The fourth installment of the best-selling Cherry Blossom Girls series has everything you've come to expect from the series: hot mutants, ridiculous action, meta fiction galore, new powers and new supers!
Cherry Blossom Boy...
Sounds dumb, right? But then again, this whole story has definitely come out of left field, and that was before the media got involved.
If you guessed I’d be painted as a terrorist, framed by my own government, and my newfound infamy would lead to even more books sold and more enemies made, you’d be right.
With my novels flying off the shelves, my story spreading across America, and the Cherry Blossom Girls finally working as a team, I should have been pretty much set. And I would be happily living my life if it weren’t for the fact that we were being hunted, threatened at every turn we make.
But I got an angle this time, something that should level the playing field.
All I can say is that it’s been a long time coming...
Warning: Cherry Blossom Girls 4 contains a harem; gamelit LitRPG humor/stats; violence; telepathic, shifter, teleportation, mimic, vector and vampiric superpowers used for auto theft, mind games, and the exploitation of the general public. This series was inspired by The Tick, Stranger Things, Deadpool, Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions, and the anime Elfen Lied. It's meta fiction at points, but you should know that by now. It also has a fair bit of humor and insight aimed at the gamelit community.

Another stunner in this series from Harmon Cooper.
We meet 'Father' - or Jim, if you wish to be completely correct - and we get some of his story, and what 'Mother' and the other supers are to him. Gideon receives a lovely present from Jim that he can use to help others. Unfortunately Gid is the wickedest man in the world at this point (yes, really!) and Grandfather gets to take his granddaughters out to eat and teaches them good manners (not!). Grandfather is not Jim, by the way. It all makes total sense, honest. Readers are treated to some wonderfully explicit deaths too...
Importantly, the reader gets more of an insight into Gideon himself, and specifically how he feels as a writer. No doubt authors will read these little gems and nod in agreement.
We also get to hear some snippets from 'How Heavy This Axe?' which are laugh out loud funny. I loved the name of Gid's final choice of narrator. I giggled for ages at that. The humour in this book is typical Cooper, and we wouldn't be laughing if we weren't on the same wavelength, would we? But, oh, the ending... :(
Great storyline, well-written, fun, giggletastic, with lots of action and teamwork. Bring on CBG5!
I was given an ecopy which I voluntarily read and honestly reviewed. All opinions are my own.
We could all learn something from Gideon. I'm not talking about how to hook up with hot super powered babes and fight evil, even though he does both of those things. Most of this book is a hilarious piece of fiction that really shouldn't be taken to seriously. But then somewhere in the middle of the book when he is talking to his friends about his thoughts on other other authors copying his books, Gideon starts talking a lot of sense, and I really wanted to quote the whole section all over Facebook, especially when reading about the latest real life author dramas. "The cream rises to the top," and the best books come out ahead. Congratulations to the author of this book: it is another winner! I hope it sells a lot of copies, and I hope people listen to Gideon.
Another good book filled with action (!), drama, super powers, girls, food, a little sex, self-depreciation, humor, and home improvement shows. The series nicely focuses on survival and the oddities and incongruities of being a super-powered group of fugitives, opening many plot possibilities along the way.
It was really nice, by the way, to see how much each of the girls really cared for Gideon after the “teleported” scene. I wouldn’t mind seeing a little more of that, since what the girls are usually thinking is very much hidden.
Definitely a great addition to the series, and definitely recommended.
This series feels like it’s seriously lacking direction and the plot is being stretched out too much across the books. Thankfully they move pretty quickly but what’s the point of that if there are so many filler scenes? Case in point, the overly monotonous parts where Gideon & co. go shopping or eat at a restaurant. I found myself skimming through most of the latter half because it was getting too repetitive. Not to mention the extracts from ‘How Heavy This Axe’, which I found to be very discomforting in their portrayal of transphobia.
Gideon and delightful company are off again to rescue friends and sometimes enemies and put the smackdown on facilities where wayward supers are held, tortured and killed. They long for a more normal life while growing as a team with Gideon''s leadership and powers progressing as well. I like the action, humor and romance. I look forward to the next book.
After the events of Book 3 how is the CBG team goijg to come back from this after being defeated by Mother. Well we search for someone else that can be a game changer, and it will upset the apple cart as suddenly their is hope again. A non stop page turner as our team turn it up a notch and then some. Just bring on book 5 quick
I felt bad that I had waited 2 weeks to purchase this book. After seeing it the first time I was skeptical about how long the momentum would keep. Turns out it's getting better, no slowing down, and no fluff to fill some blanks between meaningful storyline progress. I fucking loved it bro. Keep crankin it out please. Nerds United support fun like this.
This book was fast paced and fun to read. The MC continues to grow and develop into a leader. It is fun reading how he has to come to realise what they are doing may be hurting some. Overall another awesome book in the series.
Mr. Cooper please don’t stop ever you have become one of my top 3 writers. I devour your books like pizza!! Such well written and fast paced I couldn’t put this down. The characters are amazing I want to be Gideon!! Thanks for another great read.
Fantastic book! I loved the jab at the name Harmon. Nice touch. I simply cannot wait for the next book to come out. I love the way you place your stories. A very good read sir.
I love this book from start to finish the characters are well written and informed the Author did a great job with the story can't wait to buy the next book. And buy this book on audible 5 stars.
This book was even better than the last. While the series was slow starting, I am glad to see that it has picked up and really taken off. Really enjoyed this one and can't wait to see how Chloie fleshs out.
Another good addition to the cherry blossom girls repertoire I mean I don't even know why I'm writing a review if ur looking at this book u probably already read the previous ones so tally ho
Harmon continues to drive the CBG storyline, filled with an interesting MC, memorable characters, fun, and action, which keeps the pages flipping long after they should have stopped. Well done
Here we go...another novel from a author that is comfortable in his characters, and his plotlines, giving us a hilarious,sexy,witty,action-filled slice of fiction..LOVED IT!! MORE,PLEASE!!
Superpowered harem heroes. The continuing story of the Cherry Blossom Girls. Interesting story of the growing harem of lovely ladies. (Note: Adult content)
A great continuation of the story with things picking up nicely with a good set up for things to come. Really looking forward to where they seem to be heading next.
