If Natasha Rivera is involved, the answer is usually yes. The owner of The Twisted Tart bakery has never been shy about expressing her opinions or her desires. The only secret she ever kept had to do with her feelings for a certain Finn and the details of their unusual relationship.
When reformed bad boy Senator Stephen Finn asks Natasha to join him for a week of political intrigue and kink, there’s no way she can say no. Nothing has changed. His star is still on the rise and she is still too wild to be tamed. Once they get their hands on each other they’re bound to cause a scandal…but it might just be worth it.
Recipe of Warning: Take one outspoken, sexually confident woman and a repressed former bad boy. Combine until sparks fly. Add voyeurism, exhibitionism, spanking, excessive quantities of explicit sex, a kinky house party and whatever pervertible you have on hand…thoroughly shake the mixture until your wrists hurt or your batteries run low. Mmmm. Yummy warning.

R.G. Alexander is a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author who has written over 50 erotic paranormal, contemporary, urban fantasy, sci-fi/fantasy and LGBTQ romance books for multiple e-publishers and Berkley Heat. She’s also self-published several best-selling series.
She has lived all over the United States and worked all sorts of jobs in her life, including nurse and lead vocalist, but for the last seventeen years, she’s been a writer of all things romance. Now she can’t imagine doing anything else.
RG feels lucky every day that she gets to share her stories with her readers, and that she is happily married to a man known affectionately as The Cookie—her best friend, research assistant, and the love of her life.
Stephan Finn, a reformed bad boy, now a popular state senator is handsome, smart and he's one of the most eligible bachelor. His long-time lover is Natasha ‘Tasha’ Rivera, a gorgeous woman who’s running her own business, a woman who knows what she wants and waht she needs. Even if Stephan’s family knows that he and Tasha occasionally got together for no-strings sex, they didn’t see each other for six months. For sixteen years their relationship didn’t change, the rules between them stayed the same. The most important - no relationship outside the bedroom.
When Stephan need Tasha’s help and ask her to join him for four days of political intrigue and kink, Tasha can’t refuse this chance to spend some quality time with the man she secretly loves. She wouldn’t need to pretend she doesn’t know the famous Senator and she’ll be able to touch him and more. So she's more than eager to help the Senator. But she can’t forget Stephan is not into kink like her and the fact he doesn’t understand the lifestyle she came to love.
Will Stephan realizes Tasha is more than just a woman that is there for him when he needs someone? Will he realizes Tasha’s sexual preferences are not sordid or something to hide?
This was a nice, kinky, easy to read novel but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first book in the series. But I liked it! It was hot and kinky with two likeable characters that I enjoyed reading about. Tasha was a great character. She’s mouthy, honest and kind-hearted and I loved her sarcasm. Stephan is sweet and thoughtful, but he also can be possessive and dominant. Their chemistry was scorching and the sex scenes hot, passionate and kinky. While I enjoyed all that I think the plot was a little lame and convenient at, especially through the end. Also the ending felt a little rushed and I can’t say I liked a certain plot device in the end.
Overall, this was a great read, but I think it could have been better if the story was a little longer and the plot was a little more developed.
Tasha and Stephen have had an on again, off again affair since college. The arrangement is purely for sex, and Tasha knows that Stephen will never be with her more than in the bedroom. As a Senator, Stephen can't be seen with someone like Tasha, a free spirit and a member of the local Kink club. But when he needs help getting into a private party, he needs her help in and out of the bedroom.
I read the first book in this series awhile ago and I really enjoyed it, so I don't know why it took me so long to finally read this one. The story was super sexy, and I'm loving the Finn family. I really like how close this family is, but I also like how the other family members aren't in the book too much, so they don't take away from the story at all.
Tasha and Stephen were great characters, and I loved the chemistry between them. Their story is short, but doesn't lack in the sexiness department. I highly recommend this series for anyone that likes a fast paced, kinky read.
