I live and work in the beautiful hilly town of Lewes, near Brighton with my husband, two sons and two cats. I have made lots of children’s books, working with many publishers including PenguinRandomHouse, Macmillan and Bloomsbury. Making children's books is the best job ever and so fun, I knew this would be my job even when I was in primary school!

This is a simple, appealing little book that follows a little girl and her dad through making pizza. The text is designed more as questions for an adult to read to a child and not so much as narration - asking what goes on next, and so on. I appreciate that it focuses on a multiracial family, with dad actively engaging in cooking with the toddler. This is somewhere between board book and regular paper - durable enough for young kids. I'd read this if you're looking for a good book for a little conversation at a very basic level, but not if you're looking for a standard story (even though the actual events are pretty standard.)

Fun little reader to teach how jobs need to be done start to finish.

See lots of teaching conversations with this little gem. One place I wish the picture was more detailed was at the store when they talk about amount due and change back - but that is when imagination comes into play ... Let's say we owe $10 and we give them $20 ... even for littles, this would be a fun lesson in life skills.

The books help children for having their practical life by helping parents to prepare simple meals. . Simple conversational text and lively illustrations are carefully designed to encourage further dialogue between parents and our child.

I could take or leave this book, but it's my 21-month-old's absolute favorite right now. She asks for it by name.
