This book was written to share some of the historic references as pertains to my novel, “Watch Waltham Watch.” It is by no means meant to be a detailed history tome, or a comprehensive collection of all the research I dedicated myself to when creating my imaginary world. I wrote it in the hopes that sharing it would arouse curiosity into further historic investigation, and to express my absolute delight in learning for myself.
Jessica Lucci writes about modern issues while maintaining historic integrity. She is the winner of the IHIBRP 5 Star Award, and received Honorable Mention for the LesFic Bard Book Awards 2019. She makes her home in Massachusetts, USA, where she is currently writing a historical fiction love triangle.
A wonderful book for Lucci addicts. Ms Lucci gives fascinating descriptions of the clothing, food, transport, etiquette, interior design, people and technology in her book Waltham City: Waltham Watch. From fire breathers to falconers, in her ‘robotic, steam-powered, Gothically fanciful realm,’ details that we might have missed are picked out and explained. Having read this book, the only possible thing to do is to re-read Waltham Watch and Subton Switch, this time with extra insight.
