Bear Valley: Where rugged men find more than a safe haven -- they find their mates.
My daughter Finley takes after me: stubborn, untamed, and wild. But seven year old girls can’t just roam free -- not when we live in bear country. Enter Kate. She’s new in town, sweet as honey, and can somehow manage to wrangle my little girl. And somehow she’s wrangled me, too. One night with her and I’m smitten -- more than that -- this woman is my mate. But I have a past that has my heart closed up, and the last thing I want to do is hurt a woman as precious as her. Kate has baggage of her own … she came to this valley to heal her wounds. And if I’m not careful, they might turn to scars.
The rugged mountain men of Bear Valley are ready to defend their untamed love.
Frankie Love writes filthy-sweet stories about bad boys and mountain men. As a thirty-something mom to six who is ridiculously in love with her own bearded hottie, she believes in love-at-first-sight and happily-ever-afters. She also believes in the power of a quickie.
❤️ Get ready to fall in love ... you deserve it! ❤️
This series seemed like something I would enjoy, the narration was fantastic. The story was ok. I enjoyed the setting of the books. They are all set in Alaska and revolve around 4 brothers and 4 friends.
This book was about Kate and Weston… Weston has a daughter Finley who runs away a lot. Sorry, this was just too unbelievable for me, I thought the kid was a brat. Who doesn’t nip this kind of stuff in the butt before she turns almost 7?
Besides the bratty kid, I liked Kate and Weston. That is all I really have to say about this one.
What I didn't like - 1. Weston's slutty past. Why do shifters who have fated mates out there sleep with other people? How is this really different than cheating? 2. Weird dialogue. No one refers to themselves as untamed, especially not multiple times. No one talks this way. The dialogue isn't as awkward, cheesy, and unnatural as in the first book, but it still is to some degree. 3. I don't understand the whole rivalry thing. The grizzlies don't seem like amazing people, but are they evil? Is there something I'm missing? Why can't some kind of visitation be arranged? 4. I thought the whole Anchorage stuff and cooking show stuff was either excessive or not done right.
What I liked - 1. Weston immediately accepting that Kate was his mate. Unnecessary dragging out of that stuff was avoided and it was awesome, though I do think Kate should have found out sooner. 2. I'm so glad Piper knows now. That way the next book won't have repetitive finding out halfway through the book stuff. I like that she will know going into it. But, I'm not crazy about Bennett. He sounds slutty and he avoids kissing so he doesn't find his mate. I think both things are gross. 3. Finley. I really liked her, and I like how perceptive she was and accepting of Kate from the start. Their connection is pretty sweet. 4. The ending. I wish there was more to it but I still liked the ending. Maybe more will be mentioned in the next book. 4. Weston wasn't as slutty as I thought. I'm not crazy about his past, but it was all before Finley, so it had been a really long time for him, and he was really changed and reformed. There wasn't any ex drama, aside from Heidi's family being crazy, but that's different. When Weston ran i to an ex, I was worried about drama or OP sex details of the past, which I hate. But, I like how tbat was done. The ex hookup chick was nice and was happy for him that he'd found the "real thing". Most run-ins with exes of any kind in books are usually hostile or petty or give past details I don't want to hear about, and the ex is usually crazy or dumb or obsessive. This run-in was none of these things. It was really different, and I appreciate that.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It was really good for a book of this type and length. There were so few errors tgst I don't remember what they were. I do recommend this series. Just beware of the first in the series. I love tbe couple and that both were virgins, but a lot of the dialogue was so bad. Very unnatural and awkward. It is good overall. Don't give up on the series after reading it Books 2 and 3 are better
Weston Koleman was known in Bear Valley the bad boy player until his Finley was born that is. Never even gave a thought to a woman again, till he gave in to temptation and stole a kiss from Kate that is, then he discovered that the fates were really looking down on him, she's his mate and she would be a terrific mom to his daughter too. She seems to be the only one Finley listens to, not to mention the fact that Finley really, really likes being with her and she never runs away when she's around Kate either. Now all he has to do is convince her that he has changed his old ways and that she's the only one for him.
Kate has writers block, maybe it just wasn't meant to be, baking will always be her thing, oh and waiting for her Prince Charming to come charging in. When Weston steals a kiss from her she throws caution to the wind and winds up doing the naughty which is so not her at all. Will Weston now go to his old ways now that she's opened the dam after his 7 years of celibacy?
These Koleman boys are really bringing life to Bear Valley!
