At the cafe, Elektra finishes a glass of wine and asks for the check. She overhears two people on a date talking about Buddy Crawford she gets up to spike a drink. The man comes back and drinks it and dies. She leaves the cafe to see the black cat guiding her once again. This time to a seat with her name on it. She pulls out her swords. The man says you can’t kill someone who is already dead. It’s Black Cat Buddy Crawford. He knows that she was dead before, he saw it with his own eyes because they died around the same time. He saw her disappear and wanted answers. Elektra sees ninjas coming but Crawford says they can’t see them because they are in an in between place. They haven’t gotten his vibe down yet so they can’t find him. He figured out how to make it there. He says he’s hiring her to kill his son. Lyle Crawford, star basketball player who is adored by everyone. The hand is working to make him their next spokesperson. Elektra says the hand is no longer a thing but he assures her it is and that they just are wear right now and can’t do anything. They are working together to get more power. Lyle is going to be the puppet. Suddenly the cat hisses and Crawford says they finally found the vibe. She says she will deal with them but he says not now and uses his horn to blow her back to regular life. The man she killed was pronounced dead of a heart attack. It was Carlo Sapporito, a professor who had been making groundbreaking discoveries related to present day Japanese ninja cults. She makes it to the hotel to get her thank you. She goes to kill the man but he disappears and says she’s seeing things. She looks at the TV to see Lyle announcing his run for congress after a big win. She realizes the man next to him is Takashi and he’s a shape shifting ninja.
