Evan and Quinn’s story is hot, intense, drama and so much more. First that cover is smoking and I totally pictured Evan looking like that. Two people that are opposites but chemistry is sizzling. Will Evan be able to trust ever again or will it all go up in smoke? Definitely a great rockstar read! 5/5 stars

BLOWN AWAY!

Evan's Encore is the fourth book in the Meltdown series. Finally the book I've been anticipating the most throughout this series is HERE!!!!

About Evan's Encore:

We've watched Grant, Nash, and Chaz all find love.... Now it's time for Evan's turn to find his true love!

Evan Walker has been dealt a shit hand. He turned his back on his family for his wife and now has recently come to the conclusion that said wife is nothing but a manipulative bitch and everything his family was warning him about is in fact true. Now Evan finds himself renting a room at Quinn Kinley's house in order to get away from it all.

Quinn Kinley is about to be introduced to fate at its finest in the form of Evan Walker. When her only relationship ended badly years ago, she swore off letting her heart get involved. Soon Quinn is unable to stop herself from slowly falling head over heels for Evan.

When Evan's past and Quinn's present merge all bets are off the table and their love will be put to the ultimate test.

My Thoughts:

I can't even begin to describe how much I love the Meltdown series, but in the back of my mind I was always curious about one person and his story. Of course that person being Evan Walker. I have to say, Evan's story was the most intriguing to me. I was absolutely heartbroken by the shit hand this man was dealt.

I had a feeling before diving into this novel that it would be heartbreaking and mysterious. But damn, I didn't expect to get so freaking swept away with the web of lies and betrayal weaved through this novel. My hatred for Mandy literally grew by the second.... she's such a vindictive liar!

I absolutely adored Quinn and Evan's friendship. I loved how much of a stand up guy Evan was throughout this novel. This man is definitely one of the good ones! However, I felt towards the end this novel became a tad bit predictable. Which in the end made me drop half a star. I loved how everything came together though.

Overall, Evan's Encore is a slow build romance built around loads of sexual tension and heart stopping moments! I literally couldn't put my kindle down! I freaking loved Evan's story!

Evan’s Encore by RB Hilliard a five-star read that will blow you away. This is the forth book in the Meltdown series and I am loud and proud to be a Meltie, this could be a stand-alone but I would whole heartedly recommend you read the series as its filled with sublime characters and you will meet them in this book and need to go and find their stories and you will already know the conclusions, that being said I would love to hear more about Bobby and Tut they may not be in Meltdown but I feel they have more to tell me, the love and honour they have shown Evan just blew me away. Quinn Kinley or Country as she is lovingly known is a great character and she handles herself a lot better than I would in many of the situations she comes across in this amazing story. RB Hilliard has a way of weaving words that mean you can feel yourself swinging along as the boys sing and smell the smoke in the background. Thank you RB for being amazing.

When you least expect it, life changes for the better, regardless of where in life you are standing!
What an amazing story to end this wonderful series.
Evan had a hard life, nine years of misery that he battles daily to make right.
Quinn had a fairytale life until the day that Cancer took her Best Friend.
What a quandary they find themselves in. Fascinating characters that meet even more fascinating characters whose lives intertwine in the most fabulous of circumstances!
I love this book, though I hate to see this series end. It is a bit different from the other books in this series, but just as good. Finding your path in life is never easy, especially when someone in your life is not helping you, but hindering everything you try to do, or sabotages your life to begin with.
Join Evan as his story fills in some of the gaps we have read in other books in this series.
Well written HEA.

This book was amazing. So much drama with some funny parts that made me laugh as well. Loved how down to earth Quinn was, and how she didn’t put up with crap. The way they first met had me rolling. So many twist and turns with every chapter, I was so glad when Evan finally learned everything was able to put the wicked witch behind him. I think his ex should have gotten more against in law. I think he should have gotten her for stealing his money but I also knew he didn’t need drama brought on the band with what they had already gone through. Was very excited when Quinn and Evan made up and started there happy ever after, they made such a great couple. Great book just like the others, could not put it down till it was finished.

