Bolt I've lived my life exactly like you imagine a rockstar would. The booze, the drugs, and so, so many women. I had it all and did it all. Until I walked into a tattoo shop and met her.
Peyton didn't see me as Bolt, my stage persona. She saw me for me. There was something between us. Something invisible, electric and undeniable. It pushed us together and pulled us apart... again and again. Despite it all, I knew Peyton had to be mine. Until she was brutally taken from me. And my seemingly perfect world came crashing down.

I rated this as a 2 the first time around and did a reread to see if I was being too harsh. Some elements I really liked, I have a thing for tattoo artists and rock stars and the storyline was OK. The story just didn't flow well for me and I found Peyton annoying at times, judgmental, and inconsistent (normally I am not so hard on the h's in stories so I don't know why I was here). Also, I guess in around the 3rd chapter I noticed the use of 'babe' or 'baby' over and over, it really started to make me nuts. Like everyone calls each other 'babe' or 'baby', sometimes 3 or 4 times on a page. Don't think I will be reading the rest as it sounds like more of the same (breaking up and getting back together.
Peyton is a tattoo artist working for her long-time friend Seb when they get the job of a lifetime – tattooing world-famous rock band Rancid Vengeance. Tasked with inking Sam, the band’s overconfident lead singer, Peyton falls for a man she knows will be no good for her – and then into a torrid relationship. Will she change her mind when she discovers his true nature? How will dating a world-famous Rockstar change her?
This is a book of two intertwining parts. The first is the romance. This is trope-tastic and extremely saucy. Sam, or “Bolt”, is muscle bound, perfectly dressed, and carries a gigantic member. He’s cocksure and arrogant on the outside, but inside is a sensitive soul with a painful past. Peyton and Sam fall for each other instantly and spend most of the book have frantic sex.
I was initially put off, but two things saved it. First, I was reminded of a porn writer I used to know. She said that the readers come with certain expectations, and it was your job to give them what they wanted. If you’re tending (largely) to women’s fantasies, you have just as much a responsibility to serve that as you have to make sure Luke Skywalker confronts Darth Vader or that Inspector Morse discovers the murderer. So, this is a saucy novel, and that comes with certain expectations.
Once I accepted this, I began to enjoy that part of the relationship. The sex scenes made me giggle and it was all tremendous fun. This led to my discovery of the second part. The structured nature of the romance allowed space for all sorts of interesting character work.
Peyton is cool. A talented tattoo artist who basically built her car and has an active creative life is someone you would want to be friends (or lovers) with. She grows throughout the book, empowered by the romance but driven by her own dreams. While the sex stuff was making me giggle the character development hooked me. A delightful story sits between the flexing pectorals.
I unfortunately dnf this one so I won’t star rate it . I got about half way and got frustrated by the hot and cold of Peyton and the way she kept running from bolt for very little reason . From what I can tell the whole series is going to be like that. It’s also a British book and the use of pet names for each other became a bit agitating . Everyone calls each other ‘babe ‘ every two seconds and I’m not used to that I guess... maybe I’m in the too old for that category ? Haha
Peyton Harper has three things that are etched into her DNA. 1.) Celebrate the skin you were born into, hence her love of tatoos. 2.) If you've got it, flaunt it. Words passed on to her by her mom, a former pin-up model. 3.) If things sound like they're too good to be true, then they're bullshi**ing. Right out the box, I'll say this. There could be trigger points so if you're prone, be advised. The book immediately shows Sam, lead singer of Rancid Vengeance, overcome with grief after returning from Peyton's memorial service, drinking vodka straight out of the bottle crying uncontrollably. Having taken a hand full of pills with his drink he takes a bread knife and proceeds to start slashing his wrist trying to escape the pain while someone is beating on his door. This is a Rock Star Romance. It's fun, it's light, it has it's angst and drama. It has it's good and bad guys. And it's a well written story with relatable, lovable and hate able characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the book while trying to find out what brought about the Sam's pain. This book ends with a cliffhanger that you can make assumptions about but with no definite ending yet, so be prepared. Amiee Louise has done her job well by keeping her readers entertained, engrossed, and definitely spellbound waiting to see what happens.

