I loved going back into this world Cara Bristol has created with Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides. In this series, there are Dakoian, alien men that are big and have horns, come to Earth in order to find a mate. In this story, we have Caid, who came to Earth looking for his mate. However, there’s a small problem. His mate is Jessie, a matchmaker for the Intergalactic Dating Agency and is forbidden to fraternize with the clients.

Caid gets extremely frustrated that his flirtatious ways are having no effect on Jessie. He even found a book to help him out, Best of the Worst: 1001 Pickup Lines to Nail a Chick. He calls it “his study guide”. He even had to learn to read in order to read this book, which he found at an antique store. He arrived with an implant imbedded into his ear to help him translate the language, but that doesn’t help him read in English.

“Of course, I’m here, doll,” I said, using one of the suggested endearments from my study guide. Since she wore uncomfortable-looking footwear and seemed a little breathless, this seemed like a perfect opportunity to try a recommended icebreaker. “Are your legs tired? Because you can sit on my face and rest.”

Jessie does have feelings for Caid, but loves her job. Her job is on the line if she can’t find a match for Caid. Her boss gives more and more demands and does threaten Jessie’s job if she can’t find Caid a match and soon.

This series continues to be a fun science fiction romance series. I’ve really enjoyed every book I’ve read so far. Each book can be read as a stand alone, though characters from previous books do have some small cameos in the later books. At the time of this posting, you can get the third book in a sister series, Alien Mate, free on Amazon. So check out Alien Intention, not in the same series, but has Earth women going to Dakon to be matched with Dakoian men.

I voluntarily read an arc of this book for an honest review. I absolutely loved this book! Caid is determined to win the heart of his mate. Unfortunately she’s just as determined to find him a mate from the database pronto or she’ll lose the job she loves. If she can’t find her own true love, she is going to find it for others. Caid insists SHE is his mate but it’s against protocol and her boss is breathing down her neck to match Caid or else. Caid is hilarious, his “guide book”had me rolling my eyes and rolling on the floor laughing. I love the persistence of these Dakonian men. When they find their soul mate, nothing will stop them from doing everything in their power to be with that person. This was such a great book and I loved when they got their HEA.

Caid is doing the Intergalactic Dating Agency and has been trying to get Jessie's attention, but she just keeps sending him on more dates. Jessie cant believe some of the cornball words that Caid says. After repeated attempts of finding him his mate as Caid and all Dakonian males call there wife, Jessie came up with the idea of doing a mixer. So Caid has 15 minutes at each table talking to the women so he can decide on which one. Or else Jessie can kiss her job good bye per her supervisor. Jessie cans a tad bit tipsy and Caid goes to take her home however she falls asleep so Caid takes her to his place. Once Jessie wakes she cant believe where she is and after trying to slip away Caid stops her and they decide on one kiss and for him to decide who he's going to date. Well the kiss blew Jessie away and cant believe he says Evie...… Enjoy another alien romance suspense from Caid on how he deals with Jessie's rejection and what happens next and how they get the HEA.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.

The third and final book of the Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides series was one I thought would be hilarious after encountering this romance pair in the earlier book. Fraternization rules were never flaunted so reluctantly but thoroughly. Fun end to the series.

Caid is the last in a spin-off trilogy and is part of a larger group of loosely tied books in the Intergalactic Dating Agency. It is better in order with the other Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides books, but could be read standalone in a pinch.

Jessie is one of the matchmakers working for the Intergalactic Dating Agency. She lives for her job and experiences romance vicariously with each match she makes. Told all her life that she's not that pretty and that she's boring, she believes it so her job is all she's got. And that's why the arrogant Dakonian who has turned aside from all her matches to flirt with her and tell her false things about how he wants to be with her and she is pretty really gets her steamed. Caid's unmatched status is a blot on her otherwise perfect record and the regional boss has noticed. An ultimatum ensues and Jessie gets desperate. Too bad she's fallen for the big jerk and can't stand the idea that she will have her satisfying job, but at the cost of her heart.

Caid was a quick enjoyable read. Its short and jumps right into the heart of the romance conflict. Caid knows Jessie is his mate. He's delighted with her and even enjoys her irritation at his attempts to woo her with the things he's learned from the dating guide he found in an antique store. Jessie can't see past her own ugly thoughts about herself or believe in Caid's sincerity. It was so sad. People can be so cruel with their words and they do so much damage. Caid never gives up on her no matter how many women she throws at him and he honorably won't take advantage of her in a drunk moment.

That surprise twist in the end was great. Right when I was thinking there wasn't enough conflict in the story; there it was.

So, the series ends leaving me with some more chuckles and smiles for the latest sexy hot Dakonian to find his mate and a woman to learn she's beautiful and attractive to the guy meant to be hers. Those who enjoy light and spicy sci-fi romance should give this book/series a try.