I'm so in love with this series it's not funny! I'm really sad it's at an end.

Evan was late joining Meltdown but you always got this happy vibe off him. Little did we know about his home life but the little bits we got you knew his happy was a facade.

His life has fell apart and he doesn't want anyone to know about it. The band are taking a break and after one tour Evan is gutted. He doesn't want his band mates knowing whats going on as they all have their own problems to deal with. He confides a little to his brother Ehran but he just needs some time. He heads out to the only place he can and takes up the offer of a house share with a woman he barely knows but who caught his attention from the get go. Quinn.

Quinn runs her late fathers bar which is pretty much her life. Her mother left town after her fathers death so it's all she has. With her best friend working with her she's reasonably happy though. Then one night Evan enters her bar. He's rude to her but his eyes draw her in. He later apologizes and he opens up something inside her. Her life spills from her lips when shes usually very guarded. Somehow she ends up offering him a place to stay and when he accepts she's not sure she's done the right thing.

Evan moves in just as his problems come to a head. She finds herself falling for a man she shouldn't. He finds himself more and more enamored with Quinn and decides once his life is sorted he's coming for her. But of course it's not that easy. Quinn finds herself caught up in his ex's lies. Evan needs to find out the truth of his 9 year marriage before he can move on. They both find themselves trying to dodge lies while they try to build a friendship. Can the lies tear them apart or can the connection they have pull them through to the happy ending they both deserve.

Be still my heart!!! I bloody love these two so much!!

Evan has always had a little piece of my heart. He's funny and kind and just a decent guy. He's also humble. His talent is obvious but he's a little insecure about it and this made me fall for him all the more.

Quinn is just beautiful. I loved her soul and the way she is with people even when they're being mean to her she just answers them with a smile. Her euphemisms they were so funny i found myself waiting for the next one to pop out of her mouth!!!

The two of them together made my heart soar!! They were so sweet. Both of them skating around each other until they couldn't stand it anymore. Once the green flag was waved all bets were off! Their chemistry was amazing! You could actually feel their connection as though it was yours.

The storyline was brilliant. I mean a divorce isn't that great of a tale but the spin this author put on it and the complicated web that was unraveled was brilliant!! Kudos to the author for thinking it up and connecting the dots! That seriously couldn't have been easy! I was gripped. I couldn't see what was going to happen and it played out perfectly.

I loved seeing the rest of the band again especially Chaz!! He just seriously makes me smile. I also really liked Quinn's best friends.

Evan's ex actually made my blood boil. The things that went on and the manipulation she pulled on him i seriously wished she were real so i could tear her a new one!! Grrrrrr she honestly made me furious. But, i love that! It shows the talent of an author if they can make you feel this for the bad guy while simultaneously making you fall in love with the leads.

This whole series has been brilliant and i highly recommend them all. Each main character will take a piece of your heart with them. LOVE!!!!!

Oh sweet mother of mine... What can I do?? How can I slow down my readings when my favorite authors have new books coming out? I can't and I won't.
RB Hilliard is the bomb. She's amazing and her books are to die for. Each book has a message that will melt your hearts.
Have you read any of her books? If you have, you know why I'm saying this but if you haven't, I advise you to do so. In this particular case you should read Meltdown series first. Read Fractured Beat, Broken Lyric, Shattered Rhythm and then this new one.
Evan's Encore is her latest release and tells the stories of Evan and Quinn.
Evan is the new keyboardist for Meltdown and a very good at doing his job. He had it all, fame, friends, family and a wife... Or so he thought. When the band decided to take a break...
Quinn had a beautiful life until she lost a part of herself and her mother decided to move to another town. Now she's alone and needs help. She needs to be able to run her bar and to pay her bills so...
So good. So so good.
Perfect plot, superb writing, super engaging and intense. Each scene were meticulously described and made me feel like I was inside the story.
Once I started to read it I couldn't put it down because things were happening and I needed to know more.
This book presented us with love, loyalty, friendship, dreams as well as heartache, betrayal, deceive and drama.
Sometimes we must see past the nightmares to find the blue sky and true happiness. Things always happen for a reason, the challenge is to fight the odds and conquer all battles.
Believe in you, believe in live and all pieces of the puzzle will fit.
RB... You rock woman. This book is perfect and made this series even more amazing. It was fantastic to have news from the other characters from the previous books but I'm sad. Sad because it's over... But knowing you, I can be sure that another masterpiece is being created. Can't wait.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I was so hoping that Evan would get his own book, I felt like he deserved a happy ending just as much as the rest of the members of Meltdown.

