Shaila has everything a woman could want. A billionaire lifestyle, all the advantages that money could buy, and a life that others can only dream about. Yet, it’s not what she dreams about in her sleep, it’s not what she longs for throughout endless days of charity balls and garden parties. What she truly wants is a real man. The kind of man that sweats to earn a dollar, the kind of man that knows a woman is there to be a partner, not a trophy. The kind of man that knows how to keep a woman happy in his bed. In a moment of madness, she leaves the glamorous life behind and runs right into the man of her dreams. But is Shaila really ready for the simple life? And is the man of her dreams far more than he seems? **This book contains strong language, adult situations, and is not suitable for anyone that might need a fainting couch, does not like paranormal romance, or knows what smelling salts are for. No cliffhangers and a HEA are in your future with this one. I hope you enjoy it-Miranda
HOLY MACKEREL!!! Wow! Man this little guy takes the cake and not even gonna share it. A sweet, quick little page turning tale that holds your attention until the last word. The characters are well developed and believable. Their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out as well as play off one another brilliantly. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it really pulls this little treasure together beautifully. The twists and turns along with a few glitches here and there make for one enjoyable tale. Miranda did an excellent job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Miranda, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
I loved this story. Started off a bit different than what I was used to from this author but none the less it held my attention easily and I read it to the end. Definitely threw me towards the end but that just made the ending that much sweeter. From rich to richer, I loved that, especially what she went through to get there.
As previously I recommend reading this authors books, they are all well worth it if you love shifter stories.
I received a free copy of this book from this author.
This was a great quick read that was at times sweet and others steamy. It's a little different from what you've come to expect from the author, leaning more towards contemporary with just a dash of paranormal thrown in. It's more about the characters, mainly Shaila and her journey of self-discovery and falling in love. And who wouldn't want their own hot handyman who's good with his hands who just happens to shift into a wolf. Some little surprises and twists near the end make the story worth reading to the very end.
Delightful romantic tale. Shaila has everything she could want except affection. When she decides to get away for a while, she doesn’t expect to like doing things for herself. She sets about learning what is important to her and who she really is. Wade plays a big part in her final decision. I enjoyed this story. I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
A lovely romance! I loved how Shaila found herself and how Wade helped her through it all. Miranda took this storyline in a direction that is unusual for this author, but she does it super well. There is a part towards the end which caught me by surprise (no spoilers!), but then it ended off right.
The story was nice but it lacked depth. The characters were nice and showed growth yet I felt some things were missing details and explanation. Other things seemed rushed. There could have been more drama or more threatening factors so as to make the end of the story more memorable. All in all, it was an enjoyable book but it needs a little more work to be great.
I wondered where this tale was going. The rich Senator`s daughter never had any warmth or felt loved by anyone. and the handyman mutually attracted to each other.
I gave this 3 stars. I liked the way the story started out...it was actually a story. Then everything changed and it was like being thrown in to end the book.
