Cynthia Woolf is the USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author of eighty-five works of romance fiction. Comprising sixty-six historical western romances, ten contemporary romance novels, two contemporary romance novellas, one historical western romance novella, and six sci-fi space opera romances, which she calls westerns in space. Along with these books, she has also published twelve boxed sets of her books and two short stories.

Cynthia loves writing and reading romance. Her first western romance, Tame A Wild Heart, was inspired by the story her mother told her of meeting Cynthia's father on a ranch in Creede, Colorado. Although Tame A Wild Heart takes place in Creede, that is the only similarity between the stories. Her father was a cowboy, not a bounty hunter, and her mother was a nursemaid (called a nanny now), not the ranch owner.

Cynthia credits her wonderfully supportive husband, Jim, and her great critique partners for saving her sanity and allowing her to explore her creativity.

The fourth book in the Brides of Seattle series the story of the Talbot brothers continues. This is a story about love and forgiveness. I really felt that the author did a beautiful job portraying a hard subject of rape and violence and how to forgive and love again.

Nicole Wescott has many secrets and become victim to a horrible situation. Her self-worth is low and she struggles with trust. I loved watching her love and trust Michael. He is a kind and wonderful man with heartbreak of his own. With time, trust, and patience they both heal and become one.

I have really enjoyed this series! I cannot wait to continue the story of the Talbot family and their adventures. I highly recommend it!

Michael Talbot was working for the father of the woman he loved, Ada. Just as he was going to ask her to marry him, she told him she was going to marry her father’s lawyer. Michael left and went back to Seattle to his brother’s house. His sister in law told him that there was going to be a get together in a few days with the women who came to Seattle to be Brides. He ended up going and meeting Nichole Westcott who is a beautiful red head. He had an instant feeling with her and she loved horses. He was just starting a horse farm. His place was about an hour away by horseback, and he said he would be back after he got the buildings up. He was gone for three weeks and in that time she was engaged to Clay Mathers. His sister in laws told her he was not a good man. Unfortunately she found out when she told him she did not want to marry Clay. Luckily Michael was around and found Nichole when she stared screaming. He saved her and married her.

Clay was a nasty man and was going to do whatever he could to get Nichole back as he felt she was his. There were some scary times that Michael and Nichole had to go through because of Clay. Nichole had some terrible things happen to her when she was young and therefore afraid of consummating her marriage. I loved how Michael was so patient with Nichole. I felt bad for all the things that happened to her. Michael’s family are so close knit and were always there to help. If you enjoy reading about the western days, then you will love this book like I did. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

I received an advance copy of this book, and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.

I consider Cynthia Woolf the “Queen of Mail Order Brides.” Mail Order Moonlight is the fourth book in her “Brides of Seattle” series.

Michael Talbot, the main character in this book, is the brother of the three Talbot brothers who are the heroes in the first three books. However, Michael does not help them run their lumber business nor does he live in Bridal Veil Mountain near them.

Instead, Michael is a rancher who is working on a horse ranch outside of the city. Unfortunately, things at the ranch don’t work out, so Michael leaves to buy his own land where he plans to build his own ranch.

When this book starts, Michael has the land but hasn’t yet built his house, barn or any of the other buildings yet. Therefore, he stays at his brother’s house until he is able to move into his own place.

One evening, Michael joins them in a get-together held so that the women and the men can all get to know each other. While there, his sisters-in-law introduce him to Nicole.

Michael and Nicole are instantly attracted to each other. They discover they share a love for horses. Michael, then, goes back to live at his ranch so he can quickly get the house built. He wants to marry Nicole and bring her back to his ranch. Unfortunately, it takes Michael longer than he expects. Meanwhile, Nicole becomes engaged to another man, Clay.

When Michael finds out, he prepares to return to his ranch when he discovers Nicole, loudly sobbing inside the Seattle livery. Her clothes are torn, and her face shows that she has been violently beaten by Clay. Michael asks her to marry him, and takes her home to his ranch to recuperate.

Ms. Woolf does a wonderful job of creating caring and lovable characters. Nicole is independent and vulnerable at the same time. Her family has servants so she has no wifely skills to speak of. Yet, she is more than willing to learn so she can be an asset to her husband.