I deferred from leaving a review for the individual books in the Tattoos and Tears series until I had finished all four. Badged as New Adult Romance, author Amiee Louise has created an interesting mix of characters for this series. They were interesting enough to keep me reading to the end but I have to admit that the storyline’s weak, relying on clear inspiration from other well-known erotic contemporary novels, tv shows and films. The author clearly is a fan of Kill Bill among other things. To my mind, these are erotica not New Adult Romance. The constant over use of “babe” becomes a more than a little repetitive. In the first book, the sex scenes are very in your face and descriptive bordering on porn but then they too become repetitive and excessive in the following books. There are significant continuity gaps in the story (unrealistic time frames etc ) and an apparent lack of research or knowledge of certain key points eg the simple fact that a rock band of the stature of Rancid Vengeance would be at the venue by lunchtime and sound checking by 2pm for a 9pm on stage time not arriving an hour beforehand to set up and play with minimal soundcheck. As an author, I appreciate the blood sweat and tears that go into getting a book into print. A little more content and lot less cheap sex and these strong characters could have been developed so much more believably.
This is my 1st read and review for this author and wow what a story I loved it. It starts with Sam sitting in his apartment writing a letter which breaks my heart. Then it skips to Peyton who is a tattoo artist and works in the best studio called Saint Sinner Ink, she’s the best female tattoo artist out there and her boss Seb Henry is a famous tattoo artist he does Rockstars, movie stars etc. Peyton kept going to his studio to get a job and to get him to look at her portfolio he kept refusing but one day he had enough and had a look then he hired her on the spot and she’s been there ever since. Seb gets a call from Rancid Vengeance’s manager for the both of them to ink the guys from the band and now the fun begins. This story made me laugh and cry it ripped my heart out and I’m waiting for it to put it back. I loved this story and I haven’t cried like this over a story in a long time it was so emotional I still have tears rolling down now just writing about it. An absolutely fantastic story a 5 plus +++++ ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Sam and Payton. Love isn't easy they say but it is worth the chance. This is something Sam and Payton must learn and go through. Each of them have issues from their past. However when they are together things just feel right. However the issues from the past don't always stay in the past. What will happen when they come to the present? Will they make it or was it just a spark in the past?
This is an amazing book. These characters will take you on a journey you will never want to get off of. It has its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Wasn’t sure when I first started this book - first chapter is a bit of a tear jerker - but sooooo happy I persevered. What a rocky, rocky ride these two have. Sam (aka Bolt) and Peyton, star crossed from two different worlds. If that’s not enough, the people surrounding them will do what they can to cause mayhem.
This is a solid 4.75 stars. The FMC is a little weak of character and needs a tiny tweak to her back one. The MMC is such a typical rockstar, I want to give him a slap and tell him to face up! Having said that, I really enjoyed their dynamic and hoping book two is as good as this one. That cliffhanger tho?! That’s a killer! Highly recommend.
Peyton is a top notch tattoo artist and when she works on Bolt the attraction is mutual. Bolt is a rock idol and has lived the life that is entailed in that but his past is coming back to haunt him Can Peyton who has been wounded by an ex in her past give him the benefit of the doubt or will their love burn hot and fast and die You will need to read to see if their love can survive the damage that both carry

This was such a beautiful read and what drew me to it was the cover as it looks so sweet and innocent. I also really liked the tattoos and as a girl with quite a few of her own the blurb pulled me in. I love that Peyton has been taught to be comfortable in her own skin, flaunt what you have and if it sounds to good to be true it is. These are three things all women need to live by. I will say this book has some heavy emotions so be prepared. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Temptations is a well written book. I was drawn in from the beginning. The characters are relatable. They have past relationships and personal difficulties, as well as, continuing habits they find hard to break. Peyton and Sam make a great couple. They have chemistry and they are good for each other. I recommend that you read this book and follow Peyton and Sam’s journey to see what happens with them. Just beware it ends in a cliffhanger. Must read!

Ok let me just say that Peyton is stupid. I dont like her running at every turn. I also dont like that she keeps believing "quoting her own words"her lying ass x boyfriend all the time. She keeps acting like her life was over after him, but a yr later she decides she wants to hear everything he has to say! STUPID. Aside from that little bit of frustration I really have enjoyed the book. So much that I renewed my unlimited account just so I can finish the series. The author left me hanging on the last page lol. I cant wait to start book 2. I just hope she stops running.
Well written, great characters, off the charts heat and chemistry. Half truths, lies, heartache, crazy ex, pasts and pain. This pulled me in and kept me wanting to see what was next. I enjoyed the side characters , they added to the story. I recommend it to all. I received it from booksprout and voluntarily left my review.
He had done it all drugs booze and girls. Things changed when he walked into the tattoo shop and he was her. She was so different from everyone else he had met. They were pushed together and pulled away so many times until she was taken from him. He is going to get her back. See if he can

When Sam walks into the tattoo shop where Peyton works, the attraction is instant, for both of them. This could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship, but will their past mistakes and heartbreaks let them build a future together? Wonderful start to this series! I can't wait to start the next one. I received an advanced reader copy and am leaving my honest opinion.
Oh what tangled webs we weave. This amazing story of heartbreak and half truths. I fell in love with Sam. So young, so messed up. I enjoyed this story but wish the name Babe wasn’t used so much.

This was a very well written and engaging story. The author created a wonderful cast of characters who I hope to revisit in the future in additional books to this series. I was intrigued right from the beginning and could not put this book down once I started reading.
This book was good . It has a few editing errors but nothing crazy. The story is good and the characters just helped to pull you in. I will read the next book because this one does end on a cliffhanger.
This is the first book in a new series and what an emotional roller coaster journey this story is. I was completely enthralled throughout this riveting tale and I cannot wait to read the next book in this fascinating series. I recommend for all readers.
He is a rockstar, she is a tattoo artist. He and his band come in for tattoos and it was like a lightning bolt hit both of them. Their passion was strong from the beginning but there are people who are trying to sabotage them and their happiness. Great book.
Book 1. Love at first sight. Sam and Peyton have a bumpy start. Both have ex relationships and baggage. Well written and held my interest. Ends on a cliff when someone cut the brakes on her car. v
I really liked this story but I didn't enjoy it because even though the writing was good, the terminologies and expressions use were a bit too young for me.
WOW!!!! What else is there to say. This was a really HOT story, and you will be missing out if you don't read it. I couldn't put it down it was that good!
Be warned this is the first of what I hope is only 3 books about Sam and Peyton, the 3rd one is due at the end of November! I will review it once their story is concluded.