Who would have thought that I would be anxious to read a paranormal book? Seriously? Would you? If you had been following my reviews you would see that this genre is not my cup of tea but being written by these two authors I knew that I needed to read it. I just had to so here I was with my kindle in one hand and a cup of tea in the other ready to start. Nervous and curious at the same time. And guess what?? I devour it in a sec... Untamed Daddy is their latest release and it's the third book from the Mountain Men Bear Valley series and oh boy. But before I tell you a little bit about about this book I need to tell you something. Despite all books are standalones you should read the first two books and then start this one. Trust me... You'll love it. This new book explores the lifes of Weston and Kate. Weston is a single dad that focus his life raising his daughter the best he can. His baby momma had died and since that day he's doing his best with the help of his mother and brothers. And he hides a secret... Love isn't in the cards for him because he had suffered and he needs to focus on getting his daughter safe. Kate left everything behind to follow her 3 best friends to a new town. When they settled, they open a Bookstore Cafe and she was able to not only be with her friends but also baking, something that she really enjoys. But she's a bookworm by heart and readjng and writing his her passion as well. Even after experiencing a loss she still hopes to find her happy ending but... I can't stop smiling. This book was perfect in every way. The plot is amazing, very well written, super engaging and intense. It's amazing how these two could portrait the struggle to find the happy ending. The need to get out of our shells and fight for what we want. The interaction between the characters is beautiful and they are perfect for each other. This book presented us with love, loyalty, friendship as well as dreams, hotness and danger. Of course that a great book needs to have some drama... Lol I'm addicted to this series and I can't wait for the next book. Chantel and Frankie please tell me it won't take that long? I need more... I want more... Asap. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
"When you find true love, you hold on tight. You don’t let go. Instead, you go all in."-pg 115
This book made me so darn angry 😠 then it made me so happy. Weston is stubborn and he only wants to make sure that his baby girl is safe. But Finley runs away from home all the time and then one day she starts running away to the local bakery where Kate a silent beauty bakes the Day away. What Weston doesn’t know is that she is his mate. That one kiss 😘 and an attempt to have a one night stand will turn into the woman of his dreams.
Weston Koleman has been raising his 6 year old daughter Finley with the help of his family since she was born. Finley's mom was not his mate, and not a Kodiak, but Grizzly. Finley wasn't planned, but was wanted and loved. Heidi died after giving birth, and Weston has carried the guilt since. They never should have hooked up. Grizzly's and Kodiak's have been feuding for generations. Finley's birth has strained the Kodiak and Grizzly relations even further. Heidi's family wants Fin with them, there is no way that Weston is giving up his daughter. Fin is a precocious, and stubborn, with a habit of running off when ever the mood strikes her. She has taken a liking to his new sisters in law's friend Kate. Kate lost her fiance' to a drunk driver. Trying to move forward she followed her best friends to Alaska to stat over, or at least take a year away and write the books she has been dreaming of. The writing isn't going so well. She has her first love, baking to fall back on, and running her friends bookstore and cafe. Then there is little Finley who she has become fond of and her handsome dad. Kate is looking for Prince Charming and that's not Weston. Weston's focus in on his daughter, he is drawn to Kate, and when he impulsively kissed her, he know why. She is his mate and she is thinking about leaving sooner than the year she planned. Weston has to explain what he is, what it means to be a mate and hopes Kate will want to stay, while protecting his daughter. Fast paced and steamy. Loved Weston and Kate and Finley. Really feel heat broken for Finley's Grizzly family. Good or bad, can't imagine how hard it would be to have no relationship with your deceased sisters child. Hoping they get a story.
Book 3 in the series - Highly recommend reading about these Hot Alaskan shifters!
For adults only (18+ years) Contains subject matter that may be a trigger, or offensive to some including: adult language, steamy adult intimate scenes and violence (fighting as men & bear shifters, kidnapping, assault and death). If any of these types of situations are a trigger, or offensive to you, then this may not be the story or series for you.
This is the third book in the Mountain Men of Bear Valley series. Although it could be read as a standalone, I highly recommend that the stories be read in order. Otherwise there will be spoilers and things not explained in detail from previous stories.
In this edition, Weston and Kate find their way to HEA. Weston knows what it is like to be reckless and not care about always following the rules and now he is being paid back, as his adorable little girl is exactly like him. Finlay is always running off and seems to have taken an interest in Kate, who moved here with Adelaide and two other friends to take over a business left to Adelaide when her grandmother passed.
Kate is a great baker and left her job in a Seattle restaurant to try and pursue her dream of writing a novel. She has been thinking lately that it might have been a mistake, because what she has wrote so far seems very flat. Then Finley starts to keep her company at the bookstore when she is baking. She is fiesty and keeps Kate from being as lonely. Then after she walked Finley home and ended up sharing a kiss with her very rugged and handsome father, maybe she needed to leave sooner rather than later.