My thanks to the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Every bit as good as the previous books in this series! Loved the cheesy pickup lines - do they actually work?? Anyway, Caid is endearing and his efforts to win Jessie are sweet, if smarmy! Still, a good HEA is always a plus and this one delivers nicely!

Another delightful Dakonian romance!
Caid really wants the cutie with the ‘orange’ hair. Armed with Panther Cologne and outrageous pickup lines, he pursues her relentlessly.
Jessie has an unfortunate lack of self confidence regarding her appearance. I love seeing the change as Caid’s attention makes her realize that not everyone wants a model-slender look. She loves her work, has an outstanding success rate, and comes up with innovative ideas to find the right mate for her clients.

Caid is simply adorable! He knows exactly who his mate is, and goes far beyond what most men do, in order to court her. Everything he does is aimed to please her. He will not tolerate anyone mistreating her. His quick thinking saves the day! Written with humor and plenty of romance!

This was a great book I really loved Jessie she was so fierce and firm in her beliefs but it's hard to go against the heart. Caid was very authentic he knew that Jessie was meant to be his and he was going to do whatever it took to prove it to her. The hijinks in this book is hilarious and I loved the plot and all the characters a fun read.

HOW TO LOSE AN ALIEN IN FOURTEEN DAYS

Once again, Ms. Cara Bristol has spun an amazing sci-fi romance with humor. The new series is a spin-off from her Alien Mate series where human women were sent to Dakon to be paired up with Dakonian men. In this new series, the Intergalactic Dating Agency has evolved, allowing alien men and human women to use a computer match-making program to help match them up and the aliens will come to Earth.

IDA (Intergalactic Dating Agency) employee, Jessie Hancock has worked for the company for five years. She enjoys her job of matching aliens with human women. Caid, a sinfully handsome, smooth-talking alien who will set his sights on the woman he wants for his mate. But her encounter with client DK00009, Caid, has been a challenge, one that has caught the eye of her director, Evelyn Fidalgo, and now her job is under fire.

Caid is from Dakon and applied with the Intergalactic Dating Agency to find a human mate. One thing about Dakonians, they believe in a one and true Fated mate, and if they find her, they won’t deviate from Fate. When Caid meets his handler, Jessie, he knows she is the one.

The plot will have Jessie still trying to arrange dates matched by the computer for Caid. As an employee of IDA, she can’t even be in the system, but that doesn’t stop Caid from telling her that she is his Fated mate. For the past six months, she will arrange for him to meet sixty-two women in the system and he rejects them all, many telling them upon meeting, that he isn’t interested. He is proving to be a difficult client and one her directors isn’t pleased in her lack of making him happy.

The plan includes a mixer with at least twelve beautiful and possible matches that Jessie must arrange. She is hoping that one of them will please Caid because her job is on the line. A little too much alcohol doesn’t help her situation, but Caid is a gentleman. He wants to help Jessie out so she can keep her job and get him out of the system, but even that goes badly. It seems that no good deed goes unpunished.

The story has many twists and turns, corny pick-up lines and endearments that confuse Jessie. She thinks that Caid is a player, and he is trying to impress her. It is funny at the cultural differences between the alien planet of Dakon, and the ways of Earth and how others perceive them. What will happen when Caid makes his choice of a woman named Evie? Just when Jessie thinks she can throw caution to the wind, Caid breaks her heart. Now he is confused as to what happened, didn’t he do what she needed to help her out so she would quit matching him up by picking a female?

“What was I going to do now? I had to have a name! I had three days left to get him matched. I could contact him and have him verify his choice, but the ice would melt on Dakon before that happened.”

Leave it to the help of other Dakonians to come up with a solution to appease Jessie and try and help Caid back into her good graces. When all else fails, send flowers, lots of them, and a card.

“Is your father an alien? Because there’s nothing else like you on Earth—Caid.”

What does Jessie have to lose? She knows she will never find love with a human male, and this sexy alien keeps telling her she is his Fated mate. Can she make it happen? What is more important, a lifetime of happiness, or a job? Should she take the step to secure her future with Caid?

“Don’t let fear overrule your heart. Stop playing it so safe. Love is worth the risk.”

Evelyn Fidalgo, the Intergalactic Dating Agency director, was on the phone to talk to Jessie about Client DK0009 and why he still hadn’t been matched up. Caid of Dakon has refused the 62 attempts to find him a suitable date. Evelyn gave her two weeks to find someone or she would be let go, despite the 3,000 successful cases she had handled.

