I like the line of logic that Ernie has exhibited through his poems. Evidently, he is a genius just waiting to reveal himself.

I find his poems to be inventive, yes. But what dominantly came out were the views that he had that delved on various matters that are of human importance. I was able to relate well to most of them. I especially liked those about nature and about creation. They were exquisite and made one appreciate the wonders of Mother Nature more. It also reminds you of your responsibility as caretakers of the earth and motivates you to rethink the way you live your life and what you can do to make a change. There was this one particular poem which focused on the scientific theories of creation and how in the end, the most “logical” explanation is that there is a divine being, a God who started it all. The fact that my mind seemed to involuntarily accept it as truth is enough to make me believe in it. Science is the human way of explaining world we live in and sometimes it satisfies us as we try to make sense of everything around us. But Ernie Hasler is right. There is no explanation that is most satisfying than that which speaks of faith in a God who created everything.

Hear him out.

Poems of reflection about life – the good, the bad, and where you stand amidst all of it.

I just love this book! I fell in love with the good things that it has brought me. The lovely poems have given me this warm feeling in my heart. They have renewed my hope that the world is still a beautiful place to live in. This is a gift that I truly appreciate receiving from Hasler’s writings.

The bad, well, they are also part of the realities that we face every day. And honestly? I do not like reading about them. I have become apathetic to all these ugly issues that are also a part of our humanity.

But the best part is that, Hasler through his poetic compositions have placed them right before my eyes to see so that I may care again about these things. It has created this change in me and empowered me to get involved in ways that will make me more useful to society. Thank you!

Read this sitting down. You will need the support.

Get ready for Ernie Hasler and his poems about the truths that everybody must know. These poems are going to confront you head on and set your mental mechanisms into high gear. Well, the first few poems did not just jump right in on the critical issues. In fact, they set up a mood of caring, of beauty, and of appreciation for the wonderful world that we live in.

I actually liked those first few ones but in the succeeding poems, I was totally impressed!

From Hasler, you will see a perspective that is strong and honest – the closest to the truth that one can ever get. It will leave you with something worthwhile to ponder on and maybe cause you to act in your own little way. I think that, that is what the author is trying to achieve here.

I have only read the volume 1 of the book, Poems: Reflecting the Truth and I can already pronounce that Ernie Hasler is one of the greatest authors that has ever lived!

Ernie H. uses poems as his way to talk about world problems, injustices, and the teachings of the Lord. He has this delicate way of talking about serious and important issues. I like this book because it has poems that are easy to understand, unlike other poems that are hard to decipher and may contain a lot of various meanings. Ernie Hasler’s poems are straight to the point, targeting different social issues.

I believe that this book can make a difference in the world. It can make a better change starting with the perspectives of each reader.

Music to my ears! Rhythm and rhyme envelope these poems. You know, not everybody who likes writing poems actually do it right. But from the first poem I have read up to the last one, I know that this particular author is gifted. Here, you will find different topics that are of extreme importance in the way we live our lives today. What stands out though is the author’s ability to present them in a way that is very imaginative and yet thought-provoking.

That last poem is a great ending. It is much like leaving a legacy to the next generation. The author evidently wants to leave something behind that can be of great value to readers. By admitting to the mistakes he had made, he makes the change more possible and motivating. Truly a brave soul!

What was I to do had I not read these poems? Well, I could just have kept on navigating through life blindly without a care in the world!

I want to thank the author for taking time out to put together his collection of poems and actually publishing it. I know that many literary artist out there never get the chance to do it or are brave enough to put themselves out there. Let me also send this affirmation to Ernie Hasler- you did a great job here! You made me realize that life can be so much more only if you release yourself from apathy and actually care about what’s going on.

I know now what to do and I am not wasting any more time. I hope that you too will be benefitted by the hard truths that were revealed in this book!

I am a woman and no man has ever known me nor understood me as deeply as Ernie Hasler has. This man is deep!

I have to pick a favorite and though I have many, I can’t help but choose the one Hasler composed about women. You almost made me cry Ernie!

This poem about women talked to me directly. It was like an exact description of who I really am - my needs, my challenges, my dreams, my strengths and weaknesses, and everything that I can ever be. You are right in saying that the role of us women and society has been downplayed in the past but because of people like you who has begun to appreciate us and really see into what we can do and are doing for society.

Thank you Ernie! May these poems spread more empowerment.

I have read enough of Ernie Hasler's book to say that he is a good author. He serves his audience with engaging and thought-provoking books.

When I stumbled upon this book, I was hesitant because poems are not my specialty, but I liked this book!

The book talks about us, our human lives, our day to day routines to keep surviving, the inequalities we have developed over time, and how it affects our societies, the hierarchy of the high and low ranking people, the secrets of the underground, and the author also included many of Yeshua's teaching. He pondered if humanity followed his teachings or not. It is an inspiring book; you will love it from beginning to end!

