Twisted Rock is the first novel I ever read by Jill Sanders. And I really enjoyed this one. Twisted Rock is the story of Rose and Sawyer. But the story is so much more than just a simple love story. It's a story aboutdiscovering who you are and how you function within the relationships you havein your life.

In chapter 1 we get to know Rose. She has always loved Iscaac. And no matterwhat happens, they always find their way back to each other. They marry youngand she imagines a life of them having children together. One night she dressesup and is waiting for him at home. Until a knock comes at the door. AndDetective Carson and Sawyer are there. Her husband’s plane went down in theocean and they are searching for him.

Pain consumes her and she is lost. But after about a year Sawyer is the onethat gets her out of that hole step by step. And she starts to live again.Until she finds something horrific in her basement.

And that is where the story kickstarts. Is she guilty of what is found in herbasement? Or is someone else? Things happen, evolve and scare her. But Sawyeris there the entire time. They become rock solid and a great team.

But the ball keeps on rolling and one thing happens after the other. The bookhas an exciting story line and keeps you gripped throughout.

I love the dogs in this story. Ozzy and Tsuna stole my heart and I love theirpresence and their souls.

But even though I really enjoyed the story. It was also really hard to trulyconnect with the characters and the events. It felt like the story was writtenvery distantly. I didn’t really feel their love in my bones. It was there, butnot all consuming. And the same goes for the plot of the book. A part of me wasinvested in the police investigation, but it didn’t make my heart pound. Itdidn’t give me goosebumps. And one thing that bothered me a lot, is that thepolice constantly says we are posting a police car at the front of your gate. And each time something awful happens that police is poof gone. And a new oneis posted. Why does the car always disappear? I kinda hope that will getcorrected in eventually newer editions of the book.

But overall this is a really good book and I did enjoy it a lot!  So I am rating this book between 3.5 to 4 stars.

This was my first read from Jill Sanders and I loved it! I am a new fan!

This book had a little bit of everything! From Suspense, action to ROMANCE! I don't like leaving spoilers in my reviews, but I will say the whole time I was reading, I wasn't expecting the end result! It literally made me gasp out loud as I found out who the perpetrator really was!

Rose & Sawyer are GOALS! I love them together, they compliment each other so well! Must read for sure!

Romance, mystery, action, suspense, and so many twists and turns.....this story keeps you on your toes. I loved Rose and Sawyer together. They didn't meet again under the best of circumstances, but Sawyer helps Rose through a difficult time and events keep bringing them together until they just can't deny their attraction. A shocking twist you don't see coming and a HEA along with two adorable and loving dogs makes this a great read!

I was really enjoying this and had originally decided on 4 stars until the convoluted ending. It was so unbelievable and such a let down after the build up had been so interesting.

Buried Lies!!!

Rose Clayton got some world shattering news regarding her husband. He was in a plane crash, she was devastated when Royce Sawyer delivered the news to her. Fast forward one year later and she realized it was time to move on with her life. Thanks to another visit by the handsome cop, Sawyer.

When the town was hit by a storm, She made a discovery that rocked her world for the second time. There was a body and the said body turned out to be non other than her late husband. Everyone was saying that she killed him except for one person.

Royce Sawyer, was looking to start afresh after his wife left him for his so called best-ffriends to nearly all his savings. He moved to Twisted Rock where he used to visit his grandfather's farm in his childhood.

He was the one who'd told Rose Clayton about her husband's demise. After watching her struggle for a year, his heart was aching for her. When a body was found in her house and everyone started pointing fingers at her. He knew he had to protect her.

As they spent time together, they made some discoveries that tilted Rose's world for a third time. The more they uncovered the more dangerous things became for them. Someone didn't want them to find out the truth about what really happened to Rose's late husband.

Liked the bond between Rose and her stepbrother. The latter was very protective of the former and vice versa. As the danger surrounding them increased, they fell in love with each other. Turned out the culprit was someone they never thought of.