I am going to stop there as I don't want to accidentally provide any spoilers or twists.
Kate is ready to form a family, to be a wife, to have a baby, to be a mother, all the things. Sadly there hasn't been any man in her life capable of giving her that. Until Weston showed up in her life, with a ready-made family in the form of a rambunctious little girl. Finley is a little girl without a mother, with a father that can turn into a bear, that has a short temper, so she seeks attention in the worst way possible: she runs away every time she can. Weston is a single parent. Not by choice mind you but because of something terrible, that happened in the past. Now he has to raise a little girl that doesn't listen to him and when he finds his mate in Kate, things look a little better. Except when a dangerous man from the past shows up to take Finley away. Writing wise the story was on point. There was a certain element of structural similarity with the other two stories before this one but I think it's just because you have to have a skeleton to write a good story and a good series fast. More so if you're co-writing the books in the series. Character development is something that I always look in books, no matter how short they are and in this case, I was expecting a small development but I actually saw the most of it on Finley. I loved the way that little girl learned to trust Kate and to obey her father. I would recommend this book and this whole series to any good lover of fated mates paranormal romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wes's history has taught him that the mate bond is nothing to take lightly, so despite his determination otherwise, he knows his single days are over the instant he realizes that Kate is his mate. Kate, however, has no idea about the made bond, much less that Wes, as well as all the Koleman brothers, are actually bear shifters.
She falls quickly for Wes, but is conflicted over her desire to return to her stellar career as a pastry chef in Seattle. Living in the middle of Nowhere, Alaska feels like a waste of her unique skills, but she's never had a relationship like the one she has with Wes and his daughter, Finley.
This was another wonderful book in an exciting series, with Wes and Kate having a few more hurdles to cross and a much less clear path to their HEA. The unique aspects of the mate bond took her by surprise and took quite a long time for her to accept, and I thought the authors handled the downsides to their enhanced communication with great insight. It's a great story, well-written and captivating from start to finish. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Wes and Kate feature in this third book in the Mountain Men of Bear Valley by Frankie Love and Chantel Seabrook with his adorable daughter Finlay bringing them together. He had her but not with his fated Mate and this lead to untold both with the Grizzly Clan nearby. But Finlay's mum died and they want her. Finlay is quite a character and in nee of a mother figure in her life. She latches onto Kate who is a tv chef and new to the Valley. Wes is immediately attracted to her but she's not staying and he knows that if he kisses her that he will be lost as he knows she is his Mate. What happens when they do get together and she discovers the truth about him? Then what will happen when she gets a fantastic offer? Wes, Kate and Finlay are wonderful characters that are so easy to love and it is so well written that you will be trapped between the pages not wanting it to finish but, at the same time, needing to know what happens. These two authors on their own are great but together they are terrific! I look forward to book 4 with anticipation. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Most Definitely Recommended!
This is the third book in the mountain men of bear valley, and this has to be my favourite so far. This story has suspense, drama and a sweet romance. This is a fast paced quick read but full of everything you could wish for, I loved the character development with Wes and Kate.
Wes, is s single father who has six year old, Finley. She pushes the boundaries and rules that her dad sets up for her. The rules are there to protect her as her mother died in childbirth. Her mother belonged to the grizzly shifters. Wes, fell in love with her and although she was a fated mate to another, they still chose to be together.
Finley, runs off again and Wes finds himself looking for her down main street, he finds her sitting in the bookstore watching Kate bake cookies. Kate is shy but loves to spend time with Finley. Wes kisses Kate and realises that she is his mate. Can he convince her that he loves her?? Will she still want to be with him when she knows that he is a shifter??
I highly recommend this read. This can be read as a standalone but you will get more enjoyment and a better understanding of the characters if you read the series as the characters overlap in each book.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Mountain Men of Bear Valley series. In this book, Weston is a bear shifter and a single father to his six year old daughter Finley. Finley has a habit of running off and Wes has been trying to get her to behave. One day Finley ends up at the bakery and bookstore owned by his brother's wife and her friends. Wes is angry about her running off, but finds her baking with Kate. Kate recently moved to Alaska with her friends and hasn't dated since her fiance died in a car accident. Kate is considering moving back to Seattle to work as a pastry chef and even was offered a cooking show. Wes kisses Kate one day after she brings Finley home after watching her, and Wes realizes Kate is his fated mate. When Kate learns she is Wes's mate, she doesn't know if she can handle it and if she can risk her heart. Kate also must decide if she wants to stay in Alaska. I love this series and this was another good one. I love how Wes and Kate wanted to take time to get to know each other and how Kate also considered Finley and how it would affect her.
