Kenotic Ecclesiology

Rate this book
The author of the book argues that the concept of kenosis in Phil. 2:7 could be used as a normative theme in response to various ecclesial challenges. First, he highlights the ecclesial reality within the context of the church in Philippi in which the kenotic model was introduced. Second, he surveys the meaning of kenosis in scholarly literature. Third, the author uses the kenotic paradigm to construct an ecclesial theology that emphasizes the consequential aspect of kenosis in relation to the pressing ethical issues that face the church.

This scholarly piece by Fr Seraphim expounds on a proper understanding of Kenosis and its very real need of being a vital way for a Christian to live. It is a seriously academic text but still encourages the reader to look up.
