A serial killer obsessed with recreating old horror movies. A young woman determined to find out who killed her twin. A small town that can’t seem to catch a break.
Whitney Halverson's world is shattered when her sister, Brittany, is found murdered in Summit Lake. Unfortunately, the police have no leads, and the killer is still casting for several roles, including the one her sister didn’t scream quite loud enough for. "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right."
Had potential but turned into a simple story with not a lot of suspense. The police don't seem to be necessary as they don't seem to do much investigating. Found one glaring mistake that bothered me. When Brittany's room was being checked out after she went missing it was found she left her purse, phone and "keys" behind yet her car was seen leaving the cabin. Huh? Run of the mill read.
I thought this book was pretty good as a sequel to Forget Me Not. Good story line and movement through the book. It says that there are 3 items in this series online but I can only find this one and the first one, Forget Me Not. And I have to say there are a lot of typo/grammatical errors in this book which drives me crazy! (I need to be the proofreader for these books) but overall a good read and I like her style or writing so I would read other books of hers.
I personally am a fan of horror movies, and loved the nod to all the horror movies mentioned in the book. Had a great twist, when I got to the chapter to find out who the ‘director’ was after me THINKING I knew who it could be the entire time my mouth fell open! I was shocked! Such a great read I couldn’t put it down!
I'm rarely ever actually shocked in a book, but this one did it to me enough to make me gasp out loud. I thought I had figured out the bad guy like I usually do. But this one had me fooled right up to the end. Well played, Kristen Middleton!
Hear Them Scream says it all. This book is about a psychotic who films women screaming as they are being murdered. Overlooking the errors it is a well written book. If you are into horrors you will enjoy.
A real page turner. Not what I usually read will have to rethink my choices because I enjoyed this one very much. I was thankful the part with the sister wasn’t drawn out with gore
This was a truly awesome read. It was a real page turner. The mix of previous with characters with new ones played out very well. Loved the suspenseful plot and thrilling action.
I love mysteries, especially one that keeps me glued to my kindle, as did this! Twists? Yes! Great characters? Yes! Surprise ending? Definitely! Great read? I want everyone to read it!