I also love and respect Michael. He knows Nicole has been through a very traumatic experience, so he volunteers to wait until Nicole heals before he claims his “marital relations.” He is gentle and understanding as he helps her heal from the Clay’s attack.

Mail Order Moonlight is a little different from the other books in this series. It immediately starts with Nicole’s catastrophic beating. Although we know who did it, the sheriff can’t do anything about it because he has no proof. So, Michael and Nicole are constantly watching their own backs to make sure Clay doesn’t attack them again.

Lastly, I enjoy all of Ms. Woolf’s books, but I especially like this book because it leans more toward my favorite genre, romantic suspense.

Mail Order Moonlight is book four in the Brides of Seattle series. It follows a group of one hundred mail order brides that have come to Seattle to marry the loggers in the town. You get to follow each of the brides as they find their forever.

Mail Order Moonlight follows Nicole Wescott. She is introduced to Michael Talbot at a dance and immediately feels the dynamic that exists between them. Micheal has just been told by his fiance that she will not marry him so Michael is surprised when he feels that same dynamic between him and Nicole so soon after their break up. Nicole and Michael talk but then Michael leaves promising to return in a few weeks. When he leaves, Nicole dances with another man, Clay Mathers.

When Michael returns to Seattle to ask Nicole to court him, he finds her beaten and almost raped by Clay. He takes her for medical treatment and marries her right away to protect her from Clay. Once Nicole recovers from her injuries, they move to Michael's ranch. They learn to trust one another slowly and their marriage becomes one that is a true marriage but only through patience and trust. But they have an enemy that is determined to get Nicole back with him and to hurt Michael.

The book deals with some serious issues like attempted rape, sexual abuse and physical abuse. But you also get to see the healing that comes on the other side of that. The book is steamy at times but between a husband and wife.

I love how Michael and Nicole grow together and work through their fears. He wants so badly to protect her, and she wants to not be alone anymore.
Nicole Wescott came to Seattle to start new and run from her secrets. At one dance she meets two men, and both appear interested in her, but one leaves right away and the other stays in town. She likes them both. She had no idea that one will be everything she wants while the other is worse than any nightmare or secret she may have.

Michael Talbot was is not sure about women. His fiancée married another man. Now single he rides to tell his brothers of the change, only to be roped into a meeting with the mail order brides. He meets Nicole and thinks maybe but one it is too soon, and two he needs to get his home built. When he comes back to town a few weeks later one for supplies and two to ask Nicole to marry him he hears she is to marry another. However, when he is in the stables he hears soft sobbing. He checks on it and finds Nicole beaten up and is told it was by Clay the other man.

Michael asks Nicole to marry him and tells she he will keep her safe. She agrees, they marry and then the trouble comes. Can they survive and stay together?

I love the Talbot men. Nicole had endured so much before she became one of the brides, but what she endured at the hands of her fiancée is horrible. Michael had been jilted by the woman he loved and came home to his family. While there he meets the beautiful Nicole. He tells her he has to leave to build his house, but will return to her. While Michael is gone, Nicole falls for a charming man, but he isn't so charming. Everyone warned her, but she didn't really believe them at first. When she finally realized she was making a mistake and tried to break it off, he beat her. When Michael gets back to town, he hears a woman crying and goes to investigate. Horrified by what he found, he takes Nicole to the doctor and promptly proposes to her. He will do anything to keep her safe. They are married and they hardly know each other. Will they be able to make their marriage work when they both have things in their past that they need to put away?

Mail Order Moonlight by Cynthia Woolf id the fourth book of the series, Brides of Seattle. this story deals with a subject that is often overlooked currently as well as historically, abuse. the series is based on the fact that Michael Talbot and his brothers brought a group of 100 brides to Seattle to keep the lumberjacks that work for them happy. The mail order brides all had reasons for coming. This is Michael Talbot's story along with the story of Nicole, one of the after being betrayed and abused.mail order brides. This is a story of learning to trust, love and forgiveness after being betrayed and abused. Cynthia Woolf does a great job of keeping your interest with twists and turns in the plot. This is a mystery and the suspense that goes with it as well as romance sort of.

