Justin “Jigga” Martelle is the big man on campus. He’s handsome, talented, and NFL bound, so being tied down to one chick is the last thing on his mind. Daisie Brown comes along and makes him see things differently with little effort. Suddenly, he doesn’t mind turning in his players card. But you know what they say, old habits die hard. Jigga realizes that the he may not be strong enough to handle the temptation the moment he’s drafted to an NFL team.
3.75 I have enjoyed reading about these college-aged couples, especially since it dates back to when I was in college. These two here though were definitely flawed.
Initial thoughts:
* This started off strong, but I got over it quick. All of the back and forth had me dizzy. Then toward the end. —One, when they first had sex, are we just going skip over Jigga throwing out a condom when she consented to PROTECTED sex. * This man put his hands on Daisie for accidentally getting pregnant after HE wanted to break up so he can THOT. Ok… * Daisie being Daisie… Jatavious… the ultimate Bummmmm * I didn’t really know I like either of them but it’s been keeping me entertained while I get my new apartment done

So far each of these couples in the books I’ve read so far are toxic af!
But Jigga and Daisie may be the most toxic so far. Not only was intentionally manipulating her, but he actually hit her. I didn’t like that was never addressed properly.
I feel like Daisie made it so easy for him. No matter how long it had been, she never made him really work for her. This was just a messy/ toxic/ completely unhealthy situation.
No one was making good decisions. But for this to be romance, the only thing they had going was him buying her things and sex. Everything else was manipulation, threats, abuse, and more sex.
Not romance. But nevertheless, I’m enjoying reading how toxic these couples are. I’m just going to need something sugary sweet to balance out all of this ridiculousness.
Coming from reading "all we have" and "Nola"this was another curve and a different course, hence this was good!!! Justin"Jigga" oldest brother and an overall nice guy but outside forces pushes him to see a different path to be taken. Handsome, smart, alpha, he was a bae in this book in intervals until he let his emotions take over. Daisie is the down to earth girl that has dreams and intelligence to back it up. Independent, loyal, and smart, she is the epitome hood chick meet with bougie chick. Best combo ever if you know when to bring one out and tame the other. This was a cute story but with not too much substance and education that you can return home with but being it is a fiction perfect book, it was enough for the purpose of this idea. There wasn't really no drama except for Jatavius and no backstabbing person except for Trina. The girls friendship was the bomb and the perfect BFF for anyone.
Daisie is probably my favorite out of the girl group so far. She was so authentic and honest. She spoke her mind and just didn’t gaf. Jigga was cool too. I liked his personality but at times he was bit bratty.
Jigga pissed me off because he let temptation get a hold of him. Daisie pissed me off too. As a woman you suppose to carry some type of defensive object with you cause you just never know.
Jatavius was sick. I saw it once he started to get clingy. A man that can’t take rejection I wouldn’t want any dealings with.
I’m loving this family. I’m ready to see what’s next with Julian and Felisha cause they are a mystery to me and seem so unproblematic.
What a great read. Jigga is a very close behind Bengi as being my favorite book bae. Lol. That paternity test laaaawd that was everything! I so loved Daisie and jiggas mamas relationship. I also loved how Daisie and BRI was able to get along like grown women that was a shock because at first I just knew it was going to be some drama there but it wasn't! I'm seriously wanting milla to get pregnant... I really hope that u do a reunion book or maybe a Christmas holiday book with these couples. I absolutely lived how everyone stayed down and close! Great job!
Daisie and Jigga are my number 2 favorite couple out of Keem and Milla and Juri and Benji
At times, Jigga pissed me off because he wanted do his own thing but disliked it when Daisie flipped it back on him. Daisie was wrong for going between Jatavious and Jigga but that's only because Jigga wasnt man enough to say he needed his freedom. Thank God everything worked out in the process plus I loved the updates on Milla, Keem, Juri, Benji and the rest of the family. Hopefully we will get one in the future of everyone (fingers crossed)!!
Every story is better than the last with the Martelles. Daisie and Jigga were definitely soul mates that weathered a years long storm. Jatavious deserved everything he got. He had me seeing red so many times. How he have people jump a pregnant woman?? And how was he complaining about Daisie not leaving his mama no money when she babysat?? He looked like a real B!! But the icing on the cake was when his people mistreated Justice. I don't blame Daisie for racing over there and kicking their tails.