TWISTED ROCK is a romantic suspense by Jill Sanders. It was filled with lots of unexpected twists and turns. This book has the right amount of romance, suspense, deception and relations. Magnificent job by Ms Sanders! 5++++

Twisted Rock is by far my favorite Jill Sanders book. I was totally blown away with all the twists in this one. All I have to say is I didn't see that coming. Just wow. This is one book you need to read if you love a good mystery. Your heart may break just a little for Rose as you read along. But you will love how Rose finds her strength again and is able to come back to the light. Even with Roses life turned upside down she still manages to find what she didn't know she need or wanted in Sawyer. I love the connection between Rose and Sawyer. They both bring out the best in each other as they try and figure out what is going, who is after Rose and why, and who is behind Isaac's death. Sawyer is amazing. He is the right cop to have by your side. You will love him and Rose together. There are a lot of skeltons that start to come out and you will be blown away once everything is revealed. I couldn't put this one down and was immediately drawn in from the start. Go one click this one because you will not be disappointed at all. Try and figure this one out, I sure didn't see it coming.

This was a good mystery. I liked the little twist at the end. Rose gets the news that her husband was killed in a plane crash and she just checks out of life for a while. One day she sort of wakes up and decides that she needs to live again. She finds out that her husband had a mistress and a child. They had put off having children because he wasn't ready. Then when she is having the house worked on, her husband's body is discovered in her basement. How could all of this happen? The man who told her that her husband died tries to help her get her life started again knows that she did not kill her husband. No matter what the mistress says. As Royce tries to solve the mystery, they get closer, but things get more deadly.

I would like to thank the author and the Netgalley website for this partnership.

I was immediately drawn to the cover of this book, where you see a woman crouching at the water's edge, passing her hand over the surface of the water.

There is Rose, who lost her husband a year earlier in a plane crash. When a body is found in her house, everything will change. The real killer does it again, she's going to ask a policeman Royce Sawyer for help.

A book read almost in one go so much I hooked on the story so moving, captivating, addictive and full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters. Looking forward to discovering more books from this author who has an addictive pen.

A new read from Jill Sanders! Rose's husband is killed when his plane plunges into the Atlantic Ocean. She is totally devastated. She retreats into her own dark depression until Sawyer, the cop who had to break the bad news in the first place, drops by and sees the mess she is. This prompts Rose to get back on her feet.
From then on the series of incidents that make it seem like Rose has something to hide. While Sawyer can't see that being her.....
A new Romantic suspense from Ms. Sanders complete with murder and mayhem that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The twist is a total surprise totally worth the read! I nearly bit my fingers nails off.

4.25 Hearts Wow! This was not what I expected. First Rose has the carpet pulled out from under her when she learns of her husbands death, then she finds out he had a whole other life she did not know of, and then (not even) last but not least she finds her husbands body when she is having the house worked on and the mistress is blaming her!

What more could go wrong? Oh trust me… in this story a lot more.

This is a keep you on the edge of your seat and can’t put down kind of book. So many twists and turns in this story that it will keep you up trying to read it in one sitting.

Not to be missed!

Rose had fallen in love with Isaac Clayton when they were children at school together. They had grown up together and went straight into their perfect marriage. They eventually settled away from the city in their huge house. It was a renovation project but eventually it would make the perfect family home. Isaac still worked in the city, but he always made it home as often as possible. He always showed that he was thinking of Rose when he couldn't make it home by sending her favourite flowers.

Suddenly one day, Rose's life changed forever - Isaac's plane crashes on his way back to work, and the local cop Sawyer has to break the news that his plane went down over the ocean. How will her life ever be the same without him?

However, all is not what it seems when during a storm, some of the foundations of the new extension collapse and a body is discovered!

Many twists and turns in this story, keeps you guessing all the way through. I was convinced I knew who the killer was, but it wasn't. Total page turner that I couldn't put down.

A dark and twisted thriller to get your blood pumping and your mind entertained! A missing and presumed dead husband until things start to go awry in Rose's life and a body is found on her property. The rush is on to for Rose to figure out who the body is and why it is on her property before the authorities lock her away for a crime she didn't commit. Excellent character development enhances an intriguing and twisted plot the unwinds in a manner to keep you up late at night turning pages as you just can't wait to see what is going to happen next!

