Rate this book
Sales have changed in the last 30 years. Gone are the days of manipulative and pushy salespeople who rely on charm to get sales. Selling From The Heart is the new economy where relationships matter and old-school techniques just don’t work anymore. Relationships are what will fuel your sales funnel and allow you to reach your sales goals. Social media is a great place to develop those relationships that lead to sales and Larry teaches you how to do in a natural way. Let Larry Levine show you how not to only be yourself, but your best self and succeed!

In this powerful book, Larry Levine challenges modern myths about how to approach buyers and close the sale. He deftly shows you how, in a world suffering from information overload and technology fatigue, sales professionals who demonstrate authenticity and empathy gain an unbeatable competitive edge.
Jeb Blount, CEO SalesGravy.com and Author of Sales EQ

Too many of us (salespeople) look outward for success and in the most brilliant, down to earth way, Selling From The Heart reminds us that our success starts within, not out. In a world of copycats, Larry Levine, with a softness of a benevolent mentor and the disarming approach of Fred Rogers, stresses that we can't win as a copy, but only as an original. "Be YOU!" The best message the sales world has received in a long time.
Keenan, CEO of A Sales Guy

Selling from the Heart is not really a book about sales. It's a book about YOU. This is the ultimate playbook for showing up as yourself, so you can increase your sales.
Deb Calvert, author of DISCOVER Questions® and co-author of Stop Selling & Start Leading

We all have stories? How well are you telling your story? How many are even listening?

In 2014, I was facing the challenge of prospecting for new business in one of the country’s most competitive markets as I secured over $1.3 million in business by integrating the use of social, authenticity and credibility.

I firmly believe in life we all have our “a-ha” moment. The success I had with social has been mine. I have the bumps, bruises and scabby knees to prove it.

I realized I take the greatest enjoyment in life when I give back to others. We live in a technology-driven world but we need to acknowledge the foundations of all we do are still built on human-to-human interaction.

It’s about bringing authenticity, sincerity and substance to the sales profession.

I see a sales world where authenticity, integrity and heart are brought to the forefront.

The time is now to bring our hearts to what we do.

In today’s ever-changing business world, how do you stand out? How do you appeal to customers as buying habits change? Today’s buyer being digitally savvy, is armed with instant access to information on Google and pre-screens reps based on what they find online.

Buyers now can weed out sales professionals via social outlets before they even meet. Sales professionals must position themselves as helpful experts. Being helpful and being seen as an expert fuels your personal brand translating into top of mind awareness.

My promise to you, I’ll share the same tactics and playbook I developed which led to amazing results.

No B.S. No fluff. All heart. Your team will learn why being REAL, RELEVANT and RELATABLE matters

► A heartfelt & human social presence promotes brand awareness
► Integrating social into every phase of the sales and client management process does matter
► Creating authentic client relationships matter
► A relationship funnel fuels the sales funnel
► A personal value framework matters
► Uncovering what clients value matters

With servant leadership, I bring my heart, my spirit, extreme focus, authenticity and dedication; supported by my understanding of what a day in the life of a sales professional is like.

I do this because I care. I do this because it makes a difference.

Don’t let new business go to the competition. My mission is to help your sales team sell more!

Too often Business Books can be regimented or produced to a "cookie cutter" formula. Larry Levine, In "Seling From The Heart" has written from the heart, stacked with experience and case study and stories from his 27 year successful sales career. This is a great book for any salesperson to learn from his experience to take with you into the field.

What a refreshing take on sales today. In my ~20 years in B2B sales in the Silicon Valley I've learned there usually is a glaring gap between the person you are and the person you present to your company and co-workers. The term 'onliness' was coined some time ago but represents the hardships or perceived obstacles when one feels like they're the 'only' in the group (sexual orientation, gender, race, mental illness diagnosis, etc.) There is a fear that bridging that gap may result in losing their job, being spurned by colleagues, feeling embarrassed or ashamed often times resulting in another term coined 'imposter syndrome'. This is when someone acts as an 'imposter' at work as they feel there is a significant gap between profession Darcy and private Darcy and the real Darcy's wiring and true self is far from synchronized with the company mission statement or often times more discouraging is aligned with the company's supposed mission statement but discovers its all just optics and no genuine effort is going towards a work culture or selling style that focuses on you being authentic and realizing that whatever that is, is alright. Authenticity sells but I would warn the reader not all people are as like-able naturally as the author Larry Levine. They may have to exhaust more energy on identifying a job opportunity that will compliment the individual's genuine and authentic self.

Selling From The Heart by Larry Levine is a transformative read for anyone in sales aiming to cultivate authentic relationships and achieve success with integrity. Levine emphasizes the importance of authenticity, urging sales professionals to connect meaningfully with customers instead of relying on outdated tactics. His insights advocate for leading with empathy, honesty, and a customer-first mindset.

The book is packed with practical advice and real-world examples that illustrate how staying true to oneself and one’s clients can lead to lasting success. If you’re looking to move away from conventional sales strategies and want to sell with purpose and heart, this book is essential. I can recommend it for both newcomers and seasoned sales professionals alike.

I loved this book so much. The author Larry Levine’s conversational style of writing had me engaged from beginning to end. Selling from the Heart helped me kick the Imposter Syndrome that plagued me for 3 years and I started a podcast and created my website. I’m happy that this book and it’s personal development content was a game changer for me. I highly recommend it to all who are seeking a genuine and authentic connection both personally and professionally.

I’ve now read (listened) to this audiobook twice. It’s good. But it is NOT an introduction to sales. It assumes you have experience in sales, and is mostly focused on selling products (rather than services or experiences) and I would like to have seen more explanation about how those types of processes may differ.