As always this book has the perfect combination of action, mystery, and romance. What I really appreciated was how R.B. approached getting Evan and Quinn together. I liked that you understood there was an attraction between them but that they chose to not act on it because Evan was still married. This factor was just as crucial to Evan (even more so) as it was to Quinn, she didn't want to be the other woman, and he didn't want his past to tarnish the future he saw with her. The book also provides flashbacks, so you know they aren't just meeting and hooking up (it took them almost a year to get where they are by the end of the book). Also, the slow burn factor left me scorched. I loved that their chemistry is apparent even in the little details/nuances; sometimes a look can hold more weight than any words known to humankind.

And this wouldn't be an R.B. book if she didn't leave you with a teaser of the next character to get their book. (I am looking forward to her next series!)

All in all this book was exceptional, and while I am sad that this series is over...I am happy because now I can binge the Meltdown series without any of the pain of waiting for the next book to be released.

First if you haven’t read the rest of the Meltdown series I highly suggest you do so. You will not regret it.

Evan and Quinn....where to start? He’s a seriously hot, sexy, talented rockstar....who wouldn’t love that right? But there’s more, he’s genuine and loyal and he’s just found out the last decade of his life has been a lie...What?!!

Enter Quinn, beautiful, intelligent independent outspoken country girl, hard working bar owner, loving daughter and loyal friend... Shes just met the most beautiful green eyes she’s ever seen and he’s complaining about the sticky table....?

I want to say so much more about this story, about the crazy ex, about the friend who becomes more than a friend, about the humor, the struggles and of course the sizzle (lots of sizzle) but that would ruin it for you. So I will say that this story had all the things I love about RB Hilliard’s books. She’s got strong intelligent women, extremely sexy equally strong men and villains you love to hate. She also keeps you guessing about what’s going to happen next as the layers of the story unfold.

This is the last book in this series and I don’t think my review will do it justice but the entire series from beginning to end was incredible and this book as sad as I am for it to be the end might have been the best one yet.
Best read ever.

Sweet bejeebers *sigh* We've watched Evan struggle with his marriage and his wife throughout the entire series. We know from the previous books that he auditioned for and accepted the gig with Meltdown without talking to his wife, hoping but not thinking he would be offered the position as keyboardist for Meltdown. He's been calm, quiet and true to his marriage vows throughout the entire tour. But things are coming to a head.
Quinn owns Mallory's bar, at least now that her daddy passed away. She a full on country girl. When Evan and his brother come into the bar, Quinn has no idea who they are. Just someone who was complaining about the dirty tables on a night when the bar was slammed and down a waitress.
What unfolds is beyond the imagination but perfectly aligns with the drama that seems to have followed all the members of the band.
This storyline is without exception one of the best band stories I've read with plots and characters that will give and keep you emotionally invested. This has been a sexy, emotionally charged rollercoaster that I will be sure to visit many more times.

Hands down my favorite of this series. My heart ached for Evan in previous books and I so wanted to see him get his HEA! R.B. Hilliard did not disappoint there. Evan and Quinn have such an amazing story. Full of so much heart and emotion the connection they have is both electric and sweet, building from a friendship into a deep love that will win your heart.
Evan has had me intrigued for quite some time thanks to previous books. The nightmare that was his marriage then is nothing compared to the truth of it we see in his book. The amount of suffering his ex puts him through is heartbreaking, but the twists and turns that come to light in this book will have your jaw dropping! Quinn is the complete opposite of his ex. Smart, sassy, and independent with a generous heart she was easy to love.
The pull between these two is instant with sparks flying from the moment they meet. Those sparks quickly grow into a sweet friendship the more time they spend together and from there these two fall hard and fast even if they try to hold back while Evan rebuilds his life.

