitious (authentic croissants and dacquoise) and the trademark test kitchen expertise shines through each one. Discover the simple yet sweet Blueberry Scones, what makes all the difference in our irresistible Cheese Bread, how we found what we believe the best way to make Perfoletes, and how to keep the best Buttermilk Biscuits your family will ever taste warm and crispy. An illustrated Baking Basics chapter at the front of the book provides information on key ingredients and equipment and lays the groundwork for a lifetime of baking success. The recipes in this book represent all the wisdom of the bakers that came before us as well as all we've learned through literally thousands of trial-and-error sessions in our kitchens.Related baking, baking cookbook, pastry, pie, sweets, cookies, recipes, cake cookbook, cakes, pancake cookbook, holiday cookbook

Some of the recipes look ok.

This is a very basic book for bakers with very little experience. There are no weights of the ingredients which a baker with any experience would want.
