Excellent collection of well-written, sexy stories.

Sometimes a girl just wants a good dose of smut and in that regard, this book certainly delivers. All of the stories in this collection feature men just wanting to get their rocks off, sometimes there was more than lust involved, but in other offerings it was just a pair of guys looking for a good time. While I would normally break down all of the stories listed, in this case there isn’t really any way to do that adequately; all of the stories are short and pretty much to the point. The great thing about that is that if you’re just looking for a small dose of m/m sex, you can pick and choose your story; these area also great for someone who doesn’t have a lot of time to read as each story was a fairly quick read through.
While most of the stories in this collection can be labeled as Contemporary, there are a few Paranormal, Sci-fi and Western scattered throughout the book which made for a nice break when things began to feel a little monotonous. I liked the stories overall (pretty much all of them were rated a solid 3), but there were a couple I rated a little higher and a couple others I rated a little lower. (That’s mostly character/situation preference rather than overall writing or sex rating) *shrugs* It was an interesting read and I don’t regret picking it up but there weren’t enough stories that make me want to read the entire collection again. Still, if you’re looking for some quick reads with lots of sexy men this might be worth looking for. Individual authors and stories are listed below with the ratings.

I liked half of the short stories in this book, it was particularly mixed.
I didn’t really find the stories that interesting or imaginative.
There was the odd one where I thought the story could continue further.

I read this book last year, and I have now read it again.
Although I agree with what I said last year I believe I was quite harsh or possibly I didn’t enjoy it at that time for some reason?
This time around I did enjoy this book which is why I have now given it four stars.

There's a very good reason why this is called Best Gay Erotica. I found the stories in here to be of the highest literary caliber. Plus, every last one was super hot and exceedingly original. Rosen has collected one hell of a unique batch of stories, ranging from comedy to suspense to sci fi, from priests, to cowboys to ghosts, moving from past, present to future. Pick this one up. You won't be disappointed!

Quite literally the best M/M erotica collection I've ever read! I'm always amazed at how this collection just keeps getting better and better. Kudos to Rosen for finding such great stories from every genre of writing. My favorites were The Real Thing (android sex), Fire and Pain (archaeologist S/M), Viva (Fidel's Cuba), The Other Side (ghosts), Incident at Yellow Rock (cowboy romance), and Valentinius (sex between an emperor and a future saint). But, really, all the stories shine!

A great anthology of sexy, short stories. Discovered some new to me authors that I will definitely be checking out. Loved this collection and would definitely recommend.