First, I would like to thank R.B.Hilliard for a very enjoyable Rock Star Series featuring Meltdown, if you haven't read them - get going.
Second, Thank you R.B.Hilliard for putting this delicious man on the cover, who looks EXACTLY as Evan is described - Might not be an issue for most - but it has been for me for awhile, especially when I start believing no one on covers is a better choice than someone not even close to looking like the characters within, but I digress.
Evan's Encore is a truly satisfying end and as Evan states, a new beginning, Quinn was perfect for him. I loved her down home off the wall "country" sayings and her real woman feel. Poor Evan, when you find out what his life was, you can't help but feel for him. I will admit to having an issue with the amount of past musings there were, while necessary, I just wanted more of the here and now. To be honest though Chaz wasthisclose to stealing the spotlight for me OMG I am afraid I will never be able to look at a mushroom (or a baby) the same way again. LOL
I hate saying goodbye to this bunch, thanks for the ride.

First lets talk about the cover - OMG I love it. Those eyes and tattoos .... yummy!

This was a great read. There is romance, humor and a bit of suspense. RB Hilliard certainly sent this series out on a high note and chart topper! Evan and Quinn couldn't forget each other from the first time they met and certainly never imagined that they would one day be roomies. But that's what happened and how they got to that point and beyond is a very entertaining journey. I was especially tickled with the fact that I knew some of the songs mentioned! For most this will be a 5 star read and the only reason it wasn't for me was because some of the story "flashbacks" in the beginning actually took me out of the story a bit.

Overall I would highly recommend this book and series to anyone!

Wonderful book!

You read about Evan in this series. You saw his heartache throughout the series, but he deserved happiness like the rest of the guys in the band.

Quinn was the sunshine that Evan needed in his life. Their lives had crossed paths before, but Evan was busy with the band and his wife Mandy.

When Meltdown concluded their tour Evan wanted to work on his marriage, so he tried his hardest to see if the marriage was worth saving. Mandy had another plan all together.

In this book you see what Evan wants in his life and how he wants to be happy with his life, a new relationship that may happen with Quinn and the band mates/friends of Meltdown. I glad to see Evan get his happy ending.

Oh Evan and Quinn are sizzling off the pages. They may be opposites but that does not subdue the chemistry that they posses. Evan is a talented musician but has been living a life of hell for nine years. A manipulative wife that has tried to take him for a ride for the last time. He is out on his own and not looking for love but what happens when that spark is there with someone so unexpected.
Quinn she was enjoying life until cancer took away her best friend now she is just existing until he walks into her world.
They are sweet, sexy, broken and so good together!

This was an amazing ending to a phenomenal series!
I loved Evan and Quinn so much. Since the very beginning of the series Even was kind of a mystery and RB left you wondering through the first 3 books what his story was. She could not have done a better job giving it to us!
Quinn is one of my favorite female leads by RB also, she was funny, strong, loving and a perfect match for Evan!
I highly recommend this book to everyone!!

This is an amazing, page turning, bite my nails, wipe away tears, fan away the heat, gripping story of Evan and Quinn. He has been betrayed and wants a true connection and she is strong, dealing with loss and what life is like now. I felt connected to both of them immediately. I loved the story, even though it's a bittersweet time, closing out the Meltdown guys. An absolute must read.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

These Meltdown boys really know how to be dicks and then pure sweethearts the next breath. Evan deserved to get his happy ending like everyone else and finally understand love and passion. He gets twisted and pulled in every direction to get his happy ending but it makes you fall in love with Evan and Quinn during the ride. Great conclusion to the series and I'm sad to see it end. I highly recommend this series to everyone!

I'm so sad that Evan's books is the end of the Meltdown series. But it didn't feel like the ending of the Meltdown to me it more felt like a new start for them, a better start. I feel in love with Evan and Quinn's story. Nothing stopped them from their happy every after, and I love Evan more to sticking to his vows the way he did. Can't wait to see wait Hilliard has in store for us now that the series is over. But I hope we get to see the men and woman from Meltdown again..

