I write paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and other stuff. I taught myself to read when I was four. That was around the time I tried to ride my tricycle to work. I wasn't sure where work was, but I knew it had to be interesting if people went there every day. Now I combine my love of books with work, and I don't have to ride my tricycle to get there. My Elder Races series began May, 2011. You can also find me on Twitter and Facebook!
On average all of these novellas are 3.5 stars Some are better than others. They move the storyline forward and give you more about other characters in the Elder Races world. All have at least one steamy scene.
Note: my dislike/ambivalence toward the Dragos/Pia novellas (there are so many of them! Seven!) has less to do with how well-written the novellas are and more to do with how much I dislike those characters. I enjoyed Dragon Bound. I did not care about their relationship after their book, and the novellas only reaffirmed that opinion. They’re my least favorite part of the Elder Races. Thea Harrison is a fabulous writer and I’m sure the novellas are decent if you like those characters.
Also, I’m sorry, but the Liam subplot is so weird. He’s already a grown up after two years! And then Dragos and Pia magically vanish so that Liam can take their place??? What??? So is he going to get a book soon? He’s a baby! I freaking hate this weird trend where magic babies grow at an accelerated rate and are adults after a couple years. I’m blaming Twilight for this.

I have enjoyed every story in this collection, I was half way through when I realised I needed to read the complete collection of The Elder Races books, which I have done and then I carried on with the Novella Bundle. Soooo good, I was riveted and found it extremely hard to put down. All of my favourite characters in truly enthralling short stories and I so enjoyed the ones which feature Liam. But all together the whole collection was THE BEST, there is no doubt in my mind that Thea Harrison writes a wonderful tale that keeps the reader completely engrossed. This series has been one of the most enjoyable set of books I have read for many years and I do hope they continue.
The novellas here are great fleshing out of the world and the Pia/Dragos story maturation and conclusion that you don’t get in the main novels due to other Main Characters taking center stage.
I really wish Planet Dragos had been a full novel. It was the most important story and was largely rushed due to the novella structure. The other stories work fine as novellas but that one I wanted more.