Every time I finish a poem in this book, I swear I could stand up and give each of them a round of applause. The author, Ernie Hasler, deserves a standing ovation in the literary world. His poems are so serious yet so significant.

I once read one of the meanings of a poem. It says that a poem is something that arouses strong feelings because of its beauty. If that is the case, well then, every piece in this book is the perfect poem.

While talking about various worldly controversies, Ernie Hasler also raises awareness with so much depth into the hearts of every reader. This book deserves to be read and heard by the whole world.

I could imagine how every poem in the book, Poems: Reflecting the Truth, could be the best suggestion for an ideal oration or declamation piece. All the poems contain strong and intense feelings.

As a devoted Christian, I idolize Ernie Hasler, the author. He made me reflect about Yeshua’s teachings in ways I have never reflected before. What is much more interesting is, I developed great realizations through a poem!

By scanning through the table of contents, reading through the poems’ titles, you can already tell that you are about to embark on a mind-boggling journey in the world of poetry about the world’s greatest concerns.

This book says that it took 50 years for the author to understand the Truth. And by truth, it means the truth about the world; the truth about what this book is trying to say.

At first, I thought it was purely exaggerated. When I got to know the contents of this book, I figured that when it said, “50 years”, it is not, in any way, a form of exaggeration.

Poems: Reflecting the Truth contains complex matters and complications in this ever-changing world. Topics of oppression, injustices, equality, child abuse, women abuse, and Yeshua's teachings. One couldn't take a year or two to understand topics like that. It takes too long and a complete transcendence in this world.

When I read the poem “Awkward Child” from this book, I couldn’t help but shed a tear. It talks about a child being neglected by an alcoholic mother. The poem being from a first-person point of view makes it more touching. The words were chosen to strike the heart and mind of a reader, and this is not only applicable with the poem, “Awkward Child”, but all the other poems in this book.

While this poem points out the psychological welfare of a neglected child, it also taps on the economic issue of the Scottish Whisky Association and their battle against minimum pricing. That is how extraordinary and notable this book is.

Ernie Hasler is the best!

A solid revelation of truths that are yet to be unveiled! Before I discovered these poems, I was just an ordinary human being who could care less about what’s happening with the rest of the world.

Today, I feel different because I have gained a better understanding of the seemingly complicated world around me. This book has explained and revealed numerous things to me in a creative, Ernie Hasler’ way that is very convincing and credible.

I didn’t mind changing some of my views and improving on previous beliefs now that I have experienced these truths myself. My only wish is that Hasler writes some more because I am definitely looking forward to having more.

Such powerful views in this work of poetry. I have never imagined topics such as democracy, religion, economic inequality, and other equally-important stuff can be freely discussed through poems.

Because of this, I enjoyed the book immensely. I mean it’s not everyday that you encounter some kind of enculturation in such an innovative method. The reason why I do not watch the news anymore is that they can be toxic. What with all the gory crimes, corruption, and what have you that you can view on TV.

But like a charm, this book has worked for me because Ernie Hasler’s poems has a way of confronting you without being too critical.

You really need to get a copy of this.

There is not a single poem in this book that is not worthy enough to read. They will either entertain you, give you comfort, teach you, or open your eyes to reality but at the end of the day, the profundity allows you to receive the most important gifts of knowledge and wisdom. I know that these are a result of 75 years of human living experience and I am just happy to have read them and learned from them. Here, you will find that you can’t just go on with life blindly. You have to be able to challenge the truths that you have been fed with because they may not be the actual truth.

If you ask me if I will recommend this book to you, I will say yes with confidence.

This is the best time for you to discover the truth! What better time to read this collections of poems but NOW. I won’t be a spoiler and tell you everything about each one of them but I tell you that every single one is simply a gem just waiting to be discovered. They are full of wisdom and at the same time, have a high entertainment value. I am planning to use some of the poems in class as part of a lesson on various social truths and what to do about them.

I finished the whole book over just one weekend because I cannot get enough. I just kept reading. They are an easy read actually so the poetry reading experience is quite steady and fast. You too will enjoy them!

The book is heavy with information. Hasler spent fifty years to research what was going on in the world, and how the problems progress every other year. He is inspired by the teachings of Yeshua and some of that, you will find in the book.

He has an in-depth understanding of what is going on in the world, and I am glad to have learned from his experience. From beginning to the end of the book, you will not take your eyes from it!

The range of emotions these poems evoke is one of the most important value that it brings. Ernie Hasler didn’t just write for himself. He expressed himself beautifully, yes. But he also showed how much he cared for people around him and how he wants to affect the way you think and feel. To make you smile and be happy. To make you think deeply and reflect on the more important things. To make you empathize with fellow human beings despite the wrongs in the world. To make you revisit your faith and renew it realizing how close you can now be to the truth. Allow this book of poems to find its way into your mind, heart, and soul!

I say grab a copy and enjoy them yourself.