I’m so sad that this is the last meltdown book, but R.B. Hilliard did not disappoint!! This book was glued to my hands from start to finish. She has a way of writing that just keeps you engrossed in the story that you don’t want to stop.

Evan and Quinn’s story was a little bit of rockstar, a lot of mystery, some off the charts chemistry, and enough drama to keep on the edge of you seat till you know what happens next. I can not wait to see what she comes up with next.

So a couple things that are amazing about this book.
umm hello just look at that cover!! Yummy!! They say don’t judge a book by its cover but in this case go ahead because the story is as amazing as the cover!
Then you have RB herself making you fall in love with another man. But not only him she brings in bobby and Tut and makes you need their story’s.

I devoured this book and can’t say enough good about it!! Really just read it for yourself.

OMG the boys of Meltdown are back with (swoon) Evan being the lead in this CRAZY tale. Quinn is our heroine who knows how to bring on heart. Umm Evan and Quinn definitely know how to heat things up with some extra spicy (wink wink). Even though this is a Rockstar tale, I love the integrity of this band. If you want to experience an evil villain, well you will NOT be disappointed (yikes). I didn’t know a character could raise my blood pressure so much. Love the telling of this story with all its twists and turns. Surprises keep occurring as all continues to be revealed. Ugh you won’t want to put this book down. Happy Reading!

Love love love that this book has a Playlist.

Rock Star and Country...god I love them!

Let me start off by saying I am so glad we got Evan’s story from R.B. Hilliard. In the previous books my heart broke for him and Mama bear wanted to come out and harm someone who will remain nameless. Even when Evan didn’t think he belonged my heart cheered for him to open his eyes.

Evan’s Encore is full of rock star antics. It is sweet, funny and suspenseful all rolled in to one amazing book. I just loved this book from the beginning until the end. Family isn’t necessarily all about blood - The men of Meltdown are true brothers at heart and have each other’s back through thick and thin.

You know a book is good when you can relate to the characters within the story and laugh at there silliness. My favorite parts of the book involved Quinn and her confident but reserved self. She gave just as much as she got. Quinn was just as much what Evan needed as he was for her. As different as they were at the end of the day it was what each needed.

I am so sad to see the Meltdown Series end but it couldn’t have gone out with a bigger bang then this book.

P.S. I think my heart still lies with Chaz though!

What is better than a hot rock star? How about a rock star with a country heart? If you have been waiting for Evan's book, you will not be disappointed. What a fabulous ending to a fabulous series. While this one didn't shock me as much as the others in the series, there were still twists and turns, and it was perfect for Evan and Quinn. And as much as I love reading about rock stars, I loved that country Quinn brings out the country in Evan. The musical references in the book are from some of my favorite songs and they will now be tied forever to Evan and Quinn. Bravo to RB Hilliard for another great series.

I have to say that I am a bit disappointed that this is the final novel for the series. I love these characters. I would love to continue to read about them. But I can also see why the series is over. Come on, how much can possibly happen to these guys! They have already endured so much. Why write another novel where they are all just blissfully happy. Honestly, that's just boring. Evan ending the series is perfect. Evan's gorgeous green eyes...totally swoon worthy.

Evan Walker is the new keyboardist in Meltdown. He was officially invited to join the band after he helped Meltdown out after their previous keyboardist was killed by their lead guitarist. The band needed to complete a short three month tour for publicity. Evan's wife of nine years was furious that he joined the band even after he bought her a new Porsche and a McMansion of a house. His sister and brother tried to tell him that his wife was cheating on him, but he didn't want to listen. He didn't listen when a previous band mate told him the same thing months later. But he had to be sure, he had LASH, a private security company that the band uses look into it. They found that his wife, Mandy was not only cheating on him but was didn't actually work at the pharmaceutical company she told him. That most of their marriage has been riddled with lie after lie.

Evan moves in with the country bar owner of Margo's, Quinn.

