Insta-lust, insta-love, insta-commitment

The premise of this book isn't bad, or original - a young woman moves to a new place, finds a new job, and falls for the insanely wealthy boss, who is also smitten with her. It keeps popping up as a plot because, well, because we keep reading it.

The execution of the premise is very rapid-fire, the bulk of the action happening in a day without much development to explain it. The lead female gets a job due to her assets (ahem) as a coat check girl, and her boss falls for her on first sight. There's a bit of action, plenty of fairly graphic sex, and a HEA, with reason to read the next book to see what happens next.

The writing is decent, though it could use a bit more editing. The pacing is far too rapid to be plausible, and the reason for the boss's attraction and instant commitment seems like it won't be enough to last. Fleshed out further, it would be a more interesting read. I would still read more from this author. An example of the writing:

"While I worked out and then showered and ate, my mind considered the possibilities of my clubs. I wanted to open more all over the world. I had themes in mind for each city where I’d open one. Having a sex club on every continent was on my to-do list for the next year. Satisfied with my mental plans, I dressed in an outfit that cost as much as an average car. I wouldn’t know, I’ve never owned an average car."

Starting again

A very short novella that was oh so steamy. It gives you a little glimpse into the world of former religious cult follower and sex club owner. I really hope that in the other books they go way deeper into each characters back stories, and continue on in Lexi journey into finding herself.
Happy reading
