In a devastated post-war planet Earth, a group of cyborg warriors gathered to search the universe for the best place for people to relocate. Some of their clients had some very particular demands. When Kawan Gyeon, a Korean warlord came to visit Ethan Hunter, the cyborgs leader, Ethan knew his demands wouldn’t be like the others. Gyeon wanted to take his people to a planet with no other human settlements, one where he could set the rules himself. So, he hired Ethan and his men to find the perfect place for that. Ethan was the first one to find a planet that satisfied the conditions requested by their client – a planet with water, a perfect atmosphere, fertile soils and ruled by an alien race that had turned the planet into some sort of welcoming grounds for those with no home. The Dreshanians had built several colonies they sold to those people in need that were willing to accept their rules. Apparently, everything looked perfect, but once Ethan started to dig deeper, he found out things weren’t ideal as they seemed. Despite all the problems, Ethan met an alien female that reminded him he was still human, that inside his powerful body there was still a beating heart with very human needs. Neela slid into his heart and now he would have to find a way to keep her in his life.
ETHAN is the first book in the promising Knights of the Future series by T.J. Quinn. Although parts of the story frustrated me I found that I was also was entertained by it.
Ethan's a cyborg unlike any I've read and that's pretty cool. I like it when an author switches up the mythos of something like cyborgs, vampires, or shifters.
One thing that you need to know upfront about the story that the blurb doesn't say is that Neela is a sex slave. Ethan doesn't treat her as one and there are no real troubling scenes but I know it will bother some people.
What I found frustrating about the story is that there was a fight against the Dreshanians that wasn't resolved by the end of the book. I can only hope that it will be addressed in future instalments in the series.
Craig Bowles' narration was really pleasing. His English accent was sexy and soothing at the same time. I'll happily listen to another one of his performances.

🔷️Ethan Hunter is one of the First Cyborgs to ever be created consequently he looked like a cyborg his skin was gray and his eyes were all black. New Cyborgs look just like a humans nobody could tell the difference. After the war that destroyed Earth people were hiring spaceships to go to different galaxies finding other planets to live on. Everything was very scarce on Earth, there wasn't hope of rebuilding. This was the first opportunity for Ethan, after a while he had four ships and cyborgs working flying looking for new planets. Now he had a dirty business man's whose family and worker would be looking for their very own planet. This is where the fun begins he goes to planet after planet finding out things he and his men do not agree on how the planets have colonized. Will Ethan help these colonies?

ARC Received from Author. I also got the book with KU.
This is an interesting and unique story with great world🌍 building and descriptions. Her 📚books are always interesting with much More story to them than most Alpha 👽Alien Adult Romances. This book📑 is science fiction first, then the romance is a part of the story, not the whole story.
A nice, fast paced introduction to a new series where we're introduced to Ethan who is leader of a group of cyborgs who are hired to find plants for inhabitation as Earth is dying out. It is quickly apparent that he has a huge sense of honor - hence the "Knights of the Future". I enjoyed the storyline - knight comes to rescue damsel in distress - although I felt that the ending was rather abrupt. Otherwise, A great afternoon read / listen with a wonderful accented narrator who did a great job on this one!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. *this review is based on the audio version of this read
This is my first book by TJ Quinn and first narration by Craig Bowles. A truly unique take on cyborg romance. This fairly short book managed to pack in quite a bit of world building, intrigue, suspense, and several steamy scenes.
Bowles has a pleasant voice. While I wish there were more differentiating of character’s voices, it was still an enjoyable narration.
I look forward to the next release
I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ethan is the leader of the Cyborgs that are helping families to leave a war ravished Earth. A Korean warlord has hired them to find a planet that they can live on as the only people there. As Cyborg they have a intense idea of what is right and what is wrong. That leads to all kinds if problems on their search. I like this new series.
A very interesting book with a great storyline that was easy to get into. The characters were easy to get to know and care about. I can't wait to read the next book!
My only complaint is now quick she ended the book . Ethan and Neela tell each other they love each other and a few paragraphs later it ends . Other than that I loved the story.
Lovery reading about cyborgs! It has everything you want in a romance with enough adventure, drama, and steamy hot romance with awesome characters? A must buy and so ready to read the next book in the series.
Not even 1 star This is everything but nothing Cyborg. Boring. This author is not for me, Tried both books.. no thanks. I had to skip and skip and I did not read the end, I was bored out of my mind.
Wholly original. Great world building, wonderful plot. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and am excited to see the rest. I received a free review copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review.
I like science fiction and I’m definitely not averse to a bit of sauciness and sizzle so I was looking forward to both combined, but world building, dialogue and character development are all a little on the thin side with this. The sex scenes follow the standard pattern of virgin to sex goddess due to experienced male super performer. There are, however, some laugh out loud highlights to enjoy (my favourite being when Ethan the Cyborg discovers the alien sex slave’s G-spot and she starts to howl!). I had the audio version for this, which made it even funnier when the husband listened in for a bit. The plot is otherwise tried and tested: Enslaved damsel in distress gets rescued by a knight in shining armour, he opens her eyes to true love (and the pleasures of the flesh) and together they plan to overthrow her people’s evil suppressors - only on another planet and with alien sex slaves and cyborgs. It wasn’t really my cup of tea, but I’m sure there’s plenty of genre readers who will love this.