Quinn Kinley is the owner of Margo's--the bar her father started and one of the two things she has left of him. Her mother sold her childhood home to her a few months ago. Now, her mother lives in Florida with her best friend. Margo's and her home are the two things she loves the most in life.

Margo's is her life. With her manager, Alex-Ann who keeps having an on/off relationship with her boyfriend Baxter. Baxter, who finally leave Alex-Ann for Amanda--a stuck up bitch that they both hate. But that doesn't stop Baxter and Amanda from coming into the bar. At first, the two friends thought Baxter did it as revenge to Alex-Ann. They thought that perhaps Baxter's new relationship and the couple frequenting the bar is something more.

Margo's is also where she meets the gorgeous Evan Walker. Quinn didn't recognize him right away--she's a country girl through and through. But who doesn't know Meltdown even if you don't listen to rock. That band is incredible. So is the tatted up man sitting in her bar. He comes back a few more times without his younger brother.

He tells her that he's getting a divorce --she offers him a place to live.

Quinn is the complete opposite of Mandy. She has curves that go for days. That sassy mouth. She has a comeback for everything. Even when his bitch soon-to-be-ex breaks into their newly shared house, Quinn helps him deal with everything. Evan is devastated when his most  prized possession--his baby piano and recording equipment are destroyed. And the first guitar he was ever given. All of his music equipment is destroyed. The only rooms that were touched were the music equipment in the pool house, his bedroom, and the living room. Nothing is stolen. Mandy did it. He knows it. But can't prove it. He just wants Mandy out of his life for good. He wants Quinn. But he won't come after her until he has Mandy out of his life.

Mandy does sever damage to Evan's emotions. The more LASH investigates Mandy, the more questions Evan has. Was anything about his life for the past nine years true? He feels like he has wasted a part of his life with the wrong person. Why does Mandy have so many marriage certificates in these boxes? Who is Mandy? Why would she target him like this? Why didn't Quinn tell him that she knows Mandy?

But will Quinn still want him after how he treated her after finding out that Quinn knew Mandy? What will Quinn do since something happened to Margo's? Will she rebuild it? Or will she build a new life with Evan?

First off, I have to say I drooled over the cover so hard! I was pretty stoked that Ms. Hilliard put the model's name in the first few pages so I could stalk him more easily! Bahaha! Seriously though, I freaking love the cover and I love that he is so totally Evan!

Evan was always a bit mysterious. If you've read the previous books in this series, you know he's a good guy and he's had marital problems. Well, when we finally hear Evan's story, it's pretty freaking crazy! What's up with all these Rockstars attracting the cray cray's? I mean, just saying... this chick was nuts. Nuttier than a porta-potty at a peanut festival! Oh my god that had me cracking the hell up!
For serious tho-this story had some mad drama, and mystery wrapped up like a pretzel!

Quinn, was pretty awesome. Rowan is one of my favorites, but I dunno, I think Quinn may have knocked her down a peg. Evan is definitely my new fave, and I'm so glad that D-bag Chaz and sweet Olivia were in this as well. This one was more of a slow-burn because both Quinn and Evan want to do right, and freaking kudos to them, because their attraction was hotter than a Georgia whore house on dollar day!! LOL I couldn't resist. Some of the things out of Quinn's mouth were epic and so needed repeating! She had so many sayings, I'm mad I didn't highlight them all from the beginning. She was hella funny!

Evan just kept getting hit with all sorts of new info and dude held it together like a champ. I was actually like, what in the ever-loving h-e-double hockey sticks, when everything finally unfolded and the truth came out. It was definitely a bit different from the other 3 books, but I really enjoyed the change of pace in this one and I love that whole, mystery/drama mode that this author sticks to in this series. She's definitely a great storyteller and weaves some crazy webs! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next! Such an awesome series and perfect when you're craving a Rocker/drama/mystery/hella hawt book. I've read one other book outside of this series by this author, and have yet to be disappointed. Keep on keeping on, I'll be sitting here waiting...and thinking about some imperial dictatorial king dong. HAHA! Epic