The first two chapters I was not sure I was going to like this book. It started off with all this information but not much interaction with the characters. I will say this hang in there it got good, really good. This book has so many twists and turns right when you think you know who did it the author throughs you a curve ball out of no where and then you are back to guessing again. I loved how the love that Rose has in her heart for those she loves literally jumps off the pages you can almost picture her face in her mind. I really did not see the end coming I don't care how many clues the author dropped that was a shocker and so amazing. This book does have adult scenes in it but the author did it with enough info it might not offended anyone. This book was so good it is well worth the read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

Established author jumps genre to write a exhilarating novel about uncovering salacious secrets in a sophisticated domestic drama. In the interest of pining a new Genre, Ms. Sanderson brings her knowledge of character and plot designs a story about the unthinkable within family and friends.
As Sawyer the bearer of bads news also becomes the Savior, Rose has to unravel the lies presented by her own husband. To the detriment of how she believed a marriage worked.
As Sawyer and Rose collaborate to piece the truth together, while being stalked and troubles abound, sparks fly between Rose and Sawyer.
I highly recommend this book as a forensic Scientist it stumped me on who the culprit was, almost to the end. And not to mention Sawyer and Rose together is hotter than a cast iron skillet over a fire.

Wow! I just love Jill Sanders. Her stories are really phenomenal. She doesn't just write a romance there's more to her stories than just romance. When she puts pen to paper her words just dance off the pages and into your heart. She really knows what her readers want and always delivers.

In Twisted Rock you get more than just romance. There is a mystery and it is full of suspese. Rose Clayton and her husband Isaac Clayton are childhood sweethearts and then one day he dies in a plane crash. A year later mysteries surrounding her husband come to surface. Royce Sawyer is a police officer and he and his partner are the ones to tell Rose her husband is dead. Sawyer, as everyone calls him, really helps Rose get back on her feet again. The chemistry they have is amazing.

Twisted Rock was a phenomenal read. It had romance and suspense and mystery. It was very riveting. There were moments my heart swooned and I laughed, cried and even was on the edge of my seat. I felt a range of emotions. The characters and secondary characters were all believable and by the time I was half way through the book I felt as if I were actually a part of the story. Jill Sanders wrote a truly amazing story. I was sad to see it end. I could not put it down. I even found myself reading the story a second time. I love Twisted Rock. Can I say I love you Tsuna and Ozzy. Their just so adorable. Can I just say I'd love to see this book turn in to a movie. Just that fabulous. Jill Sanders you outdid yourself with this one. Thank you for a phenomenal and riveting story. Just perfect.

Rose living in the city was lonely with Issac traveling a lot.First anniversary he bought a place in Twisted Rock, their hometown. Almost daily he was flying with a one and half hour commute. Two cops came to inform her, his plane and he were missing. She stopped working on the house or much of anything. The place was drafty and thought of selling. A storm comes, and one dead body is found in the basement, they are saying it was her husband..They are saying he had a mistress and a child, how much more will be added. She thought she knew him and to be betrayed this way. The town has always been talking now they are saying she is guilty. Except for one police office standing by her The story has plenty of twist and turns, with the emotion onebfeels for Rose, victim or was she guilty.
Good mystery as her books are always enjoyable to read. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion by Net Galley and Kobo Writing Life.

This was a good mystery, it took a lot of twists and turns. The characters were likable and realistic. Looking into how a woman would deal with the grief of her husband only to learn he had a mistress. Trying to move on while clearing her name. A good, cozy read.