Ok so after reading the blurb I’m expecting a party filled with orgies, voyeurism, exhibitionism along with all kinds of bdsm goodness.
What did I get? Vanilla sex with a little bit of public groping and anal.
Can you say false advertising?!
On the other hand, while this one was missing the smut, unlike it’s predecessor it actually had a storyline. Which was actually pretty entertaining.
Also the chemistry between Tasha and Stephen was pretty hot even if it was mostly vanilla.
Another issue was a ton of loose ends. Like how are you gonna end it like that?
I mean I understand that there will be more books in the series. I have no doubts that things will be covered but I’d like to have everything sewn up considering even though it’s a series, these books are still standalones.
The only thing I don't like in this story is that it turns out that Tascha turns out to have been pining for Stephen just as much as he did for her.
I quite liked that she was 'promiscuous' and didn't care what anybody thought. I kind of would have liked for them to just end up together, period. Oh well, just because it didn't turn out exactly as I would have liked doesn't mean it's not a great story.
BR with the delightful Debbie as we move through this series. MF this time around with Stephen, a politician and his sometine lover Tash who we met in book 1. Tash who is kinky AF so I had high hopes.
There was more plot here and plenty of sex as I've come to expect from this author. However, I felt like we were promised more from this couple and it didn't arrive. There was some primal play but I felt like Stephen could have given us more, especially with Tash's experience
I have been a huge fan of RG Alexander since I bought my first kindle many moons ago. Every book she has written has pulled me in deep, but this new series has taken a hold of my heart. I think in my humble opinion this is some of her best work, and that is saying a lot, because it is all phenomenal. The Finn siblings are special, but hardheaded.
Stephen just might be the most stubborn of them all. He is determined to overcome his troubled teenage years by going in the exact opposite of that. He is down right the model citizen now. His house is perfect, his carrier as a senator is perfect, and he is the most eligible bachelor. He has one not so secret weakness, Tasha. When his sister’s ex-boyfriend failed miserably at blackmailing him and his siblings, his big secret came out into the light, and he told Tasha they had to have a serious talk. Six months later he summons her to him, but not for the talk she has been wanting and dreading at the same time. Can her heart and his survive the plan he needs her for?
I absolutely love Tasha!!! She is a sexually charged spitfire, and doesn’t apologies for it. She has a huge heart she hides behind her sexuality and humor. In some ways she is more fascinating than Stephen, and he has me by he heart! I love how she almost dares him to indulge in the dominant side she can sense in him, and ohhhh what a dark and twisty rabbit hole that leads them down. The chemistry between these two is an all-consuming inferno, and they just about melted the e-reader from my hands. I loved reading about a Dom learning his way through his deepest desires, and seeing him bring out the submissive brat in this switch-y girl. I can’t recommend this book and series more. Y’all should snatch it up today!!!!!!!!!
It's HERE!!!! *fist bumps the air..."woop woop"* This was on my Kindle when I woke up this morning. I love pre-order!
This is the 2nd book in the Finn series. And I most definitely, highly recommend reading Curious. Each book is a standalone but characters from each book are in each book lol... so get to know them and LOVE them too!!!
Now.. on to Natasha and Stephen's Journey. I DEVOURED it!!! So many emotions I felt from the words of R.G. Alexander. My heart pounded, swooned, cried a little, and smiled. We are taken on another sexyyyyyyy, heart-felt ride with sassy Tasha and straight-laced Senator Stephen.... they bring out the BEST in each other!!!!! Perfect for each other!!! Tasha is one of the few heroines that you WISH you knew in real life!!!!!!!! If you haven't guessed already, the chemistry is palpable through the pages... like serious SMOKE!! I couldn't read this fast enough!!!
And I can't FREAKING wait for more!!!!! Brady is up next in Dangerous.... M/M!!! woooohoooo <3
Hate.