Weston's daughter Finley is a hand full and she takes an instant liking to Kate. Kate moved to Bear Valley with her best friends to write but it isn't happening like she thought it would. Sparks fly between her and Weston but she thinks he isn't ready for one woman because of his reputation. Weston is drawn to Kate but it isn't until he sees her trying to protect his daughter from a "bear" that he knows she is what he wants. After Weston helps her home when she twists her ankle they end up kiss and they next thing Kate knows is she can hear his thoughts in her head. Weston knows she is his mate but when a chance to have her dreams is offered to her he tries to back off. Its only when Kate gets what she thinks she wants that she knows its not really what she needs. Can Kate forgive Weston for keeping such a big secret?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between Weston and Kate is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

"This is an Incredible and Sweet Bear shifter Romance" This story is so sweet and exciting! You will fall in love with the stunning characters! I need to say this story and series will keep you glued to their pages. Weston is a fierce and protective single father. He is also a sexy Bear shifter. His daughter Finiley aka Fin mother died during child birth. For six years he has raised her in his own. Then he met Kate when he ends up kissing her. He discovers she is his fated mate. Only one problem Kate is human. Even though her best friends mates and married Weston's brothers. Kate does not know about shifters. Fin adores Kate and wants her as her mother. There is danger that surrounds Fin. As her Mother's family keep trying to kidnap her! Can Weston protect his daughter and his fated mate? Will Kate accept them when she learns what Weston is? You will adore this super sweet, exciting, thrilling, funny, suspenseful, and scorching hot Bear shifter Romance. This is a five star plus story and series.
Wes never thought he would get involved with a woman. He had his hands full with his daughter doing whatever she felt like. His attraction to Kate is annoying and he figures maybe if he scratches the itch, it will go away. Kate is hesitant to get involved with a man again. Wes gives in and kisses her and he knows she is his mate. Now he has to convince her that a bear can be her Prince Charming!
This is the second book out of this series I have read, coming to the party a little out of order. I still need to swing back and read the first of the Untamed books. Wes and Kate were fun to watch fall in love. Some people avoid the whole mate trope that you see in paranormal but these ladies know how to write it and make you long for it for yourself. They both were so lonely and wanted that happily ever after but were afraid to try and grab it. Finley, Weston's daughter, is a firecracker and she really helps bring these two together. This is a fun paranormal romance that also gets you in the feels. I urge you to try Untamed Daddy along with the rest of the Untamed series.
Although you could probably read this book as a stand alone, I recommend you read the previous books first. Getting to know all the characters and their backgrounds will enrich your experience while reading this book. Kate has moved to Bear Valley, AK with 3 of her friends. She is trying to move on from the loss of her fiance. She had been a very successful pastry chef in Seattle but moves with her friends, thinking she will write a book. Weston, a Kodiak bear, is a single father. His daughter's mother, who was someone else's mate and part of the Grizzly clan, died after childbirth. How the two of them are brought together, Weston's background, Kate's opportunities that are drawing her back to Seattle and events they must face are all parts of their story. Of course you will still have a steamy connection that happens between fated mates but the story has more than that. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and I look forward to the next book in the series.

I borrowed Untamed Daddy the third book in the 'Mountain Men of Bear Valley' from the Kindle Unlimited Program.
Weston Koleman is a single Dad to his daughter Finley after her mother died in childbirth. Fin is an active little girl with a strong will and he has a hard time keeping her safe in the wilds of Alaska. Her mother's family a grizzly shifters is a constant threat.
Finley is attracted to Kate one of the new women in town that is best friends with two of his brothers mates and wives. When Weston kisses her he knows she is his fated mate but he needs to take it slow.
Threats from the grizzly shifters; Finley's desire to run free; Kate's fame and the career she left behind are some of the issues that Wes has to face. He is sweet and always puts Kate's well-being first. This is an emotion filled romance full of surprises and the extra cuteness of Finley always getting to the point in her direct childlike perspective. I loved Untamed Daddy from start to finish.
Untamed But Cultivated Reading Untamed Daddy is Book 3 of the Mountain Men of Bear Valley Series. This story features, Another Koleman Bear Shifter Brother, Weston and top notch baker, Kate who is up from Seattle visiting friends. Weston has a six year old precocious daughter, Finley. Weston is seriously attracted to Kate and when he kisses her she becomes his mate, unbeknownst to her. So he must convince her to stay while protecting both Finley and Kate from Grizzlies ho want to kidnap his daughter. How will this play out? Will Kate remain or is all this too overwhelming and all she wants to do is bake? VERDICT: I liked Book 3 even though I didn't read the first two, which I probably will now do as there is a Book 4, Untamed Fiancé coming out in November, 2018. The authors did a solid job with the storyline and characters. Even though I came into the series late, I got a good sense of who everyone was. Recommend I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book.