She met with Caid to see if the latest date had been acceptable. He told her he immediately knew she was not his Fated Mate, told her so, and left the restaurant. How could find his perfect woman if he only gave her 10 seconds of his time! So she decided to have a mixer with 10 of his previous dates, and this time, she would be there to encourage him. He showed no interested in any of them, so she told him her job was on the line and she would lose it if he did not pick a date. He was worried that he would not have a chance to convince her she was his Fated Mate if he could not see her anymore. But he did not want to choose anyone else. He had only accepted the dates because afterward, he would meet with her to discuss them. Those were the “real” dates for him. He already knew who the Fates chose – Jessie! But Jessie was not permitted to date clients. Was there no hope for them? What more can he do to win her heart?

I absolutely loved this book and the entire series! The humor interspersed as the gorgeous alien tries to navigate through our unfamiliar society is so well done! It made me fall in love with the characters and their wonderful personalities, especially when he refers to the pickup lines book he bought to win Jessie over. It doesn’t take much for the reader to become fully involved with these characters enough to care how things work out for them. Again we have perfect pacing, a perfect story. So get a copy for yourself and enjoy a perfect read!

Caid has immersed himself in Earth culture, so much so that with the exception of his colouring and horns he could probably pass as an Earthling, well one zapped forward from the 1960/70s - cos he is the king of the corny pick up lines!

Caid may have lucked out when his match ended up mated to someone else, but ever since he met Jessie at the IDA he knew she was his mate. But no matter what he says or does she never seems to accept his advances. But when she is about to be fired from the IDA because he won't date any of the matches she puts forward, he sees a loophole and takes advantage!

Jessie has one last chance to save her job and match up Caid. But he can schmooze like no-one she has ever met. He is just what she lusts after but no fraternisation with clients is allowed and she thinks that he's just a big flirt anyway and doesn't mean the things he say to her. But when she finally flouts the rules, will she get her just desserts or will her hopes and dreams be dashed?

Caid may be a flirt but he sincerely wants his mate to accept him. He is not above using duplicitous measures to get what he wants either! I loved the little blackmail plot cooked up by Caid and Jessie to save her job! Jessie has terrible self-esteem and I felt her pain at not being able to accept compliments she doesn't think she deserves or that Caid means them. I enjoyed the way that she blossomed under the care and attention of Caid.

Cara Bristol - Caid: Dakonian Alien Makl Order Brides #3 (Intergalactic Dating Agency)

Caid is the third story in a spin-off series from the Intergalactic Dating Agency. In this series the Dakonian males (their planet is literally a floating iceberg which mines a precious ingredient used to make energy), come to earth to find their fated mates. To be picked as a male to choose from the infrequent deliveries of willing earth Brides is a long and frustrating process so they hope coming to earth will speed up the process. This makes for some very humorous situations as the Dakonian try to assimilate and court their chosen females.
Caid is introduced in the second book of the series when the agency sends him as a potential mate to the wrong female. At this point. Caid has already made up his mind that his fated mate is Jessie, a very successful matchmaker agent for the IDA.
Jessie, the red headed agent with far from model looking attributes, can not believe the gorgeous Caid truly feels she is his mate. Besides it’s against agency rules doe relationships between staff and clients .
In order to save her job Jessie has several innovative ideas to introduce Caid to a female he will accept, but he remains adamant about his fated mate. Somehow the author figures out a fun, surprising crazy and entertaining story that gets them to their HEA.
An entertaining hysterical romantic third book in this sci-fi romance trilogy.

Said and Jessie

Said is a Dakonian who s first match and the next 62 were not his true mate, the IDA coordinator, Jessie was but she kept ignoring him and sending him on dates. She finally holds a mixer with 12 of his previous dates where at the end all 12 left their numbers including Evie the bartender. Jessie was inebriated and she passed out so he took her to his townhouse because he didn't know where she lived. Nothing happened but they did miss the next morning, he told her he picked Evie so she left in a high and wouldn't speak to him or see him. He sent her several bouquets of flowers after 5 days and she set up a meeting for him to meet a 100% match which turned out to be her. The next day she was late for work and her supervisor Evelyn was there. When Caid shows up at the office he reveals Jessie is his mate, Evelyn fires Jessie but Caid steps in and states that "Evie" was just as guilty of fraternization so they all decide to drop it and Jessie was able to keep her job. Two months later she's taken a month off, they've gotten married moved her into his place and are leaving for their honeymoon in Norway because he missed the ice and snow from his frozen planet of Dakon.

Once again this author has written a marvelous, highly entertaining Sci-fi alien romance.
The plot is entertaining, it is full of intriguing incidents, and it certainly kept my attention. The characters are well developed with attributes of determination when faced with certain situations.
It is about: an alien male (Caid) who is determined to get his fated mate (Jessie, a matchmaker) & relentlessly pursues her even though she is just as determined to carry on setting him up with unwanted dates.
There is: a ruthless boss, twists & turns, intrigue, humor, determination, emotional turmoil, rejection, desperation, drunkenness, deceit, misjudgment, nervousness, misunderstandings, disagreements, admittance, consequences, blackmail, distractions, love, happiness & some steam.
I really enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi alien romance and would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre.

