It was a beautiful card. The problem was Hisoka wasn’t celebrating. It was another unwanted token from the Dom who’d trained him in the fine art of Shibari and to understand and appreciate the gift of submission. Hisoka knew things had to change as Jeff had become too fixated with having his former apprentice on his knees for him.
Moving to San Francisco should have been a fresh start—a new city, a new job, new friends, and a new club. And, best of all, a new sub. Danilo looked simply gorgeous wearing his Master’s knot work. However, things aren’t going as smoothly as Hisoka had hoped. Family issues, city-wide riots, and a stalker have complicated his life, but he’s determined to stand his ground for one reason—Danilo. The sub is worth it. Will Hisoka keep the best thing that’s ever happened to him or will outside forces destroy everything?
Are you ready to find out what all the buzz is about?
We’ve set the stage, created the characters, and fashioned a world full of twists and turns. Now it’s your turn to sit back and immerse yourself in this incredible series. Each episode weaves the characters and storylines of our standalone novels together to give you an epic crossover series.
No one is safe as corrupt politicians and dirty cops rule the street. A child’s death puts targets on the backs of those in law enforcement and sets two cities ablaze with riots. When the police chief’s daughter is kidnapped amid the chaos, will the Collective solve the case and rescue her in time?
Leona is a longtime staunch supporter of human rights and environmental causes. Her favourite genre to read is M/M fiction and she particularly enjoys science fiction, fantasy, and action/suspense subgenres—especially if they have a nice seasoning of romance. She has far too many books on her Kindle, has overloaded her phone with even more and, when not reading, writing, being driven to distraction by her children, or being overlorded by her three cats, can be found trying to locate the portal that the sock monster uses to steal socks from her dryer.
Hisoka is feeling threatened by an ex, who seems to be stalking him. He plans a move to a new city and a fresh start. He seems to be doing good there, meeting new ppl, new job and a great place to live. When Hisoka finally finds himself a perfect sub, the ex comes back to ruin it all for him. Loved this book!
Hisoka moves to San Fransico to get away from his ex, who is stalking him. When he finds the perfect sub, Danilo, he feels that maybe his past will finally be put to rest! But what if the ex won't leave him alone? I've never read this author before and the story just hooked me from the first page. Totally loved it and will be looking up other books by the author!
Eight authors eight standalone novels. The Collective is an epic crossover series that interconnects and weaves a storyline taking you on a thrill ride of deceit and deception. Can you figure out the answer before the very end?
In Ensnared, I learned everything I ever wanted to know about Japanese/American culture. But seriously, Leona Windwalker brought me into a world I knew nothing about and I was transported there living the life with Hisoka. She has a gift with words.
Hisoka Tsukuda has to pick up his life, move away from his family, find a new job and place to live all due to a creepy ex-lover/Dom who turns stalker in the second book of this series. Getting Hisoka's new life on track, his new job, where he eats, shops, whom he meets takes up a large chunk of the story, which may seem irrelevant, but don't let it fool you. Pay close attention because as you continue reading the other books you may remember clues from Hisoka's new life and those clues may help you solve the case. Once his stalker catches up to Hisoka, prepare for a very realistic look at a very sick man. (shudder)
Hisoka left an unhealthy arrangement with a Dom when the other man started to seem too attached. Now he finds himself living in a new city with a new job, in Hope's of escaping his unwanted suitor, Jeff. New friends lead to a new club and a gorgeous new sub Danilo. Unfortunately things aren't all sunshine and Rose's and real danger lurks in the shadows. Will Hisoka get a happy ending or will everything he is building anew be destroyed.
Ensnared:The Collective Season Two, Episode 2 is written by Leona Windwalker and The Collective, it is part of an entertaining and intriguing collection of books that although may be read as standalone, are all tied together to create a phenomenal experience.
This is an amazing story with intriguing and wonderful characters. The world is well developed and imagined, the characters all have personalities that pop off the pages and grab your interest. Although this can be a stand slone... I now want to go and read every other title in the series and immerse myself in this fantastic universe the authors have created.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
One of the great things about multi-author series like The Collective is that you get to read not only amazing books, but meet new authors. Leona Windwalker is a new author for me, but I can say I am hooked and will continue to read more. I am not one that reads M/M very often, but I really enjoyed Ensnared. At first I was not sure how this one would flow into the other, but by reading the later books it becomes obvious, and you realize a lot of clues hidden in this one. I loved the fact that this took place in California and you get to see a little more of Cali then the other books in the series. I love the story of Hisoka and Danilo and how they find each other and have this amazing connection. The safety of a new BDSM relationship is nicely intertwined into the getting to know a person vanilla style. **Definitely read the series in order it is the way to go**
The cover pic says it all for this book, really. Hisoka is a Dom, being pursued by another Dom that won't leave him alone. When Hisoka finds his perfect sub, his stalker has a meltdown. This happens in the context of a city in flames - with resources split for that as well. The writing is descriptive and almost frightening - the reader is there in that room being kept hostage, at the stalker's mercy. I would recommend this book wholeheartedly.
While I am not generally a big fan of M/M stories, this one drug me in right away. Hisoka is a Japanese Dom, who trained under another Dom. When the contract was finished, the other Dom wasn't willing to let go. Hisoka was forced to move away to get away from this man. He created a new life for himself, even finding a man that he enjoys spending time with. When Jeff finds him, however, things get really bad Can Hisoka survive long enough to get his HEA? Read and see.
Action packed from the opening pages, this story was the perfect combination of M/M D/s and a psycho ex boyfriend. Some scenes made me squeemish but overall another great tale to add to the collection. Hisoka and Danilo are easy to fall in love with and you just cannot help but hate Jeff.
I enjoyed this book. The Japanese Culture of Hisoka was very interesting. I loved the doggie day care and diners that the characters visited. There are quite a few typos and left out words which may take away from your reading experience.
This was my first book by Leona Windwalker and I read it as part of the Collective series. I can tell you it won’t be my last! I absolutely loved it. And the cover is awesome too.
This was a great story with lots of background and history to read. It's not your average romance story. I liked how you got to know them more. Great job.
this was really good.. sexy.. fun.. and very interesting to read.. it was wow... dark.. and amazingly well written.. you felt like you were there in the room with the characters.. you felt their emotions and what they are going through. very good story
Waited until I finished the entire series to comment. This was my first multi-author series.
Overall, The series was not what I expected. I thought each book would play off each other and tell more of a complete story. I did not find that to be the case in most of the books and felt that there was absolutely no reason to read all of the books so just choose the authors or plots that you like.
This books specific review: did not like the writing from this author. I had no problem with the content so that was not the problem. The descriptive nature of the writing was over the top. I think there was a chapter describing making lunch??? - or something along those lines. The chapter when he shops at Target was also a WTF writing. Not sure why it was included and unbelievable for SF.