Weston has been known to bend the rules, after all this single father had s child with someone else’s mate and a grizzly shifter at that. He has his hands full with Finley, his rambunctious six year old who has a habit of running off. He’s been alone since Finley was born and never intended on finding his mate, let alone her being friends with his brothers mates. Kate is trying to find her way, after a tragedy took her fiancé three years ago she gives up her job and a world renowned pastry chef to become a writer and work along side her best friends. Finley is the key to them coming together. Danger finds a way to her as she’s out with Kate. The relationship starts but there’s major hurdles that threaten their mating. The epilogue is cute and becomes heated very quickly. Another amazing book added to this spectacular series

Great book from this very talented writing duo they are fast becoming one click authors for me they write it I'll read it because I know that it will be a great read and this book was no exception
This is Kate's story the third of the girls that came to Alaska to get away from their lives and she is about to meet life head on with Wes. Kate came with her friends to get over the loss of her boyfriend to a drunk driver she swears she will never open herself up to hurt again. Wes is a single father to a daughter Finley he lost her mother in childbirth he knew that she wasn't is mate but they had a wonderful marriage and he as sworn never to love again. When Finley runs away yet again Wes finds her in Kate's shop They are interested in one another but decide one night is all that they are willing to give Then when Wes kisses her he realises she is his mate Now he has to rethink all his ideas and convince a human about true mates when they don't even know about shifters.
This is the third book in the series and my favorite thus far. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the books in order. All relationships have baggage. Weston became involved with a woman who was not his mate from another bear shifting clan. Their union resulted in his daughter Finley which only added to the antagonistic feelings between the bear clans. Kate is a very talented pastry chef who was involved with a man who was taken before his time. Kate begins to spend time with Finley in the hope that she will learn some boundaries and rein in her rambunctious behavior. However, Kate is struggling with her willingness to stay in Alaska or return home to Seattle to follow her dreams. As Weston realizes that Kate is his mate, will he hold her back or let her go? This is one action filled storyline packed with suspense and drama that you want to one click and read! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The third book of the Bear Valley series features Wesley, the brother, who has already a child of 6. His daughter is his life until he meets one of his sister-in-law's best friends, Kate and recognizes her as his mate. Scared to frighten her away, and wary, as she already is talking about returning to Seattle to continue baking he still tries to bind her more closely to him and his daughter Finley. When the Grizzlies again come to kidnap Finley the situation gets worse .... The story lives of the angst that both Wesley and Kate have of the unknown and of wanting the best for the other and Finley, but also of the stong bond of mates. It is definitely easier to read if you know the first two books, but they are not necessary - the book is still clear enough to understand as a stand-alone story. This is the third book in the Mountain Men of Bear Valley paranormal romance series and the story picks up where Untamed Lovers left off. This time it’s Gunnar’s twin Weston who finds his mate in Kate, the baker at Adelaide’s bookshop. I enjoyed Kate’s character and liked how she came out of her shell when she met Weston. I enjoyed their sweet romance and the struggles each had with accepting that they deserved a second chance at happiness. Finley was a great character – so precocious and full of adventure! This is a quick novella that’s well written with plenty of drama, angst, some humour, shifter action, and some steamy scenes.

Weston is a bear shifter and a single dad to a 6 year old daughter Finley, right now he’s walking through Main Street of the town looking for her because she ran off again. Weston finds Finley in Kate’s shop she is sitting on a stool watching Kate bake cookies, Weston was in love with Finley’s mum but she wasn’t his mate she came from the grizzly pack and she died giving birth to Finley. Kate had lost her boyfriend 3 years ago from a drunk driver she misses him and she likes Weston but she can’t read him. Weston is attracted to Kate but he only wants one night with her but that’s until he kisses her. This is a fantastic story and I loved each and every book and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I was a little worried I was getting a Daddy romance in the mix but was surprised to discover that this would be my favorite book so far. I was finally get Wes and Finley’s book!
This Bear shifting daddy needs some help taming his little girl and he has finally found the mate to do it. This book focuses mainly on a ready made family with single father,Wes, his daughter Finley and the resident bake Kate. When Wes is in need of help with his daughter Kate is the first to help, but when a rival clan comes after his little girl who will be there to protect them both.
Another rollercoaster ride from start to finish! I can’t wait to find out what Love and Seabrook have in store for us next!
*** I received this ARC at no cost from the author ***