I have yet to be disappointed by Cion Lee🔥 once I started reading I couldn’t stop. I loved the connection between Daisie and Jigga. They went through a lot with each other, I’m glad that Daisie had the friends she had. They all had bomb friendships, and I loved how Jenesha likes Daisie and had her back no matter what. I knew Jatavius wasn’t gone be about 💩 Glad everything worked out in the end.
it was soo good , o wish there was an book two though but overall the book was amazing , I loved the LOVE that justin and daisie had I only wish for that .. they were so cute also .💕
It was Amazing and I consider you making another book it would be great I chose this rating because like I said it was amazing . there wasnt anything I disliked so great job Cion Lee you're books are always so good .❤
I’m really late reading this book but Jigga & Daisie were enjoyable. Now that I think about it, each book I read (& sometimes reread), it reminds me of my own relationship w/ my man. The characters from the books I’ve read overcame so much trauma & their relationships were also tested. There are certain situations I relate to and see myself in because I’ve gone through it.
So much to say. Jigga is a hot mess! But he definitely redeemed himself. I was ready to wrote him off but he definitely came through and lived up to the hype. I love Jigga and Daisie together.i honestly wouldn't mind reading more about them. The character development and flow of these stories is out of this world. I can't believe that several books carrying the same timeframes can really hold my attention like this.
Little Jigga all grown up and falling in love with a woman just like his mom. I loved this story and especially the part where he revealed he wanted something different than the streets . He was destined for the NFL . I loved how Cion showed how his life could have ended if Jigga wasn't disciplined via Jatavius's story. I'm glad they had their happily ever after. Looking forward to updates in future books starring others .
I love that Jigga and Daisie finally got it all the together. I was hoping for Justice to be his so bad, when they finally find out the truth I was to hyped. Camilla and Keem really have to figure out what the want to do he really want a baby let's hope he doesn't go out and make one. Love that Brielle wasn't a bitter bm mama from hell.
I love the Martelle’s I know you said you was putting them to rest Cion but come on we need more of them like Jamaya what she doing...Daisie and Jiggs wedding like what the bachelorette and bachelor party was like...Did Jenesha find love again.....Johan and Keiko....did Mimi give Keem a baby cousin we need answer.... #fbname NeshaBee 👀👀
Oh my goodness Jigga and Daisie started off strong then they became my worst headache and had me stressed out but the recovery was strong and they were perfect...I don’t know if Benji and Juri sent me through so many emotions but I love me some Jigga and Daisie... This book was definitely an five star read all the way from beginning to end
I must say I am loving this author. I believe I have several more books to read but so far so good. Jigga and Daisie what a pair college sweethearts. You follow the ups and downs of these two. Who are madly in love through the twists and turns that life take them through. Only for them to end up where they're supposed to be with each other.
Jigga’s story is much tamer than Julian’s,which says a lot. Although I’m not a fan of the college love story,Ms.Lee does a great job with these characters. Every storyline does not have to have a drug/stripper background ,I love how the female characters have viable career options, along with their male counterparts.
These two were so toxic at some points but still very entertaining. I admired Daisie for her attempts to move on after Jigga let her down instead of holding on just because he had made it. Though I was disappointed in Jigga for being tempted by all the women chasing him after he got signed , I respected the fact that he was able to let her go when he realised he couldn't be faithful
I do love this family they stood by Day she even when Nigga was in his feelings. These two love story wasn't perfect but it was real. Another 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 banger from author Cion Lee.
I didn’t like it. It seems as if I was reading a book about a bunch of teenagers the characters were waaaaay to immature for me. She should’ve edited the book better it was quite a few grammar mistakes
This book was amazing from beginning to end. I love how Jigga didn't want to give up on Daisy. I love how Daisy matured also. Don't wanna to give up spoiler so get into this book ladies and men. Fantastic job Cion! Keep them coming ma'am.
I’m so proud of Author Cion she has really grown into a awesome writer!!!! This book is awesome and she tells you about NOLA effortlessly and the couples love be story all at the same time❤️
As usual I love this family! Very good read! The characters make you fall in love with them and the plot was well written. I even enjoyed the little twist! Can’t wait to read more from you!
I love how Jigga & Daisie love each other. Even when they broke up the love was still there. They were truly soulmates! I can't wait to read about the next couple.
Read all night till my eyes closed. Just couldn’t put it down even though there was grammar issues it didn’t take away from the love jigga and daisy have for each other. Going to check out more from this author . Love these characters
The book was good from start to finish. I knew Justice was Jigga's daughter. I'm glad they got their happy ending. Great book, second book I read by Cion Lee and I loved them both. Great author!!!!!
This book is so good!! Throughout the whole book you see the love that Daisie has for jigga even though he played hard. The struggle to love her was all worth it in the end. This was such a good read you can't help but want more.
This was an ok read. All the women in these books seemed like weak women. The men just treated them bad and they just accepted it. Although But I was soft, she have it right back. Now her and Diasie were more harder then Camilla. Also the older women, they was some Bosses.