Someone is watching you. Rose & Isaac had a good life together that was until he disappeared one day. It has taken her a year to move on, she has been busy getting the house sorted and she knows that Isaac would be proud. But everything changes one night Isaac is no longer missing he was in the basement all along. Rose is their main suspect as she was the last person to see him but the two local cops don't believe that she killed him. But how can they prove it? Sawyer knows that he needs to take a step back from his involvement with Rose as he can lose his job but he just can't get enough of her. The punches keep on coming to looks like Isaac was cheating on her and that he has a young son. Rose can't believe that as he loved her and they were happy but all the evidence is pointing in that direction. The mistress will stop at nothing to ruin Rose and she will make sure that she pays for taking her son's father away. But things aren't that simple as Isaac's father has just been arrested and someone is after her. Can Sawyer keep her safe and will Rose find the answers that she is searching for? A really good solid read. I was lucky enough to receive a copy via Netgalley and the publishing house in exchange for my honest review.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Whoa, the title kind of gives you a clue about the book - full of twists and turns, you just never can believe anything until the end. I want to be careful and not give away part of the story with spoilers!

Rose really had a shock when her husband died in a plane crash but that is just the start of all the things that get revealed to her. Along the way, she has the help of Royce Sawyer, one of the officers that informed her of her husband's death.

Just when they start acting on their attraction, Rose is accused of murdering her husband and from there, there is one thing after another that is revealed.

I am really glad that at the end, everything was explained from the beginning as there were quite a few side events that connected to the murder and a detailed explanation helped me "see" the whole story.

I enjoy romantic intrigues and this was heavy on the intrigue as Rose and Sawyer had to put their romance on hold while the police were investigating her. After an attack, Sawyer is sidelined which allows them to get back on track with their relationship.

In the end, all is wrapped up and Sawyer and Rose get their HEA.

Twisted Rock is a romantic suspense novel that is heavy on the suspense. Rose fell in love with her husband at the age of ten and now in her mid twenties, she thinks her life is a dream come true. Her world comes crashing down around her when a knock on the door opens to two policemen. With the news of her husband's plane disappearance over the Atlantic, Rose struggles to survive her grief over the next year. Police officer Royce Sawyer steps in as a much needed friend to Rose. He's there to help pick up the pieces when her husband's body is found in her retaining wall and danger seems to be stalking Rose. Rose faces some hard truths about the man she married and finds herself a suspect in his murder as Sawyer brings her heart back to life. As Rose and Sawyer grow closer the violence escalates all around them and the bodies start falling like flies. The story twists and turns as the author takes you down one winding road to only dead end and send the story off into left field for a tale that will leave your jaw dropped and with a sweet HEA.. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

A new author (for me) to add to my list. An enjoyable mystery and romance that will keep you guessing until the end. Rose Clayton’s husband, Isaac, has died in a small plane crash on his way home to Twisted Rock. She is devastated and doesn’t know how she will recover. Police Officer Royce Sawyer was one of the officers who came to tell her that her husband’s plane was lost in the Atlantic Ocean. Sawyer knows that Rose is struggling to resume her life and continues to help her with the restoration of her home. Overtime, he begins to have feelings for her. Rose is also attracted to Sawyer, but when a body is found in the walls of her home, is she a suspect in the murder? Royce is banned from the investigation as the identity of the body is revealed and others begin to die. Who is the killer and what are their plans for Rose? An intriguing murder mystery with romance between Rose and Sawyer intertwined through the story. I really enjoyed this book and always enjoy finding a new author. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

This was my first time reading this author and I found it quite enjoyable. I am not going to give a book report, others have done a fine job of that , and, the jacket cover gives adequate to information on the subject. Just my thoughts! I first thought it was heading toward a little too much romance and sex rather than mystery, but the more I read, the more intriguing it became. While you may think you are heading for a totally predictable ending, there are a few twists along the way. Not a heavy mystery/thriller, more like a rainy day or pleasant beach read. I will definitely seek this author's works in the future.
I read this book as a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley for an honest review.

Storm coming

When Rose's husband is reported killed in a small plane crash a year ago her life is thrown into turmoil. The police officer Royce Sawyer who came to tell her about the tragedy he goes to keep watch over living in that big house alone.
When bodies start turning up and one of them her supposedly read for a year husband things get weird. Sawyer is there to help her keep sane.
A very enthralling story about new love and family secrets coming to light. A book that is hard to put down even when mother nature calls. I don't know that I have read many of Jill Sanders books but I will be looking for more.