An Alien and a Matchmaker Walk Into a Bar…
Another LOL/swoon worthy novella by Ms Bristol. These Dakonian Men are OUT OF THIS WORLD FABULOUS! Although you can read each story as a standalone, reading the “Alien Mates” Series first, and then the spin-offs, “Dakonian Mail Order Brides” Series, will help the reader understand the Dakonian Men better. And now, onto to the story. Caid…Caid….Caid! He’s a CHARACTER! I love his tenaciousness. I couldn’t put the novel down! Even though I knew there was HEA, I had no idea how he and Jessie would make it there. Ms Bristol did another fantastic job creating a story that the reader wants to read, and wants to read to the very last morsel. I do enjoy her world-building. I look forward to reading more of her stories. I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Jessie has one more Dakonian to get mated off but he is so difficult. He is handsome and sexy but he has such cheesy lines. She finds an interest in Caid but she can’t fraternize with a client. Caid knew from the moment he saw Jessie, she was the one. But getting her to believe him and accept it was getting difficult. He would do anything for her but she might lose her job if they mate.

There always has to be one that will drive you crazy. Caid and his cheesy lines are too funny but I hate that he keeps trying to win Jessie over when she keeps pushing him away. We know that they are meant to be but Jess is trying to do the right thing for the company. I hate that Jess thinks she is not pretty. SO she is short, has orangey red hair and a bit chubby, Caid liked her for who she is and thinks she is cute. I love that.

I voluntarily received a copy of Caid for an honest review all thoughts an opinions are my own.

In the third Installment of the Intergalactic Dating Agency, we get Caid’s book who we met briefly in book 2.  Like all other Dakonian males coming to Earth, he is looking for his destined mate.  Jessie the Dating Agency Match Maker who we met way back in book one is his fated mate.  She doesn’t believe it and keeps sending Caid out on dates since it's against company policy to date a client.

Caid’s complete cluelessness on how to get a woman is charming and endearing.   Yet he keeps trying and even though Jessie wants to be angry and repulsed she is charmed.  This was a really quick read one that was super sweet and a great addition to this series.

I am giving it 4 Boundless Stars I really enjoyed it.

I could not put this story down. It made me smile, giggle and laugh out loud. Caid is such a character and Jessie, well she had her own issues. As a couple, these two clearly show that romance is alive and well. I really like the various things we understand intrinsically yet when seen or heard from a completely different framework of life, they lose their meanings. For example a honeymoon, we take for granted is a vacation after marriage, but when someone has no frame of reference for marriage, the meaning is lost in translation. A funny, sexy story.

I really enjoyed this sweet, funny syfy romance series. Acid is the third book in the series and he is just adorable. I think he is maybe my new book crush! He travel from his home planet Dakon to earth and is signed up with the Intergalactic Dating service. When he meets Jessie, the match coordinator working toward his perfect match, his search is over. She is is true mate, even if she doesn't know it. And he has come to learn all the cheesy pick up lines and uses them all on Jessie. Too cute!

This book was hilarious with Caid's cheesy lines while trying to get Jessie's attention. He knew the first time he saw her that she was his fated mate but she was the matchmaker coordinator. Jessie was also attracted to Caid but it was against the rules. Caid went out on the dates she set him up with but always said they were not for him. Caid tried to charm her with lines from this old book he bought at an antique shop. Jessie had to find him his mate or she would lose her job. Caid's magic finally works on Jessie and they get their happily ever after.

I love reading this series and this is a brilliant addition to it. Very well written with well developed and well rounded characters. The storyline is interesting and engaging. I was invested in a happy ending for Caid and Jessie. They are both so sweet and loving. I voluntery reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it. Well worth reading.
A great fun and enjoyable story that I highly recommend.

A quick and highly entertaining story. Jessie must decide between her career or her heart, which should be an easy choice if she only believed in herself as much as Caid does. I loved Caid's persistence and determination to win over Jessie but a lifetime of negativity is hard to overcome. A sweet and romantic story with some surprise twists and a good dose of humor. A very enjoyable read.

If you like humour with your Sci-fi alien romance, then this is the story for you! IF you have ever been on a date with a guy who uses "cheesy pick up lines", then you will relate to the frustration that Jessie faces when dealing with Caid. Wildly entertaining, full of laugh out loud moments and more than enough villainy and misjudgment to keep you entranced until the end.

Very sweet. The matchmaker finally gets her match.

“You’re going to regret this. Conscience and common sense held a quick summit meeting and reached an accord.

Too bad for them, they served in an advisory capacity and didn’t get to vote.”

And it’s about time. Conscientious heroine and darling hero.

It frustrated me that no one seems to listen to what the Dakons are saying about knowing who their mate is. A lot of time was wasted because of it. It was a relief when Jessie finally started paying attention to what he was saying.