The day Michael rescued Nicole in the stables, a bond was forged that went deeper than either of them could have anticipated. This suspenseful Western love story brings all the elements of romance together, whilst at the same time continuing with the Brides of Seattle series. Michael proves himself to be a man of his word, however Nicole's wounds go deep and trust is not something she gives lightly. Michael gives her the time that she needs to understand that he will do everything he can to win her trust, but continued attacks on the couple bring them into danger as the threats escalate. Many of the characters in previous books in this series appear in this one too, but it is nevertheless a standalone and can be read as such. I received a copy of this well-written story and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Another great addition to this series. Some difficult issues are dealt with in this book. So perhaps a PG-13 rating for the more sensitive or younger reader. While this can be a stand alone, more enjoyment will be found in reading the series in order.
Nicole Wescott falls in love with Michael Talbot. Nicole is looking for someone to protect her. Michael is on the rebound from a relationship where he was betrayed by the woman he was courting. Nicole had entered into an engagement impulsively and then realized that the man was not as he presented himself. He becomes the monster that the 2 must always be alert for.
Cynthia Woolf's template for her stories always entertains.

“Mail Order Moonlight” is the fourth book in Cynthia Woolf”s Brides of Seattle series. Michael Talbot and his brothers brought a group of 100 brides to Seattle to keep the lumberjacks that work for them happy, but Michael has sworn off love until he meets Nicole Westcott. Nicole, came to Seattle to become a bride in order to escape a family conflict, and when she met Michael Talbot she thought that there was a spark, but when he did not come back to Seattle, she found herself engaged to another. However, circumstances changed and Nicole finds herself with Michael. The two face many challenges in order to find the love they are both seeking. This long awaited 4th "Brides of Seattle" did not disappoint at all. I was so happy to read this story of Michael and Nicole and loved it. Michael has asked another woman to marry him, but she turns him down and he decides he will never let another woman hurt him. But wait, he meets Nicole and falls for her, but she has been hurt in the past and is afraid to trust, even though she knows that Michael is a good man and won't hurt her. I can't wait to read the story of Adam and Karen in the next "Brides of Seattle" book. I highly recommend this book, in fact I recommend the whole series.

”Mail-Order Moonlight - Book 4 of the Brides of Seattle series“ by Cynthia Woolf is a tale of a serious lack of trust turning to heartfelt devotion between two people ...Michael Talbot and Nicole Wescott.....who are haunted by terrible secrets from their individual pasts....but for whom once joined together ...marriage becomes the cement ....for a building glorious new future for both of them. This story beautifully illustrates the healing power of Love. MUCH enjoyed and Highly Recommended.

3.50 Stars. This mail-order bride story adds in more interest than the typical plot. Like most of these brides, Nicole is clueless about the hardness of life in the West or household chores. Nicole suffers from what today would be called PTSD. She had a traumatic childhood and is badly assaulted right after meeting Michael Talbot.
Michael is an honorable man with patience of a Saint. Nicole couldn’t found a better mate. Unfortunately, they both still have to deal with Nicole’s attacker which adds some suspense to this story.

She becomes a mail order bride to escape abuse at home only to find it where she goes. He finds her and marries her. But they both have trust issues and need to work them out in order to come together emotionally. I highly recommend it. I would read the whole series. Great books to curl up with. Learning to trust in love and the opposite sex is sometimes difficult, especially when heart and spirits have been broken. This is the story of Michael and Nicole, both who have a past they would rather forget. Thankfully, fate and family intervene to bring them together. This is an enjoyable and sweet series, yet each book can easily be read as a standalone. With 100 brides available for marriage, I hope to enjoy Ms. Woolf's books for quite some time.

The much awaited sexy brother number 4 does not disappoint. Romance continues to bloom with the 100 brides who came west looking for love. This bride overcomes the horrors of her past, while recovering from a brutal beating and learns about living on the outskirts of wild Seattle as the rugged men of the west attempt to tame the city. Great historical and romantic read. Check out all the other brothers stories and romances too.

Good story.

While the storyline is good, the dialogue is tedious and very redundant. Could be improved with some serious editing. Conflict resolution lacks complexity.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review and all opinions are my own. I really enjoyed this book it is the 4th in the series but in my opinion can be read as a stand alone. One of the great thing about this series is that there is an epilogue for each set of main characters that doesn't give away anything of anyone else in the series.