I wasn't a fan of Tasha or Stephen throughout most of the book. I saw Stephen as the squeaky clean reformed bad boy turned senator who wanted Tasha for sex, nothing more. God forbid anybody sees them in public together, especially considering that Tasha's a bit on the wild side. I didn't like Tasha because she allowed herself to be Stephen's secret side piece for sixteen years.
Well, I was wrong. I was wrong about a lot of things in this book. I ended up liking both of them, especially Stephen. That shocked me because I'd seen him in other books and had pre-judged him. That was wrong on my part.
This book isn't even remotely realistic but it's sexy as hell. I'm not really a fan of authors switching up from M/M to M/F and others in the middle of series but it is what it is.
More like a 3.5 stars. I really love Tasha and Stephen's relationship, 'cause even though they're so different, they make a good ass sexy couple. They started hoking up since college but they were never a real couple until Senator Finn needs Tasha to help him against Phillip Burke, who's one of the biggest assholes I've ever read. They attend to a party that will last for the whole week and as the days go by, they realize they're perfect for each other. But Natasha is scared of the fact that her sexuality, her kinks and her past would not be good for his image. She won't interfere with his career so she gives up any hope and just takes what the little she can have.
I mean that's like the whole plot. And yeah, I know it doesn't sound that good but believe, it is. This author writing is sexy AF. Both of the main characters are delicious, beautiful and I can assure you, you'd love to hang out with the Finns. I'm looking forward to the 3rd book of the series and yes, I wish I had a Stephen Finn as boyfriend.
Only a few series make me go back to MF stories, and the Finn Clan totally did. Tasha had to get her happily ever after with Stephen and that she did! Sexy, kinky and emotional! Absolutely loved it!
I think I liked this one even more than Curious ;)
I’ve gotta be honest here. I picked up the first book in this series, Curious, because the M/M genre caught my eye and another blogger who I follow had read it and loved it. That’s basically all it took for me to fall in love with the entire Finn clan. So, even though BDSM isn’t one of my ‘go-to’ reads, because it was part of this series I knew that it was a must read. I wasn’t disappointed. ;)
Readers were introduced to Tasha and Stephen in Curious. Actually, their affair tied into Jeremy and Owen’s story and I was more than excited when I found out their story was next. It seems that the only two people that didn’t know that Tasha and Stephen were meant for each other were Tasha and Stephen… at least within the Finn clan.
Natasha took whatever interaction from Stephen she could get, so when he asked her to help him she didn’t hesitate to tell him yes. She had loved him forever and even though she knew her lifestyle wasn’t good for his squeaky clean reputation, he needed her. What she didn’t realize was that Stephen felt the same way.
So… yeah, the story was kind of predictable… and yeah, I spent a lot of time ‘yelling’ at both Stephen and Tasha, Scandalous was still a really great story. There was humor, heartbreak, some really bad guys, plenty of heat and in the middle of it all a really sweet love story.
Next comes Dangerous and it’s another M/M romance. I’m pretty sure I can guess who the next Finn will be. I can’t wait to see if I’m right ;)
Well, now....that was just a fire that kept getting hotter with each scene. Stephen never knew he was such a dominant alpha and a hot one to boot! Tasha never saw that coming, and her heart never had the chance to hold guard. Stephen was a natural, even though he said it was learned from reading a book. Tasha and Stephen had been having no-strings sex for 16 years just so they would stay in each other lives even though Tasha was a best friend of the Finn family and practically a family member. They didn't realize they were keeping each other in their own circle for their own same reasons until Stephen needed her on a job that only she had skills for. Those skills were smoking hot when it also was matched with Stephen's deep down newly opened skills. You could read the attraction ran deep with these two and knew it would be a solid match if they just were honest with each other. The only saddened part I felt was the very end when Tasha didn't inform Senator Stephen of what was to be expected in 7 months. I truly felt a little short-changed not being able to read Stephen's emotions when that bundle of news was dropped. But in the next story it was handled with perfection. Guess good things come to those who wait.

Finn Factor series by R.G. Alexander has become one of my favorites ever since I read Curious and now with Scandalous. She writes deliciously sexy heroes and feisty heroines in all her stories and Stephen Finn and Tasha Rivera are no exception. I loved the different layers to Stephen...one of bad teenage boy, straight-laced, serious senator and the hidden Dom waiting for just the right moment to come out. And when the Dom came out to play, he was freakin' hot! I adored spitfire Tasha who was not afraid of her sexuality and was the perfect woman to bring out the dominant side of him. I loved the history between these two and the secret rendezvous they've had with one another for all these years while waiting for the other to admit his/her true feelings. This author had me glued to the story and I could not put it down. Another amazing story in this series and I cannot wait for Brady's story next.
Scandalous is the 2nd book in the Finn Factor series and is just as great as the first! This series is definitely a must buy for me. I loved the addition of the BDSM elements in this story, and the way that that the characters have had feelings for each other for so long, but for their own reasons don't act on them. While they are different, they are also similar in some ways. This book was just as sexy (all of RG Alexander's books are guarantied to be) as the first. With wonderful characters and a great story, it is a definite recommendation!
I only read this book because it came in-between the excellent M/M romance of Jeremy and Owen in Curious and leads into the M/M romance of Brady and Ken in Dangerous. These days I just prefer to read M/M. HOWEVER, I'm glad I read this story. Firstly, it really set-up the romance between Brady and Ken. Holy cow, I'm itching to get at their story. I'm already in love with Brady. And secondly, I did enjoy this. The chemistry between Tasha and Stephen is incredible. We already know from Curious that Tasha likes to spend time at the local BDSM club and that she has had an on/off relationship with Senator Stephen for many years. But here we get to see a kinky side to the Senator. (Very lite BDSM) My biggest complaint is the over-used ending, which is a typical M/F ending.
Steam: 3.75/5 - Probably a 5 for a lot of folks. The sparks were flying and the scenes were prevalent. I was there for most of it but a focus on m/f anal isn't my jam and it was centered.
Romance: 4/5 - I liked that there was so much history and that even though the story is told in the FMC's POV, it's made obvious that the MMC had been invested. That's also what made it annoying. Like, just pay a modicum of attention or use your words to express your feelings, ask some questions instead of assuming and your problems would be over.
Plot: 3.5/5 - There was intrigue but some of the plot points played into misconceptions. I'm not a fan of drama that comes down to people not communicating.
Rereable: Not for me. The "Just fucking talk to each other about your feelings" vibe wasn't in my face enough to ruin the book for me but it's enough that I wouldn't read it again.
Continuing with author/series: I already started the 3rd book in the series, I like it a lot so far. I'm wondering if I prefer Alexander's m/m work.
This had some BDSM flavour, but was more about two people taking their looooong term sneaky link public. It was kinda sweet, but was lacking the intensity found in the first book.
I liked this one just not as much as the first. Natasha was the main thing, I wasn't crazy about her in the first book but I gave it a shot anyway. I just couldn't relate to her at times, I never cared for the thing between her and Jeremy and I really didn't care for the thing between her and Stephen over that 16 years. I don't know at times she came across as a great strong gal and other times she came across as kinda skanky and not real smart. I guess I just wasn't convinced she loved Stephen with all the things she did and the way she behaved at times, I really didn't get her.
I did enjoy them together, for the most part, and I liked Stephen. He was written in a way where I kind of already figured out why he had held out for so long, Tasha not so much unless she was just enjoying "playing" the field. The other thing that never works for me is the big "oops" but most especially if the woman is planning to do what Tasha was planning. That really did her in for me, that is just a big fat no in my book. I can't believe she would have done that to him if she loved him so much. I don't know all those things put together just didn't give me the warm fuzzies I got in Jeremy and Owen's story. It was good but not great for me.
I can't wait to get Brady and Ken's story, I loved those two.
